Ran into Sammy and his wife in his bar in Mill Valley. It was the last night of our American holiday before we came home to Australia. I was nearly in tears after following him for 30 years. I apologised for interrupting their night and he said, "Don't be sorry!" and gave me a huge hug. We did shots of his Mesquila, talked music for half an hour and he asked my son a lot of questions about school and music. Best night of my life! I'm a 47 year old man and he gives me chills every time I hear him sing.
Gaddddaammmit! 72 years old - still got his finger dexterity, (most of) his vocal range, all his hair, still ROCKIN' in a power band -- I gotta put tequila in my diet more often.

Some rockers in the later years you can tell they're just going through the motions and doing it only for the money, but not these guys, HELL NO! You can tell there's nothing they enjoy more than tearing it up for an audience and they all give 110% every performance, especially Michael and Sammy!

Being a fan of Sammy Hagar since his Montrose days, and even more so during his solo period, I don’t think Michael complimented this song in the least. I actually like Michael, I just don’t think he does well on anything from Sammy’s solo work, at least not as backup vocal. It’s simply a matter of taste and opinion. I wouldn’t want to hear him singing on Bad Motor Scooter or Three Lock Box. That’s just my taste and opinion. I didn’t want to hear or see Sammy singing with Van Halen.
