Highlander Paladin is really powerful right now. Its an amazing mid range deck that counters all the scam/aggro decks rn. Super favored vs handbuff decks, aggro druid and warlock. Last patch, the counters were slow decks like highlander priest and warrior, but they aren't popular anymore since the nerfs made those decks slow in current meta. I went 14-1 and climbed to legend with a lot of ease. I’m hard stuck between D5 and Legend. It’s frustrating because I’m matchmaking into hard counters especially after switching decks not to mention the majority of my opponents with unfavorable decks always have god hands / draws to get out of the worst situations swinging the match in a single turn.

The meta is really highrolly right now. Certain cards feel like the match is over from the opening hand. Be aggressive with your mulligans and go for those highrolls over anything else tbh. Pick busted decks or decks with good win% vs your matchups. At least that's what I been doing and I'm between 500-3k every month.
Try using something like Reno Hunter or the Dragon Marin druid from Thisjl I jumped to legend playing oddyn control and egg hunter (the one that summons Mukla and secret 9)
I managed to reach legend from that d5 ladder using pain warlock but that was before the celestial nerf, I'd recommend pain though
I never play Paladin so I get to places where I feel very unsure of myself I think quitting early is what is stopping me. If I play a 30 minute game and lose it, I get really broken apart the rest of the day and saps all my will to play.

Not gonna lie Reno warrior got me to legend for the first time last month (and ive been playing for yearssss) Now i'm losing in bronze. Thank you for being here to help me climb again. Not to mention I get my butt handed to me by identity theft priest

Just pick the free DK deck (after 6 days I think) and wait until next expansion. Druid will be nerfed 100%.
Take the rogue deck and wait until peril in paradise

I made legend w/ Reno warrior pre nerf. Need a bouncer and an extra in ETC. Bounce either Dr Boom to get 4 unKilli-ax each time or Boomboss to put in 12 bombs. 18 booms kills any deck if you can bounce it twice
i play alot less hearthstone than i used too, dont even chase legendary anymore, i think i hadnt been to legendary since before 2020 lol.
but this month i made it to legendary with mystery egg hunter, for what thats worth rofl.

if youre facing alot of aggro decks, replace greedy partner and celestial projectionist with bunch of banana's and arrowsmith, can also swap tracking for nerubian egg. 3 card slots i play around with. mess maker is great vs paladin and alot of early board classes

I got legend with sludge warlock. Druids were tough though and popular at rank 1.
Last night I watch rank 1 DeadDraw vs ranks 2 Gabby, they play like 5-6 time on ladder against each other. They both playing Mining Rogue. Every game was decided who got better random cards from Scorpion

Seeing Tuskarr Trawler in Reno Priest is pretty funny, I used to run that card a bit but it was clearly filler. I guess it's a bit of 'light tech' to help you counter bad matchups, but yeah, could probably be something better.
I agree about Pirates, I think in Wild it will be comparatively moderate, but making them relevant in Standard again doesn't sound fun, most people hate it every time it happens, I know Hobbs in particular actually seethes at it (very rare for him) so hard that he gets mad if something like a Priest Pirate shows up that's impossible for the warrior/rogue decks to even use.
What are your thoughts about Reno Druid with Sky Mother?

I just got to Legend with Token Hunter, Full Board Hunter, whatever you wanna call it.
I did really good with zirimi from d5 to legend 1 L. Even with celestial projectionist nerfed i think it will still work you dont get the real valus out of it until later on in the game anyways or your opponent is already on the verge of death.
I went from bronze to diamond in 3 days playing a mix of combo Druid Highlander warrior and hand buff paladin. In platinum I mainly fought death knights and paladins, started losing more so I switched to even lock and it crushes hand paladin and dk got me from plat 5 to diamond 10 no losses
And for the record I love control style the most but Reno warrior was just getting crushed so I had to play the more aggro decks, not as fun to me but neither is getting crushed almost every match
Here I am wondering how I hit Legend with odd warrior and thief rogue when they're apparently tier 4 decks.

I really want to play druid, but I don't have all of the cards needed and don't want to craft this close to expansion.
I'm annoyed that the latest patch managed to somehow completely break solo adventures... Playing Dalaran Heist since the patch I've noticed several bugs with it:
1) No matter which deck option you pick, you always get the default one.
2) Bosses can't shuffle their decks. Anytime something is shuffled into a bosses deck, it's just placed on top (Noted it with Akazamzarak shuffling his Scrolls and also one of the bosses discovered a Floppy Hydra which I killed and it just went to the top of their deck every time)
3) Some bosses decklists are wrong. Some of their cards have been replaced by additional copies of cards (I've played enough dungeon runs to know their decklists and several bosses played 2 copies of cards they should only have 1 copy of in their deck)
4) Card ownership is broken af. Enemy minions count as friendly minions (I had a boss summon a random Wickerclaw which kept getting buffed when MY hero gained attack), enemy spells are your spells (When a boss casts Explorer's Hat, it goes into your hand when the minion dies)
I honestly have no clue how their spaghetti code managed to mess this up, but it makes the mode much less fun to play and I normally like to do the occasional Dalaran Heist run to chill out...

It hasn’t been prevalent for years at this point. Aggro, midrange, and combo are kings. They’ve openly said they don’t want control to be good.
True it’s either Warlock, Paladin or Druid and they’re not even very exciting decks.

It's an awkward spot because IF control is more prevalent, it just means Reno Warrior as the only deck you face because so long as Brann and Boomboss exist Reno Warrior >>>>>>>>>>> Every other control deck.

Shaman definitely seems like one of those classes that just gets abandoned for a while, and then suddenly a pile of broken varied stuff for 1 expansion (some of which never sees play because it doesn't actually FIT into anything), repeat.
@@KnownAsKenji As a shaman main, i oficially have given up after trying for so much time to get HL to work. The class is only the boring ass nature stuff or nothing, i cant care anymore.
Yeah, nature shaman is pretty decent right now. Just hit legend going 10W-2L.

That said I've done very well with elemental shaman this xpac and there's been some neutral card reveals that look exciting for that archetype.

It's always worth it to Dust unless you are playing the card at this very moment. Because if you want it later you'll be spending the same amount of Dust to get it back anyway. If you don't see yourself using it in the next Expansion then just go for it.
I've been playing the tempo druid recently and even if it's not as fun as the hybrid deck was for me it's definitely very strong. Doomkin if you can play it early is just disgusting in many matchups, not too convinced about Dorian though
Reno can still be used run the 2/3 that gives you a gold and hopefully you go second, BOOM Reno on 8! Honeslty guys I think im goning to take my 3200 dust and pocket 1600 by making a normal copy.

I personally just enjoy my mining rogue that happens to be either the best or the worst deck, if you get lucky you just shit on whatever the meta is, if you don't get lucky, well it s like any other deck and the meta slaves shit on you.

I manage to climb up to diamond 5 each season with homebrew decks that i make on my own. I'd like to to climb to legend but meta decks seem dull. Anyone else here who climbs with their own decks? It seems to me that once you get to d5 you need netdecking, lots of time and luck on your side and it's frustrating cuz you're so close.
I got in legend with my homebrew decks multiple times, and I even vot in top10% eith my own deck 1 time.
If you really want to reach legend maybe try a broken netdeck and tune it to your liking. It might take the opponent by surprise when they think they know the deck you're playing but it turns out they don't. 🎉
@@JimVguard I mean the whole tier 2 in wild is Reno decks so you can put all tech cards ever existed like murloc eating crab, pirate eating crab, crab eating crab, crab eating pirate and etc and still reach top 100 just playing Zeph turn 2-5 Reno turn 6 to heal and Reno hero card turn 9-10. You can even play elf archer!

I think Sonya would be a 6 mana 1/1 next expansion, shadowstep and prep would cost 2 mana to not cheat anything at all. All cards can't be reduced less than 2 mana (like this dragon 3 mana 2/4 effect. All rogue pirates would get -1 attack and rogue giant would cost 0/5 mana less for each spell. Twisted pack would cost 3 and would give 3 temporal cards. That way rogue would still be with 50% winrate and not 90% winrate.
