Its the same problem as sombra, balls contribution isnt as easily visible to your team and so as far as they car it doesnt exist. Ball or sombra behind their lines wiping out their healers and stopping the enemy team from grouping up? Suddenly its your fault because youre not "with the team" or "contributing to group fights", if youre the best on your team and you lose, its still your fault naturally.
As much as i dislike Widow players: they get flamed faster than anyone else if they aren't popping off from the get go. People just LOVE to blame others, no matter what.

People are so quick to blame. I had a game of KR defence as ball. Gate opened and some chump playing Soldier decides to peek the widow and insta-dies. The same guy is telling me I'm throwing the game while he's coming back from spawn. The rest of the team join in and spend most of the game flaming me, so I leave voice. In the end, we lost by about 10 metres on C -- the game was super winnable, but my team decided that I was throwing halfway through the first teamfight and spent a lot of emotional energy telling me I was the problem. After the game, a few people on my team said "report ball" in chat, and other team was like "? Ball was good" I don't mind it if someone politely asks me to switch after a few minutes of us getting rolled, but some people will literally throw the game / mentally boom themselves because of your pick _before leaving spawn_. People be brain-dead.

As a vet OW player never ever tell anyone to swap. The only thing you can do is suggest a good hero swap and ask if they want to play it or if they can play it.

Practice and swing out wide towards the outer edge of the pit so the grapple is like / rather than | = less vertical distance = less likely to touch the water and die. It's a tricky one tbh, I can do it from a few different positions, but the one in the vid is too risky for me to try in a comp game.
Practice in a custom game with the workshop code that lets you spawn stationary bots and try until you get it right. Put them on the bridge so u can practice knocking them off. I dont remember what the code is but search "all wrecking ball techs" on youtube and theres a video from a few days ago. In the description is the code for it

Ball! Incidentally, I had a QP match just now with a Sweaty Cassidy talking trash after we lost the First Round. Called him a sweaty tryhard and my team went on winning the 2 rounds straight. I stalled the point for close to 20 seconds until my mates got back from spawn and won. We rolled at Round 3 because the enemies keep WASTING their hooks and darts on me and MISSING. Accused me of being a smurf account. 🤣🤣🤣
To be fair, the first game was really really rough looking, and a lot of the things said were fair criticisms. But the next rounds were really good nice job and nice recovery.
Oasis University is a tricky map for ball. A lot of good spots for tech but it all depends on how good the team is at capitalizing on ball taking the enemy backline through small hallways and forcing them to chase it so their backs are to the team.

Hi, I have just started to play overwatch now getting into the community I now know just how many people judge a book by its cover especially with Ball.
I play mercy for comp and a while ago my entire team was shit talking me for pocketing the echo, talking about how I don’t have any revives on them and getting mad for not staying on tank, you just can’t get a break at any rank it seems
i hate people like that literally makes my blood boil so fucking toxic and for what bro like there is excuse for that behaviour and that apology doesn’t fix anything
Hog is broken still but doom got a slight nerf i think. I still have fun anyway just get better at ball and you can still play fine against those heroes even though youre at a disadvantage. Hog is broken for other reasons that are irrelevant to ball imo and he is supposed to counter him to some degree so just hold out until late january for the hog nerfs i guess.
I hate how people act like this somthimes. I remember i was playing a lucio game and thinking im doing pretty good i got really good heals a little less then my other support but everything else is fine. We end up on the loosing end and the other support is telling me to swap and trashtalking me for no apparent reason other then i have less heals then him. Then the others on the team pile up on me like the hell i do to all of you and why all of the sudden.

look, i get therse types of videos are cool and show that you shouldnt tell someone to swap their characters but its backfired on the community. i go into comp games and have people who main hanzo genji and exclusively play those characters against the worst match ups and when were begging for a dps change, they always say the same shit "just watch" and then my elo drops because im dealing with people that think they need to prove to everyone they are the best.
I play Ball too i swear ppl are so used to they tank baby sitting for Them when u Ball and not a char with shield ppl freak out and blame tank for them dying the best games i have as Ball is when my team Can stay alive for more then 1 fight and not runining straight at 5 ppl and did instant for cry about no tank or Heals same goes for healers and why is it allways tank swap never healers or dps switch to something to stay alive for longer
And btw if Ball dosent work for me in Match i switch but its my choice to chose it goes bad or not some1 who only see a Ball and freak out

I play mercy for comp and a while ago my entire team was shit talking me for pocketing the echo, talking about how I don’t have any revives on them and getting mad for not staying on tank, you just can’t get a break at any rank it seems

Hog is broken still but doom got a slight nerf i think. I still have fun anyway just get better at ball and you can still play fine against those heroes even though youre at a disadvantage. Hog is broken for other reasons that are irrelevant to ball imo and he is supposed to counter him to some degree so just hold out until late january for the hog nerfs i guess.

I hate how people act like this somthimes. I remember i was playing a lucio game and thinking im doing pretty good i got really good heals a little less then my other support but everything else is fine. We end up on the loosing end and the other support is telling me to swap and trashtalking me for no apparent reason other then i have less heals then him. Then the others on the team pile up on me like the hell i do to all of you and why all of the sudden.
I care what other people say about me. its been said so many times how bad a person is in a game. id want them to know im number one in words and actions. They get the front row seats to a solid carry while im telling them im carrying. They can eat their words
