This cover gave me chills and brought the biggest smile to my face… I listened and watched after watching a live recording of Dio and vivian from 1983… Dio was full of passion and joy for his music and his fans, and I can feel him looking down on this cover with pride and love. Great work!! (Also, how fucking sick was that alternate but completely fitting solo???)
It takes Erik for people to remember that some awesome metal was created in the 80s but 40 years later he makes it so polished and fresh that it's even better with today's technology and, dare I say it, a voice Dio would approve of.

Just fell into the Dio rabbit hole and stumbled across this AWESOME cover! Very impressive! I saw Ronnie play a small bar in Germany back in 1999. It was one of the best shows I've seen and there were less 100 people there. A very intimate setting and great show!

Holy shit bro! I've been a mega fan of yours and H.E.A.T. since day one and I dream of having a voice like yours. Now DIO is one of my all time favs and has been since i was a child-I'm 39 now. I'm always very critical of covers of his and Bryan Adams-my other all time fav since I was 4 and I totally enjoyed this cover-probably one of the best ever of DIO (other one would have to be Jorn's cover of Stand Up and Shout). You were able to pay complete homage to Dio while also being yourself and that gave us a perfect blend of both instead of someone just trying to sound like someone else. Great job-hope it is on Spotify soon so I can jam it on the way to work!
