Wow, this is a fantastic in-depth technical look at the quality, craftsmanship, and attention to detail that the engineers have applied on this product. I really appreciate the detailed walkthrough. It really speaks to the level of quality and refinement to bring this product to market. I am very excited. Thanks again for taking the time to create such wonderful content for consumers like me.
The only thing that disappoints me is that they use plywood on inside walls and the roof.. wish they would do no wood and full azdel as well. Especially for the price! Cmon winnebego!
Yup agreed. You want dealers listing a 16ft trailer for 40k. Get rid of the plywood, and change to Duel pane windows. Plywood roof, and cheap windows its a 25k 16ft box with an almost solid effort. I like the switch to Truma, I like the composite floor, I like the wall build. But then they go full Indiana made dumb and go with the roofing that you find in a $18,000 Wolfpup. 🤦♂️
Yeah I was almost sold until I saw the 3/8 in OSB( not even plywood!) of all places on the roof?😢 notice that the guys totally skipped right over that!
So this wouldn't really fit a ATV and there isn't a drop down ramp to cart it inside. This was mainly for kayaks or anything of that matter to tie down and store!
I was very interested in this trailer because any trailer I’ve ever seen all have water leaks and damage to the interior especially if there’s any wood well it was all going good from the bottom to the walls and then we got to the roof they put wood in it lost interest ASAP on this camper! I mean what the heck it 2022 people make it with no WOOD! Because water WILL find its way in and right after the warranty is up to! 😡
Este Mini Rv. esta fenomenal pero lo que encontré que no está muy fenomenal es el precio, dígame si es correcto el precio de 46,135 o estoy equivocado, gracias
To be blunt, sweet tires, but they are on a TRAILER. Tread is for traction, that is not a drive wheel. That beefy tire is without function save appearances, it just adds resistance and weight. Love ❤️ it anyway, looks excellent!
100% disagree on the tire comment above 👆 If you have the 2 same campers on a slippery slope or following tracks one with good tread and one without which one ☝️ do you think is most likely to stay on the road or following the tow vehicle? It doesn’t matter if they are drive tires come on meow 😂
@@ChopperChad - I think you’re confusing grip with traction. As @ZR CARR said above, they might help sideways or downhill on a slippery slope. But for the most part, ‘traction’ is irrelevant on a ‘trailering’ wheel, and there is zero power going to it. Think of it this way… You are in a front wheel drive vehicle going down a snowy/muddy/icy road with limited traction. If you get one of your front right wheels on slippery ground (open diff), you’re stuck. Those beefy tires on the rear are just added weight to pull through the muck. The same is true for trailer wheels, just added weight “for the most part” for your tow vehicle to move, pull through whatever sludge you are trying to cross. While sideways slippage might be marginally reduced, in most cases heavy tread on a trailering wheel is pointless. Sorry, we may have to agree to disagree on this. Now if they ever come out with electric motors on trailer to assist with the boost on demand when needed… SIGN ME UP! That would help! Otherwise tread is just weight, the mud/snow/whatever that gets in between the tread also just adds weight your tow vehicle has to move. When you get stuck, the first thing you do is unhitch to remove the dead weight and come back for your trailer.
Can you actually buy one now? Or are they still just hyping it? It sounds like the latter. I wanted to buy one so bad in 2021 and then waited and waited and waited some more, until I gave up and went another direction. Maybe 2023 is the year to see one pass in the other direction on the highway. Maybe. Maybe not.

Should have gone with a fully independent suspension, but then again, this trailer is not really going on anything more than well maintained dirt roads with that construction. Won't last on anything worse than that. Too bad there's so much wood.
@@ChopperChad Grant discusses it at the 16:25 mark. If you would like more in depth info on the cassette toilet - Bill can walk it through with you all! :)
Hike100 is a swing and miss. Can’t wait to find someone to buy mine to get out from under it. No instructions for any of it, and I had no kidding at least half a dozen things break within the first trip. Not sure why it’s advertised as having off-road suspension when the interior can’t even hold up to a smooth gravel road free of potholes without everything falling apart. The bathroom is basically unusable (I'm only 5'10 for reference). We only use it as an absolute emergency, otherwise it's outside like tent camping. The fridge isn't propane so you need a generator 24/7 or are forced to use an ice chest. The "Electric cooler" it comes with isn't battery powered so again you need a generator or running vehicle making it nearly pointless. The ridiculous batwing awning? If I wanted to spend an hour setting up a tent I wouldn't have bought a trailer. The Hike 100 is basically an overweighted towable covered bed with a water pump and heater that dropped my gas mileage to 6MPG. Best part? No dealer near me will even honor the "warranty" for everything that immediately broke since I didn't purchase it here. Winnebago should be ashamed of this one.

Thank you for your kind words and for tuning in!!
Haha totally and quickly skipped right over the OSB IN THE ROOF of all places!
Single mom looking to hit the road with my 8 year old son. This looks perfect! Completely new to RV world.
Are the side boxes on top of the wheel s waterproof i dont see any foam or rubber seal
Awesome trailer! That would be great for Michigan, or out west!
For sure!!
Thanks for the great view of the bathroom...racks.

I agree this checks all the boxes, from a company that knows camping. Great video thxs. 😊
Thank you for tuning in!!
Is the cabinetry particle board?
If you take proper care of your seals - High Quality Luan is Fine for your walls ! Love new suspensions - Really Great for those Off Roaders !! 🤗
I was HIGHLY interested but the wood roof is a hard no. Inexplicable decision, WB.
Really nice design here.
Does it have a solar inverter??
Excellent job, very thorough and informative.
Grant looks happy to be there
Added air suspension would be plus for driving on non paved roads😊
Thanks for watching and for your feedback!
I would like to know if you can put a full size ATV in the 1316SB?
So this wouldn't really fit a ATV and there isn't a drop down ramp to cart it inside. This was mainly for kayaks or anything of that matter to tie down and store!
They are getting close to a design I would buy but the frame and other aspects of the build need to be aluminum.
150 pound load limit on rear bumper and it will handle the bumps ok with that 150 pounds?
so far so good,...If we hear of anything else on this we will let you know..But Im sure Winnebago has done their research as well..

So the only power is 190 watt solar?
You can add another carry on solar..Or be plugged in, and carry a generator...It also has a RV battery that will come with it too...
Trailer has high clearance, but most of our tow vehicles only have 8-10 inches. I do like this though.

Very impressed until I saw the 3/8 inch wood decking and TPO roof. TPO and wood is a recipe for rot.
The price please and thank you

Dude no. This is wrong. These tires will provide some traction off road.

would not be putting my cooking gear in the fender box with no seals. great concept though.
With that laminated floor you will get soft spots. Star foam will not hold up to the weight!
This trailer is so far behind in what is available in Australia. Check out Vision caravans in Brisbane just one of many off-grid brands.
Lose the wood 🤷♂️
I don't see a cassette toilet as a "feature."
16:25 mark!
Well, I think it is a feature.
So you need to dump the gray water AND separately the cassette instead of popping the black and then the gray. Me surmises you don’t camp much.

We can fill a 30 gallon black tank in about 10 days so this 5 gallon is only good for boondocking weekends :(

so solar panel mount by screws and metal corners lol real offroad lol
No thank you very much
The gvw must be close to10,000 lbs
Way to expensive for the average customer. Especially with so many alternatives like scamp and casita
