hey chazm just wanted to say thank you, i’ve been playing ball since his release because i thought he was so fun and quickly realized his skill ceiling so decided to one trick him about 2 months after he released. throughout all that time, nobody has taught me more ball tricks than you have
my god this guy plays ball like he's that sphere robot boss from atomic heart. can you imagine how scary hammond would be IRL? this thing is rolling around at like 60 miles an hour, slamming into everything and swinging all over, crushing your friends. then two giant anti aircraft guns pop out of it and it tears you to shreds!
Chazm I never really played ball in ow1 just one time and the reason why I did that was I saw a UA-camr who went by the name "Ball" hit some insane clips with him so I wanted to do the same. After not playing the game for a few years I decided to play ow2 I was the casual rein main until I saw one of your videos again but by the name ball. After that, I started one tricking ball and now he is all I can play but now I finally feel like I'm having fun playing the game and I just wanted to express how thankful I'm to you since you were the one who first inspired me to play ball and lead me to have fun playing the game as I used to a few years ago.
I bet this guy's team hated him for most of the match. They were getting slaughtered while their tank ran around seemingly doing nothing. This is why we need 6v6 back.
don’t hard engage as often. Try just rolling through quickly and shooting from high grounds making them turn around etc. if you’re going to get hacked try to make sure it is not in the middle of the entire enemy team. Sombra is a fairly shit hero so if they are counter picking for you, their overall dps should be a bit lower unless you are hard feeding. Just try to make space by distracting still and booping squishies into your team when you can etc
exactly what S S just said - also remember if theyre counterpicking they will likely already be frustrated. i make a specific effort to find the translocator location as i'm scouting to bully the sombra even more
On first point you were just rolling around and being a nuisance with god mechanics, which actually works somehow, but that's not something I can reproduce in my games easily or anytime soon lol
I don't know, maybe I don't play enough hours, but despite this, I have more than 1000 hours in Overwatch and Overwatch 2 in total. I can't understand the essence of playing for Hamster. like yes, he's annoying, he has a lot of health, he lives a very long time, but despite that, he doesn't have that many kills, really. at my rank (gold for the first time), hamsters play badly, but in all my gaming experience I have probably met two or three really strong hamsters. I can see he's playing cool, but in the first round you let them practically drag the payload to the second checkpoint, that's a lot, I mean. Explain to me the pros and cons of Hamster.
Ball gets easy kills/disruption on out of position players who are separated from their teams. You can also be a heavy nuisance to backline supports who are busy protecting each other/using abilities or trying to escape (or just dying). All this time their DPS and Tank have no supports focusing on them. It also means your supports can focus more on your DPS players as Ball generally survives off of adaptive shield, health packs and returning to the team in quiet moments. The reason he couldn't do anything on first point is because the team got wiped and couldn't fight on their own while he was setting up. The useless movement wasn't totally useless though as keeping the players focused on him while they push feeds them ult but it also stops them being able to fully setup on bridge straight away and get first point/bridge uncontested. Downside to Ball is the team have to deal with a tank without their own tank which can be tough, especially if the Ball isn't getting constant value. Some heroes Ball can't kill on his own, or has a really tough time against and you need someone else to finish up the final blow after you've got good damage on them and forced all their cooldowns. Realistically, the team should play more conservative on defence to give the ball time to start the disruptions. Too often players will be poking out or overextending and just take a bunch of burst damage or die to a dive comp because they're not close enough together. It's okay to lose 20m on the first point if everyone is staying alive and has retreat points, cover, health packs etc etc. All they had to do was hang back round first corner and Ball would have had some of the enemies literally facing backwards. On Ball I'm usually just praying my team stay alive and follow up my damage on the more tricky heroes who I've got weak and all cooldowns used up.
@@WhiteBandicoot Actually, you explained everything correctly. in regards to losing a checkpoint it's actually weighty, it's extra time, extra time is a higher chance of losing. again, a good Hamster comes across really rarely, as a rule, enemies do not pay attention to him. He can, of course, kill supports, but this is very rare. As a rule, he just rolls around the map, from time to time enters the battle, but does not even shoot, just rolls between enemies, this is a distraction, but not a significant one. Hamster has low damage, in order for him to effectively use his special skills, he needs to feel the character. During this time, I have already reached Platinum 2 and almost every time there is a Hamster in the team, the role of the tank is taken by the Reaper, or by accident Brigitte, or another character who is focused by the supports. For example, I prefer Orisa or Reinhard, or Sigma. They are mostly suitable on all maps and modes, of course, this does not negate the fact that they can play badly. In my opinion, the main problem is the inexperienced player. You yourself perfectly understand how it is. For example, when Ramatra came out, people kept switching to his alternate form and didn't see the advantages of his main form, which is quite effective. When I wrote my first comment, I roughly rated Hamster at 4-5 points, this is a collective rating. to be precise then: 1) help to the team (in all its manifestations) 4 points. 2) damage 3 points. 4) the role of the tank, in the primary idea 7. Having played a little at a higher rank, I rate it at 6-8. What is your opinion?

How did no one on either team think to switch to Sombra to counter the Hammonds? It would've been an easy way to kill either of them.
