I agree with Tommy regarding Flavio. Yes he orchestrated a crash to get the Fernando the victory. But people have often crossed that line in F1. Even greats such as Senna and Schumacher have deliberately crashed into their rivals to win championships
It's one thing the driver doing it (absolutely wrong though it is. Deliberately crashing into anyone has no excuse. Says this Damon fangirl... Yes, I am that old), it's another thing when your team bosses order you to potentially hurt yourself so they can cheat. It's disgusting.
@@y_fam_goeglydcan be worse. Ferrari got away with their cheat engine. That was definitely damaging to all the races where it was used.
@@verg8460 yes, totally worse the engine that was .2 seconds per lap faster and won 2 races on power circuits than a race that was cheated that ended up deciding the championship retroactively
@@verg8460 The cheat engine didn't make them win championships though... If you're comparing 2019 ferrari to 2020 ferrari it's because the FIA notified them extremely late and they couldn't build a serious engine on time

Charles was trying for multiple times to win at his home race and once he did it, everyone in the paddock celebrated with him like in lando's first in miami.

10:45 From what I understand and making a couple of educated guesses, I think that RB/Newey definitely saw what Merc was doing and created a hybrid of the two.
The vertical inlet shrinks the "boundary layer" of air over the car. Merc's original "zero pod" philosophy used this to effectively create more of a floor area for that air to work on.
On the RB, this allows more air to get in under the sidepod undercut, basically turning the entire sidepod area into an inverted wing and creating a "double floor" effect with sidepod and floor both working to create down force as well as allowing a greater volume of air to move straight through the diffuser. I think then the "cannons" out the back, similar to last years Merc, allows them to distribute the airflow in such a way, by slightly altering body work, covering/blocking various intakes etc, as to let them adjust the center of pressure vertically in order to dial the car into various circuits and work with their suspension so as to create the "double DRS" effect that stalls out the beam wing and rear underfloor to gain extra top speed when DRS is opened

Kinda crazy that Red Bull has been working on this car for almost a year and they’re having problems with it. Their last major upgrade to RB19 was Hungary ‘23 and then they shifted resources to the ‘24 car.

On the dutch F1 tv show they sayed that the Perez new contract was a combination of the amount of Mexican sponsorship money Perez is bringin in.
And the fact that Max wanted Perez to stay as second driver because he and his father Jos felt that all commotion around the team with Cristian Horner and people like Newey leaving the team the last few months needed to stop.
What are your thoughts about this guys???

FP-1 had 9 drivers within 1 second of P1. FP-2 had 16 drivers within 1 second of P1. Qualifying should be eye-watering fun!
Got the new Mclaren lego kit for father's day. Applying the stickers was tense.
The trick to stickers is to cut them out to the shape of the sticker. Right where the color ends and white begins. The color section fits the Lego piece perfectly. Then fold back a small portion of the sticker and line up the sticker to the brick. Stick the exposed part of the sticker and peel the backing. It should be perfectly centered with the brick.

Check the long run sim data. It wont be close barring a dnf. 0.3 seconds on the next car with a very conservative enhine mode. 0.5 most likely in race trim.

I am not sure how it can still be a suprise that the Mercs are high up in practice. They have been running their engines in higher modes since years and drop back 1-2 places in the team order in 95% of the races.

When Flavio was under a life Ban we could see a line drawn. There was in fact a bottom to how low you could go and stay in F1. That is all out the window now. He should not be allowed in good company.

I wasn't really watching F1 back then just following the news but wasn't there a point in the late 10's where Merc were often doing bad in free practice and then rocked back to P1 in quali and everyone was very normal about it?
You don't get it. Back then it wasn't a Brit at the top of the tables on FP2. Now that a non-brit is winning most races, anytime a Brit is at the top of FPx they'll shout it from the rooftops.
