Golden video but something I wish that you had touched on is how Cyborg saw the parallel between Star's mistreatment by other aliens and his own mistreatment by other humans. When he says ‘Of course I do: I'm part robot,’ my heart melts for the meaning behind those words, and even though it went way over my head as a kid, I was shook to my bones on rewatch. TT has a few examples of it and Yh I did skip over that element to it cuz it does add some more layers to Cyborg’s character specifically. I’m glad you mentioned it tho bc historically I’ve always been disappointed at that scene bc I always want him to say “I’m Black” but I just realized that’s just my projection, the Cyborg aspect is much more in character and still is great, so thank you actually💯
Years ago there was no racism in DC and that makes me proud This is what makes DC on top and having Jon Stewart as one of my favorite characters I'm glad we'll see him on screen after all those years again
my favorite line from the first arc of YJ season 4 is from the scar faced minion of Darkseid had pointed out the irony of how nothing is different biologically about the white & greens yet there is still racism on Mars and I also love how the former dead king of Mars was lowkey racist too despite preaching that he wasn't.
Fax that part is very telling of like the awareness of how characters out of the situation can better read & acknowledge stuff than the ppl that are actually in it (The Martians)
