One of my all time FAV songs! I love how he always gives this song a slightly different twist. This song reaches down into my soul, and pulls out many happy memories. I can't believe it's been 35 years since I first heard it! He never ceases to amaze me with his music.
This is still one of the greatest live songs in rock. First time I heard this was on Valentine's Day at St. Ignatius HS in 1975. It Blew me away then and stll blows me away today.
A masterpiece, beyond words. I went to Basic Training in 1983. The father of a kid in my platoon owned the Cleveland Agora at the time. He invited me to visit after we got out, and I never did. I don't remember his name, but I'll never forget him. I probably missed some great shows there. I was into metal bands and hard rock like Sabbath and Zeppelin. Man I wish I had a clearer focus on local rock/folk at the time. Rock on MSB.
I lived in Brookpark in 1975, I miss all my old freinds...Tom from across the street and Billy Best...I miss you fuckin guys. Jackie? You still alive? C.R.
@@stevenskeens7263 from what I heard on the radio hear In Cleveland. He never went to La or anywhere big to record because he wanted to stay in the studios in his hometown because he loved it. Probably would be more known if he went to a big name studio with a record deal. But he didn’t wanna be a sell out
Now this is music! The sax is so full of heart and passion........thank you!

backstage pass: this song is one of the best live songs, the sax man just kills it!!!
I love this song.....
I've always loved the sax. The first song I remember hearing a great sax solo was Lover but when I heard this one, it's truely amazing.
Killer Sax Solo!!!!
Michael Sanborn, sax solo, on the original LP "Friend's+ Lover's"
I think I caught them at the Agora in Youngstown in the '70s. Really cool bartender there named "Butchey." He hooked us up with some tough chicks.
RIP
Great song, but without Bob Pelander's accompaniment its just not as remarkable, my opinion only. Thanks for uploading this though enjoyed it. : )
Went to this show and Bob was there. Talked to him after. Not sure why he's not in the tune.
I'm in STL now. What venue?

It's a shame, he was so close to being a national superstar......Bad promoter ??......Who knows ???
The only hit MSB had was sung by Kevin Raleigh. Michael's voice was not made for radio.
