Next time you are in a place like that try it, it is a very odd sensation. one second there is an echo and the next nothing, but a very slight delay in the sound coming back, it is a very odd feeling!

It felt like someone cupping their hands and boxing your ears. You could feel the force of the echo coming down on your head!
