  • It is such a blessing being back in the Kruger! What a beautiful day we had in the Lower Sabie area. Fantastic birding and exceptional sightings. Yes being in the south of the park traffic jams and rule breaking is one of those things you have to grin and bare. But being in the bush - north or south, is still such a blessing.

Good birding on our morning walk …….. Red-Throated Wryneck (calling incessantly) in the Pepper tree behind our house and then further up the park, Amethyst sunbirds and Bearded Woodpecker calling not pecking (making a lot of noise).

Love your videos! Good to see you back in Kruger. We finally got to go there (for our second time) all the way from France this May 2023. We had an amazing 11 day stay! 🤩Btw, speaking of otters, I saw one in the river next to the Skukuza restaurant! Looking forward to your next videos 😉

Hi S & R, just wanted to say I really enjoy your videos. I’ve been waiting in anticipation for the rest of your series... but of course there is juggling life and day jobs as I know. In the past year I have really gotten into birding and your videos with the birds and their names (and also the Birdle SA app) are really great for practice between trips. We are off to Kruger (Letaba & Shingwedzi) next week and have set our birding target at a reasonable 80. Fingers crossed. All the best and thanks for the videos. 😊

Thank you Kathryn for your comment! We really appreciate it. We are working as hard as we can getting the videos out - but as you say our day jobs just seem to be getting in the way 😋😉
Amazing! Once that birding bug bites there is no turning back 😉 Enjoy the Kruger! Letaba is one of my favourite camps!! The Scops Owls at night 😱 We 3 to 5 above our tent every evening! The Mphongolo loop around Shingwedzi is fantastic as well 🙌🏼 We saw our first Broadbilled Roller on that loop 🤩 Keep an eye out for the Yellow-billed Oxpeckers as well 😁 and enjoy it!! Rikus and I are so keen for a Northern Kruger trip again - It is so amazing up there!

Just catching up with the videos. Just got back from 30 days in South Africa, Greater Kruger, the Kruger, Hluhluwe-Imfolozi and Isanangaliso/St Lucia. Great sightings including black rhino and wild dog. I wish we had you with us for the birds! Have see African wild cat only twice, the Kruger.

(Going to say it in English). Good to see the videos! Missed your channel for a bit :( Just some advice, seen it a few times on your videos, never fill the mokka pot water above the pressure valve inside. If something happens that the water cannot move up through the coffee that mokka pot will go off like a bomb. It's really really dangerous. The pressure release valve must always be above the water level.

Hi Both, stunning content and the quality of your camera work is excellent. Thank you so much for sharing with us, it’s really kind of you. Please could you share the location of the Finfoot and Otter view point. We will be at LS in a couple of weeks and would like to include a stop here to try and spot them. Thanks

Hi Toby! Thank you so much for your kind words 🤩🙌🏼 We are still not perfect but try and better with every video 😋🙏🏼
We found the Otters and Finfoot at the Skukuza high bridge (H12) in June / July 2022. They were both at the first bit of water as you turn left onto the bridge (if you come from Skukuza). Some of our viewers have found them there after we did 🙌🏼 My folks were there in December and waited for hours with no luck. But hope you can find them 🙏🏼 It was an incredible sighting - you can go watch our video of that day if you want to see exactly where we saw them 😁 ua-cam.com/video/UsPu-03P-iY/v-deo.htmlsi=8AXCLa-u7hgpi9i1 (Kruger National Park - Day 9).
Hope you enjoy the Kruger 🙌🏼 Always a blessing to be in the bush!
