@@JjangbunbunNobody said ALL korean and international netizens agree but it's true MANY of us have decided to stop supporting Hyuna. You can do you, honey but accept many people can put their values above artists. It's not a crime feel dissapointed with an artist' actions.
@@Jjangbunbun don’t agree with what? Korean and International fans are always at each other’s throats and are always disagreeing. It’s a very very rare occurrence when they are on the same side about an issue.
The Korean justice system never fails to amaze with their ways to humiliate women to the next level... just the thought of what Goo Hara must have felt in that court room...
Well said, humiliate women, that's exactly that. She was at her lowest point and yet it got worse. Apparently the judge ended up watching the sex video alone and then interviewed her alone... no wonder why she killed herself 😔
I watched the crime podcast on this case. The judge first asked to see the vid in the courtroom, but Goo Hara's lawyer said this was unacceptable and humiliating for the client. The judge then was like "Okay, I'll see it in private then", he saw the vid in his private room, where he stayed for an hour or so with that vid. Disgusting judge.
idk how thats even legal there... honestly as a women i never wanna go there, and idk how women over there even live like that! theyre not even considered human!
I've been her fan since her earliest days after she broke out internationally. While I'll listen to her old music that I already own the albums for from the past, I will never even listen much less buy any music from her in the future. Or even buy the albums I don't already own from back then. I'm going to treat the future like she retired or died. I loved her sound for decades, but nostalgia isn't enough to stand by her current self.
I found her dissapointing. How come she talks about wanting to protect New Jeans on how questionable the industry is, yet, turn around dating a coward man who is involved in a biggest crime scene of the country. Something about the way she dated a man like him, it felt like she straight up stomping on her late best friend struggles. Very direspectful.
Why do people call them best friends, when there's no evidence of this. You skipped, "just friend", and went all the way to "best friend". As far as we know, they were acquaintances.
@@absolutelynotellen sure doesnt it doesnt change the fact that what hyuna is doing is wrong. But its also wrong to spread misinformation like this . If they were best friends what she is doing becomes far worser.
I feel for the guy. He sacrificed his career to be with her. He was ready for marriage and kids with her. Instead they break up and now she's ready to marry another guy, who turns out to be far worse than Dawn 😐As they say: "Nice guys finish last"☹
Dawn left on his own sure but she was the real influence behind him, he could've done so much more with his career cause he's talented yet he let all this go for her while she obviously had something else on her mind. I remember the video hyuna shared when she and dawn was leaving their former agency, Hyuna was smiling but dawn seemed sad. He knows now what he sacrificed for someone who doesn't even care.
I saw a comment stating: Hyuna actually liked the guy from the start (more like OBSESSED) for such a long time ago, she only dated dawn cause he looks him.. Now she broke up with dawn to get the “man of her dreams.” Also I wanna add: (again I only saw this and I don’t know if it’s true) -They were really close friends before and people actually shipped them together.. - They apparently dated before (secretly), clearly she’s not over him…. - Someone said that dawn was her public relationship but the guy and her was secretly dating too… For me, this is messed up. hyunA can do whatever she wants(for all I care) but the bad decisions aren’t it. I’ll continue supporting dawn but sadly I don’t think I’ll support her anymore. I hope she lives well though….
She destroyed Dawn’s rookie career for disclosing they were in a relationship while in Triple H. In their time at P nation, he was literally just called Hyuna’s boyfriend. She breaks up with him. Then nags her way into signing with the agency he signed with first. They initially didn’t want to sign with her. Then goes on a YT talkshow wearing a “Siri Block Ex Number” shirt. Then ends up engaged to a man who knows women are getting raped and taped illegally and did nothing about it.
The dead silence at the waterbomb and her cancelled tour are really a sign of her downfall. I wasn't a fan of her, but I enjoyed her personality, being open about her relationship and concept, but honestly I was disappointed. But the funniest thing is that Hyuna is getting the majority of hate, while after the burning sun scandal, many people almost forgot about her bf being involved, and remembered just now about that.
People forgot about him because after the scandal he basically disappeared. That and the fact that he lost many fans and basically wasnt that famous made people forgot about him. People are only aware of him again because Hyuna is famous and made his name recognizable again.
People forgot about the bf because he was staing low-key and living quietly, like all the involved in the case. But literally none of them will be able to do a comeback ever again.
Korean fans never forgot, the guy doesn’t have many fans and little international fans, so that’s why. Hyuna gets a huge backlash now because it’s a new situation for her and she has a huge fan base that she disappointed. The guy faced big backlash when the Burning Sun Scandal got revealed
Someone said that Hyuna had been in love (more like OBSESSED) with him since a long time ago. Dated Dawn bcs he looked like that guy, and now that she can have him, she broke up with Dawn and went for this disappointment.
@svt_kiofIT was reporter She dates this guy before Dawn, then they dates in an off while still with Dawn. I can also see the resamblance between him and Dawn, If You take out the blonde hair and contacts off Dawn, they basically have same features. Recently i saw him dyeing his hair blonde Golding hand with Hyuna , for a second i thought he was Dawn but no IT was this new guy of hers. She certanly used Dawn
@@bellatordei3440 he literally let his friends violate kids and women, and watched clips of women and kids getting SA'ed. Is that not enough to be called a disappointment? I mean, even the word disappointment is too light for someone like him.
The account of how hyuna and dawn got kicked out of cube was not because they were secretly dating. Everyone in cube knew they were dating. Cube openly allow their idol to date, as expressed by hyuna in earlier years in interviews that their management does not hinder them to date. What ultimately broke cube "trust" was hyuna gathered and announced to the public that they are dating. This announcement was behind cube management, it undermines cube management and kinda like a backstab to her fellow cube idols because of this decision. Pentagon was not in a good standing, the public was just getting started to like pentagon.
This is exactly it. People think Cube kicked them bc they didn’t approve the :dating (they probably didn’t but that’s beside the point) Cube kicked them because Hyuna and Dawn kinda screwed the company by doing whatever they wanted. Dawn kinda halted the popularity of Pentagon and Hyuna played a big part in that.
This incident always makes me think that hyuna is so selfish. I remembered in the interview she said she didn't want to lie to her fans So selfish of her! She didn't even think about dawn situations
All of her album sales are from Chinese fans whom bought 11,000 albums, but it didn't get past the double digits in Korea, or other countries, so we just need her Chinese fans to get on board.
@@nibby10 Get "on board" with what? Y'all sound like a malicious mob with these statements. She's a singer, so if people wanna listen to her, they can. if you don't want to, then just don't. I haven't liked any of her post Cube music so I'm not her audience, but it's very strange how y'all are acting like she needs to be punished for dating a man y'all don't like.
I think the biggest issue is for one the Goo Hara thing but also that she had that "Girls girl" image like you said, so although she is free to date/marry whoever she wants, I see why especially her female fans feel uncomfortable to support her now that she knowingly dates and now wants to marry someone that was involved in one of the biggest s*x and abuse scandals in Kpop history, he might not have been an active part and didn't record or assault anyone but he knew about it and he kept quiet and only started cooperating AFTER everyone got outed and that is the problem and she accepting that fact and now knowing Haras Involvement no matter how close they really were behind the scenes in the end, really makes a lot of her female fans especially doubt her character and values she actually stands for and thats why they stop supporting her. She wants to marry him that is her decision but she has to live with the consequences in the end meaning losing lots of fans over it because of him. I mean you could see the silence in a recent performance of hers where really the whole location did not cheer or sing at all and she literally looked uncomfortable when she was holding the mic to the audience because they were supposed to sing and it was total silence. But again that is something she chose for herself.
@@sliverhalo9286 oh that yeah for Hyuna that doesn't apply though, she and Dawn were a couple for ages and people supported them. In this issue the main case is the guy she chose and his past as someone that is involved in the Burning Sun Scandal that is the main reason she is losing most of her fans especially female ones.
What’s the most infuriating about hyuna is her attitude towards the situation. She’s blatantly ignoring the issue surrounding her bf and the gravity of the burning sun scandal.
I mean seungri is living a good life after the scandal and is opening businesses in asia. The burning sun thing isn’t really affecting the criminals except the victims
@@NewLifenpc At least acknowledge that he was a bystander for the sake of the victims. He helped the criminals continue their crimes, what is there not understand?
Even if she breaks up with him or anything, I'll never support her or like her like I used to cause knowing all the burning sun case and what goo Hara went through this all just fells so wrong .
I never got the impression that Hyuna was a feminist or even promoted female empowerment. She was consistently all about doing whatever SHE wants, which ppl can mistake for female empowerment until it involves throwing other women under the bus.
It was because of the things that she would talk about. She would constantly wear outfits and clothing that had feminist slogans or sayings on it not to mention she was always constantly talking out about young idols debuting and wanting them to have people looking out for them and doing better than she ever did especially with female idols. She talked about the fact that her song babe was about her experience in the industry and if you look at the lyrics it's very much so a female empowerment type of song a lot of her songs are. She never straight out said she was a feminist but again if you're not Asian and you have not grown up in an Asian household or country you don't understand how bad it is to be associated with being a feminist as a woman especially as a public figure. There are horror stories on a daily basis coming out of South Korea and even like China and Japan of women who are start harass and some of them have even been straight up murdered by men who do not like the idea of women being feminists because they link feminists and being a feminist with misandry and hating men. let's not pretend like we haven't had female idols having phone cases that saying girls can do it too or girls can do better or reading books that are feminists themed and having their life threatened by so called fans. Having videos and pictures of them burning albums and photocards and posters of these female idols because they had a fucking phone case that said girls can do it too or they were reading a goddamn book that many Korean women and men even some K-pop idols who are men who have read that book and they didn't receive that backlash but because they were women and this was a book considered to be feminists or was a slogan that's considered feminist their lives were basically at risk and threatened so much sugar that their companies had to come out and be like they were just reading it for like school or they were just got this cool phone case.
Definitely her downfall. She isn't going to end up with no fans at all or having to end her career, but she will definitely make less money and have a lot less fans which will automatically cause her to disappear from the scene from now on. People have turned a blind eye on her so many times because this isn't the first controversy involving her, but this time it's too big to do that. She isn't surviving that without a huge damage to her name and career. I feel so disappointed because I really liked Hyuna. This was definitely a shocker. In the end there will always be supporters who act like the burning sun scandal was nothing bad (and those people will keep on supporting Hyuna as well most probably). It's sad.
He admitted to making inappropriate comments about those videos in the group chat. He didn't just turn a blind eye, he enjoyed it, videos taken without consent, some of which were of unconscious women. He's a monster.
She's done a lot if controversial things and so I think she thinks this is just another one of her things that will blow over but I don't think thats going to be the case this time. She disappointed a lot of people. This is not "Oh, Hyuna is going against the grain and cultural norms again", this is serious. If she wants him then fine but she'll need to face the consequences and quit playing victim.
I don't think it's the end, but it's gonna be very hard to re-build the relationship and trust her fans had with her. I'm not even a stan of Hyuna but I liked her... now not so much.
I know that for me, it’s more disappointing that she is with jun-hyung. I do believe that she is in love with him and vice versa but also that the backlash is pushing them together because it has turned into a me against the world type love in their minds I suppose when we are all like, “he’s done some shady things that he hasn’t been willing to answer and that it affected a friend (goo hara, rip) and you don’t seem willing to even listen to fan’s concerns” Plus she mentioned how she seems to “always get caught” when she’s dating and that rubbed me the wrong way because she announced both of her relationships publicly before her companies had a say.
Listen, LISTEN she could've waited for Dawn to get his fame, Pentagon was just getting their fame, they were on their peak but she decided to reveal her relationship status to the entire world, suddenly she was the 'rebel' decided to ditch Dawn's career. She ruined many lives tbh. She could dated secretly, in peace but nah!
You know what scared me the most about what Goo Hara had to go through? The men scared me. But more than that, the female audience to the scandal scared me. I play online videogames like valorant, and when someone says something mean or bad to me, it definitely puts a dent on my mood till that game is over. Now, take this ideology and replace the 9 other players with a thousand people, a 1000 people coming together to talk BS about you and accusing you of things you would never do. It's mentally exhausting, okay? It kills you. When I heard about the types of comments people leave in Hara's posts, calling her a s*x addict and a slvt, for just breathing, I felt like throwing up. I have major respect for all female idols who have to bear with haters on social media, it's just horrible. In case anyone wants to understand the gravity of burning sun and how goo hara is one of the five women to uncover the scandal, you should check out Stephanie Soo's rotten mangoes podcast ep about it. I listened to the latest two episodes last night, and i swear to god I couldn't listen to the episode without having to pause it every ten minutes and just think about just how evil people can be. It's just pure evil. I'm saying this with my whole heart. Every single person who bullied and mentally tortured Sulli and Hara, I hope you never get peace in life. Everyone - netizens, the public, the vile judge, people who trusted in her ex's words in a heartbeat, all of you. I pray that you lose the ability to sleep, thinking about how your mere words were the cause of someone's death. I hope that the realization that your choice of actions KILLED someone eats you up. None of you deserve forgiveness. You don't.
Sorry if you think being ' good looking ' is all that someone is worth. Some of the most evil preditors are good looking and charming people. She could haved done better in choosing a man of worth but she decided to turn around and eat shite.
I hope it goes well for HyunA, I really do, I hope she doesn't fall victim to this and I think that's also where many people are coming from. However I suppose unlike HyunA I personally don't support the sentiment that such people can be fixed. As an example of that, in his latest statement he goes on and on about how much he lost, never once does he reflect on what the victim in the video he was sent lost, never once in that statement does he reiterate any sort of apology toward the victim for re-victimizing them by clicking on the video. None of his actions actually indicate he feels any guilt or remorse, not toward the public, not toward his fans, and especially not toward the victim. Instead he's still on the train of making excuses for himself and marinating in his own self pity. It's really quite disgusting when you think about the fact that he's had around 5 years to consider everything. He doesn't seem to have changed one bit.
Yeah I feel like hyuna is getting the worst reactions from fans at this point and I’m concerned for her well being. We don’t want her to off herself due to all the negativity she’s getting.
What horrible behavior? The way you weirdos act as if she murdered or assaulted someone tf. Her behavior is questionable at best but to call it horrible is a reach
i would like to visit sk but honestly the crimes against women and the lack of care, or better said, support from law enforcement and the hate and lack of care towards women just makes me never even wanna get close...
With all due respect to Hyuna,I have supported Hyuna and was a fan of her but as a person who listened to rotten mangos burning scandal podcast I can never support her again
Personally I think her career is over if you look at any videos now of her performing recently I'm pretty sure that a black ocean wouldn't even be able to express how dead the crowds get. At this point I think that she's going to invent an entirely New concept for fans basically absolutely just ignoring not paying attention and not caring about an idle performing on stage. Also I feel like I was giving her a little bit of the benefit of the doubt because you know she doesn't always make the best decisions. And people do that when they're in love but after I saw her doing an interview actually she did more than one where she talked about how as stated in the video she always gets caught dating when she's the one who is announces it but more importantly. When she talked about how he didn't want to date her at first because he thought she was being manipulative cuz he couldn't tell what her emotions were. And then she further proceeded to explain that he thought that she was always a bit manipulative and then she agreed a little bit and I was like oh yeah no. It actually made me go back and start looking at things that I kind of question but I always just brushed aside. Whether we're talking about how Dawn and her didn't even talk before she decided to go public with a relationship. Let alone the fact that even then she talked about how she was the one persistent to Dawn he was like I don't want to date right now you know I'm a trainee / rookie and she was like no I'm so in love with you we have to do this but then when I'm not one for marriage. Yet still drag that man along for several years. then it's like did they both sign to the same company the second Time around by accident or did she know he was signed to that company and she chose to sign to it too just in case because she likes to you know keep the people she might be able to get back with you know just with an arm's length arms reach in case she needs them again. That's not even talking about all the incidences that had happened during the relationship whether you're talking about him not wanting to take his shirt off and her just doing it for him while they're on stage and feeling insecure about certain things and her saying fuck it I want you to do this anyway as if he was nothing more than a human Barbie doll. 😅 Like I'm sorry but if a man who can show zero remorse for victims of his friends. Who was able to sit there and keep his mouth shut because as far as he was concerned it wasn't any of his business and even made a vile comments about it if he's saying that you're manipulative to the point where he's questioning if he should even date you. I think that says a lot and even with this relationship again as stated she was the first one to post it up on Instagram from what I saw because there were people who were sitting there who knew people who were fans of his for whatever reason and had paid for his bubble like service that he's a part of he literally told them oh you guys must be so surprised about the relationship news I didn't know this was going out either as in he was blindsided she didn't even tell this man that she was going on with her relationship because I bet you anything he didn't want her to do that either. He might be trash but he seems like he's a little bit smarter than that he knows better than to just start dating someone who's in the public eye. at least as publicly as she decided to go about it he was probably like let's keep this on the down low for a while. Let me get my reputation back up and then we can sit there and make this a public thing and she wouldn't nope. I want everyone to be in love with us being in love I also think that she assumed it would be a dawn situation once again where people because they were her fans would rally for her and her relationship but it wasn't that because not only about the BBC documentary but like Stephanie had been covering this for at least a year at this point with all the different parts of all the crazy shit that happened and it was something that was still consistently talked about in the K-pop community and hemisphere like I feel like every time you met someone who is a new fan of K-pop. They of course we discover the groups like big bang and sometimes seeing blue or FT Island etc depending on the type of music they listen to and then of course the fandoms had to explain why members left and once that happened it would open up the discussion and everyone would be talking about the criminal rink that was happening in K-pop that no one was aware of for years. No one was forgetting this no one was trying to forgive these men and the Korean general public basically have a witch Hunt out for them. So when you have people in your own country and international fans who see them as like nothing more than manure on the ground and even that's being harsh to the shit on the floor. Marrying one of them is not going to help you it's probably just going to ruin your reputation even more. In situations like this I'm always like imagine having to explain to your children especially if you have a daughter that their dad was completely fine and content with their friends drugging assaulting and recording and sharing videos like that. Like....
i still can't believe hyuna kept putting off getting married to dawn, the man whom she had been with for 6 years. then all of a sudden she gets quickly engaged and soon to be married to someone from the burning sun scandal, even though she kept procrastinating on that same exact thing with the man who she effectively got kicked out of his group and the peak of his fame. he sacrificed it all for her, but i guess in the end she dodged a bullet now that we know hyuna's true colors.
Never liked her as an artist or as a person. So its easy to move on from her drama. I feel for Dawn though... feels like she used him and threw him away. Yes, he's an adult too but I wonder if he never got involved with her whether he would have a more stable career.
Im the only one to think the fac hyuna go marry so fast is cuz she may is preg... The lacking of stamina, the extremely exhausted she looks, and even i think she gained a little weight (something i think is good cuz she always was extremely slim)
I've seen hyuna several times but I saw her performance in waterbomb this month and she did terribly. She was barely dancing. She looked high. She missed her queue to a dance break. She announced it was the last song 3 songs ahead or time. Her back dancers were working so hard in the first couple of songs but had to tune it way down to match her energy.
I'm very sad because I always loved Hyuna since 10 years now... I don't know if keep listening her music or not, I always try to separate the art from the artist but I'm heartbroken
Tbh i cheered for her wen she decided to be in relationship wd dawn and than dawn left his group pentagon to be wd her I still supported her wen she broke up may be she wasn’t happy but bro whattttt ? She is getting married wd a guy who was happy and giggling over girls getting r@ped this is horrible
Hard to say if it's over or not right now. Because the BBC released their video so recently, it could have affected the state of things right now. After several months, or a year or so, when the Burning Sun scandal is, once again, barely a thought in people's minds, we'll see if people are really over her or not. Right now, it could be recency (BBC video) bias.
Everytime i hear the details of burning shn and go hara i just cant help but get emotional i used to love hyuna but i dont anymore i dont even listen to her music idk ho many victimc are still suffering and the woman who had 2 miscarriages bcz of the dead threats bcz when she wrote article in 2016 no one believed her and she lost her ability to become mother and late go hara going against her best frnd ft island's choi to reveal the truth is just so painfull idk how hyuna is dating a man like him
The moment she posted picture of her now bf. I immediately unfollowed her. I hope her "dont care attitude" wont get her penniless. I dunno how long she can pretend with that personna now that both Korean and International have mutual thoughts about her.
I stopped idolizing celebrities because at the end of the day, they're just people with A LOT of money. Sure they're talented at what they do (mostly) and their stories can be inspirational. But money enables them to be who they truly are. And let's just say there are a lot more bad people than there are good people. That being said, it's her life and her career. Since I was never a fan of hers or had any expectation for her, all I can say is good luck and hopefully she don't regret it.
As much as I don’t like cube, please don’t leave out the fact that she destroyed pentagon as well. The dating rumor was in 2018 when pentagon finally had a chance to make it big as their song “shine” went viral. They had built spark among general public thanks to produce 101 s2 when “never” and “energetic” both became hits after hits. But instead of making a follow-up comeback for pentagon, cube made triple H release a song first instead. During the promotion of triple H, rumors spread around like a wildfire and was denied by cube. But she one sidedly came forward to confirm it AFTER cube put out a statement. Now hear me out, there’s nothing wrong with publicizing relationships esp to defend urself (the rumors were developing like crazy, she was said to be pregnant, etc) BUT it was done during a very crucial time, THE golden time, for pentagon. They had steadily been making noises but NOT solidifying their status in the industry just yet. They got all eyes on them, just need ONE more push, and their career would have been totally different right now. She, w 9 yrs career gap, should’ve understood the most on how this industry works. Pentagon at that time was still a mere rookie, who barely got their name known, who finally got to see the light that couldve led them to mainstream success. Image and reputation was EVERYTHING they had. But she still chose to selfishly tarnish the hope for the rest of the members as well. I remember she n dawn gave an interview telling reporters that they had asked pentagon members permission to go public which I doubt to this day was actually power abuse because hey, what could they say? At that point she was THE biggest cube artist and all the members of pentagon respected her so so much. She and dawn was kicked out for betraying the company which I dont necessarily agree with either. But i just want to point out how it couldve been different had she put more thoughts esp regarding the future, not only about dawn, but the other 9 members, into her decision. She killed pentagon momentum in the highest of their peak, as well as the friendship between dawn and the rest of the team. It hurt their reputation so much that remembering pentagon name becomes pitiful to this day. After that as always cube mistreated them by sending yanan to china, etc but thats another story for another day. Im not a universe but stream daisy and do or not everyone they deserve every love!!
It doesn't matter what 'image' she presents or what she says, action speaks to a persons true character. She's choosing to support and marry someone directly involved in burning sun, which means she gives no fucks to the crimes, the victims, Hara's death. I'd personally be disgusted by a man that receives and watches molka. I hope she and yjh find their happy ever after in their cancelled careers🙂
I´m not a fan of HyunA (but a fan of Dawn) so I just want to point out a few things. I always felt Dawn was more in love with HyunA than she was in love with him, she expressed even after they got engaged that she was not into marrying. Still, they were together for years and Dawn had a really hard time after the break-up which he expressed in interviews (google and you will find it). He also expressed that he really loved her soul (not her looks or social status) and so (as a fan of Dawn) I decide to believe that she is not a bad person, but maybe a bit lost. I also think that she, being in love with this guy J, feels that it is she (and him) against the world and that is why she is marrying him so soon. Unless ofc he was the reason Dawn and her broke up in the first place... (and they dated secretly for a year). As for J he was never tried in court for anything, and being a lawyer that makes a big difference to me. Yes, he kept quiet and that may be morally despicable (I agree with that) but if you look around you will find that a huge lot of people keep quiet about things they know is wrong, because of fear, cowardliness or just plainly not giving a shit. Because a lot of important people were involved in the BS Scandal it may well be any of these things in Js case. J may not be a hero of any kind but I can't see why he could not date anyone ever because of this. As for HyunAs career - I think it´s over. Not because she is without talent as a musician, but because the Korean netizens will not forgive or forget when someone doesn't follow their "orders". However if she was a really great artist she would survive, now her image will bring her down for sure.
I think similar to you. He was not in court and that makes a difference for me, people stay silent about this stuff for different reasons like you said. Yeah, maybe he is not an good person but he's not at the same level as the others, anyway I don't support him. But all the hate she's been getting, many of the comments I've been reading on her ig are horrible. I'm sure they are bonding over receiving all that hate and being canceled which I feel is why she now wants to get married this quickly. Ironically, it's ike the fans or antis are making their bond stronger kinda thing
I agree. While J was not prosecuted, he was only a bystander and it’s crazy how folks be hating on him because he didn’t report it. We’ve all been bystanders to a lot of situations so it’s hypocritical of folks to criticize these two. I’m worried for hyuna’s health though…..
Receiving the videos he did even though he may not have been directly involved and not reporting crimes he was a witness to is a criminal offense in a lot of other countries. I wouldn’t use SK’s notoriously lax prosecution standards towards these types of crimes as justification of what he did was criminal or not as the country has shown that even for the most heinous of the burning sun offenders they got slaps on the wrist. People are right to judge him harshly as he himself has stated on record he didn’t see the vids as a big deal (in response to not reporting them earlier) and his effort towards wanting to push his whole scandal aside vs. realizing the effects of what he did and was a bystander too. He hasn’t shown much indication he is remorseful so people are free to not support in return
@@LP-ct9nk The video he received wasn't illegal filmed so i don't think he could be prosecuted for a video of people groping or kissing it was illegally sent meaning the victim didn't want it to be shared but was okay with he filming. I mean who knows what other stuff he knew but this is what the court case in 2015/2016 was about.
As someone who enjoyed Kpop very young, I used to looooove Hyuna. Like, I was crazy for her. Now, I can't even think about her without frowning. That's how much she messed up. Most of us, her most loyal fans, just don't like her anymore.
Hyuna used to be my favourite soloist but now I don't even have her on my kpop list. Hyuna was like big thing in kpop and now she became disappointment.inever thought something like this would happen. Th crowd silence and her tour got cancelled. I dont understand why would hyuna do this
I was always in the minority because I didn't side with Hyuna and Dawn when they got kicked out of their agency. It's not because I think idols dating is bad, I don't. My opinion was that they broke a rule and got the consequences. Maybe the rule was stupid, but it was a rule they fully knew about. Then they act like victims. Now she's doing the same thing, trying to get sympathy even though it's her own choices (to date scum) that's getting a bad reaction.
Pentagon was my ult and when the scandal happened, I couldn't even listen to their former songs with Dawn in it. Everyone sided with the two when they were in the wrong, in my opinion. And now that this happened, like Im not even surprised anymore. They sabotaged the idols left in the company's careers that were still growing.
Her career will do no more than limp along. Many of her oldest fans are turned off by this choice of hers. Her music-making seems to have stalled (and wasn't breaking records recently anyway). TLDR: New fans won't be into her, and fans of her older work left.
Thank you for sharing FACTS. I see a lot of other shorts and comments just completely spreading misinformation on this. It's definitely ok to show disappointment but people spreading false information is not ok at all. Also I think it's incredibly unfair to equate x + y = cat when all these seprate cases are all isolated against each other. YJY wasn't the one involved in goo hara's case and his only crime was not reporting the video that was sent to him. But what he was told was that the girl in that video consented to being filmed just not for the video to be shared. Like I said, it's ok to be disappointed in Hyuna but this misinformed persecution is really mob mentality more than stemming from actual logic.
Her bad life decision will definitely affect her career, for sure. Dawn was so loyal to her, and she just said "bye-bye" after Dawn want to seriously settle just because she wasn't "ready" and now she's getting married after dating someone who has a criminal record for like what few months. Her bad choices will forever be her downfall. Only she has herself to blame and not others
It’s not just that she’s not a girl’s girl I’m also so sad for dawn yeah they’re broken up but he sacrificed basically his entire career for her while hers grew and he was reduced to Hyuna’s boyfriend and they broke up because he wanted to start a family and she didn’t and now for her to turn around only 2 years later and get married to an accomplice to the biggest sex trafficking and molka crime in Korean history is just a slap in the face, she uses whoever she wants and then when she’s done with them she disposes of them and that is the main reason why u won’t be supporting her anymore
literally unless hyuna breaks up with this guy, drop kicks him out of her life and apologises deeply to her fans with an apology where she holds herself accountable and doesn't make a flimsy excuse or push the blame onto someone else, it's over for her. i loved her and supported her so much upon discovering her and 4Minute, I did what I could to stream her songs and be a supportive fan with her relationship to Dawn. Now? It's all thrown away. Down the drain. I'm incredibly disappointed and wonder if her women empowerment and feminist facade was just a farce.
I just overall feel disappointed in Hyuna. Like, she's been such a staple in Kpop, one of the most recognized name in the industry with countless iconic songs that many idols still perform today. She could literally go down in the Kpop history books as one of the queens of Kpop. But she threw that all away for a guy. This is one of the quickest downfalls I've seen from any star of her caliber. I don't think her career is necessarily "Over" yet, but I do think it's taken a hard hit to a point where I don't think she'll be able to fully bounce back from it. I feel like the only way Hyuna can recover and save her career is for both him and her to have their names cleared and prove to the world that He isn't the cowardly man that the media and public perceives him to be (which I doubt she can because she hasn't yet). She would need to be honest and open with everyone on how/why this relationship came to be instead of just laughing it off that she did on that one show. I do think there are parts of this situation that people have over exaggerated or stretched like her getting engaged even though she broke up with Dawn because she didn't want to get married = she cheated on Dawn, I don't think that's the case. At the end of the day, we're not the ones in these relationships therefore we don't know what truly went on so we shouldn't be making up possible stories of what went down and spreading that as the truth. As of now, I don't support her but I'm always open to people working to improve themselves and people who are willing to change for the better. I do believe adults are still learning and growing and will continue to make dumb mistakes or take the completely wrong step in life. That doesn't mean they need to be shunned, not be given any oppourtunity for redemption and deserve to be miserable the rest of their life, but they will need to work to claw their way back. And for Hyuna, she has quite a ways to dig her way back.
I don't think they will ever truly be able to clear their names because after the backlash they continued to open their mouths. Specifically J with that apology I think a good portion of the fanbase is just done and wont support her anymore. If they made a proper apology and showed growth I reckon that they good get in good graces with some people but Hyuna will never be as iconic as she was as her image is ruined
Her career being over will be a very good example to the idols & the society. Her actions prove she never was a girl's girl but banked on the idea that she was. The guy she's dating is not just problematic but a potential criminal. Turning a blind eye towards such disgusting crimes? Is he even a human? If she can openly love someone like that she doesn't deserve to be an artist or any one's role model.
For me, this is absolutely messed up. Especially seeing someone say she liked(obsessed) the guy before and dated dawn because he looked like the guy? hyunA can do whatever she wants for all I care, but the bad decisions aren’t it. I don’t think she thought about it and her career clearly blinded by love. I don’t think she’ll be back from what she was from the start though- seeing what she is recklessly doing right now. To be honest, I was suspicious about her from the start and slowly warmed up to her when she was with dawn(dawn stan ofc). Now I can really see it clearly and my intuition was right. I’m glad people are noticing it right now. I’ll continue supporting dawn, I’m really sure I can’t come back to support hyunA anymore..hope she’ll be fine though.. By the way, sorry for my grammar and stuff.. English isn’t my first language but I hope you understood. Also this is just my opinion of this matter and if you disagree then I don’t really care ‘cause everyone has different opinions on this matter alone. That’s it thanks for reading..
I never knew Dawn and Hyunq were engaged 😢 but I really do feel like the moment Hyuna posted that photo with her new boyfriend, she ruined all her chances at like a good carrer or a good impresion (or the way people think of her) of the people and idols she was closest with, even her fans.
Even if we put GOO HARA 💕 aside and like hyuna was not a "friend" of goo hara !! It still doesn't make sense.... Dating that guy 🙄 like girl you can do way better than that ...(tbh dawn was the BEST but let's not get him involved) and another thing you mentioned in this video... about hyuna saying ' why do i always get caught ' ... You exposed your self.... I won't HATE her but yeah i can't support her from now on ...
I dont care, i never thought she was that talented, but people always made a big deal about her. Ive liked kpop for along time and she always seems to pop up with a new love😂 girl gets around. Whether her career is odver or not who knows. She seems to always come back, so who knows?
She was the reason I started getting into K-Pop in 2011 and remained my favorite female K-Pop stars for years. I used to really love her dual personality, sexy and charismatic on stage, but bubbly and cute off stage, but now... well, let's just say that I don't know what to think about her anymore. I kind of feel bad for Dawn. Now I'm wondering if she did use him. And there's a lot of other guy, so why the heck she chose Junhyung is just beyond my comprehension. Did she not think about the backlash? She's been in the industry for more than a decade, she should have known the consequences.
It is over for her in my opinion, I even saw (idk if it is true) that she cancelled her concerts due to very low ticket sales and that just shows how her supporters no longer wants to continue their support. It is okay to date and get married she is on the right age after all what disappointing in this is that people see her image as the girl's girl and she talks about supporting younger gen of kpop yet she is now dating a man who turned a blind eye on the biggest scandal and crime in SK. It is disgusting and she is proud of the man she is dating which is even more disappointing.
I think she’s relying on international fans not knowing about his involvement with the Burning Sun Scandal. Unfortunately for her most of us know about it.
Her north america tour was cancled cuz of low sales. Thank god the Community is holding together. Last time I saw this when be Boycotted BBC so Loona is free from this hell of agency. And now they are all doing a lot better
I hope people hold her bf just as accountable. Theyre both in the wrong here. I dont think it has tarnished Hyuna as badly if she had been any random artist, its the fact that shes always been such a independent, fierce women who stood up for women there makes this so disappointing 😢
She’d have to have something extraordinary to get herself back up after building this track record but she isn’t even a good singer, her dancing is mid and she might have been a decent rapper to kpop standards 10 years ago but now the bar is too high for her to reach. Adding to that, her acclaimed beauty is filler-botched and recent videos prove her reputed stage presence only works if she performs to an enthusiastic audience.
The k-pop industry can really chewing up and spit out idols, especially the ones who were so young when they were trainees. While Hyuna is not blameless, they industry can be partially to blame.
I always say; you know it’s bad and you know you messed up when BOTH International and Korean fans agree.

I’m sure the judge wanted to see what a celebrity's sex tape is like and of course, he was pleasing himself as he was watching it. Disgusting!

She is just a hypocrite 😒

Why do people call them best friends, when there's no evidence of this. You skipped, "just friend", and went all the way to "best friend". As far as we know, they were acquaintances.

I feel for the guy. He sacrificed his career to be with her. He was ready for marriage and kids with her. Instead they break up and now she's ready to marry another guy, who turns out to be far worse than Dawn 😐As they say: "Nice guys finish last"☹
I’m sorry for him, he deserves much better 💕
Dawn left on his own sure but she was the real influence behind him, he could've done so much more with his career cause he's talented yet he let all this go for her while she obviously had something else on her mind. I remember the video hyuna shared when she and dawn was leaving their former agency, Hyuna was smiling but dawn seemed sad. He knows now what he sacrificed for someone who doesn't even care.

I saw a comment stating: Hyuna actually liked the guy from the start (more like OBSESSED) for such a long time ago, she only dated dawn cause he looks him.. Now she broke up with dawn to get the “man of her dreams.”
Also I wanna add: (again I only saw this and I don’t know if it’s true)
-They were really close friends before and people actually shipped them together..
- They apparently dated before (secretly), clearly she’s not over him….
- Someone said that dawn was her public relationship but the guy and her was secretly dating too…

@@RlovesHaikyuthey always go for the bad boys

Korean fans never forgot, the guy doesn’t have many fans and little international fans, so that’s why. Hyuna gets a huge backlash now because it’s a new situation for her and she has a huge fan base that she disappointed. The guy faced big backlash when the Burning Sun Scandal got revealed

People think Cube kicked them bc they didn’t approve the :dating (they probably didn’t but that’s beside the point)
Cube kicked them because Hyuna and Dawn kinda screwed the company by doing whatever they wanted. Dawn kinda halted the popularity of Pentagon and Hyuna played a big part in that.
This incident always makes me think that hyuna is so selfish.
I remembered in the interview she said she didn't want to lie to her fans
So selfish of her! She didn't even think about dawn situations

Hyuna is no stranger to scandals and bad decisions. it's likely this won't end her career but it will severely impact who's willing to work with her.
it is impacting her career, the public on her last concert went almost completely silent.
Also it's likely that the bad decisions won't end here either 😂
All of her album sales are from Chinese fans whom bought 11,000 albums, but it didn't get past the double digits in Korea, or other countries, so we just need her Chinese fans to get on board.
She had to cancel her tours in north America, so I think it is affected her career for sure

@@chaewonsglasses given that hyuna debut as wonder girls and has been around for 16 years, there's nothing left to prove.
I really miss Goo Hara. She went through so much, but always cared about others.
I never got the impression that Hyuna was a feminist or even promoted female empowerment. She was consistently all about doing whatever SHE wants, which ppl can mistake for female empowerment until it involves throwing other women under the bus.
exactly. she was just doing sexy concepts. which people somewhat interpret as a girl's girl

None of his actions actually indicate he feels any guilt or remorse, not toward the public, not toward his fans, and especially not toward the victim.
The rumours are it is a shotgun wedding
You can’t force a woman to marry someone. Stop pitying a grown man for his own stupid mistake
Never liked her as an artist or as a person. So its easy to move on from her drama. I feel for Dawn though... feels like she used him and threw him away. Yes, he's an adult too but I wonder if he never got involved with her whether he would have a more stable career.
He wouldn’t because even then pentagon was a one hit wonder
He wasn't that famous...
Her dismissive attitude towards the whole thing on Jo Hyun Ah's youtube channel was sickening
Go Hara is the girls' girl .💔💔💔
R.I.P angel.You did Your best💐💐💐
She also openly partnered with SHEIN
Which is crazy cause she has money 😭 she doesnt need to be buying there
boycott shein
She must be broke
Soo what 17 with aliexpress
I'm very sad because I always loved Hyuna since 10 years now... I don't know if keep listening her music or not, I always try to separate the art from the artist but I'm heartbroken
One thing for sure she will never be on top again like before and that's karma !
Gorgeous!!! 💙 Thanks a lot for explaining everything in detail. 🙏
It's not about she's dating but who she's dating. She can make her own choices so do we
Tbh i cheered for her wen she decided to be in relationship wd dawn and than dawn left his group pentagon to be wd her
I still supported her wen she broke up may be she wasn’t happy but bro whattttt ? She is getting married wd a guy who was happy and giggling over girls getting r@ped this is horrible
Hard to say if it's over or not right now. Because the BBC released their video so recently, it could have affected the state of things right now. After several months, or a year or so, when the Burning Sun scandal is, once again, barely a thought in people's minds, we'll see if people are really over her or not. Right now, it could be recency (BBC video) bias.
They'll be mad at her but not him...
She is not a girl's girl, when all of her identity and concept is to be one 😒😒
she is a girls' enemy
Why the heck did Hyuna follow Dawn to the new company AT AREA after the engagement breakup?!
This!!!👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻. Like leave the man alone. He didn’t need that extra drama after the breakup.
Rotten mango covers the burning sun with a lot of detail
I love Rotten Mango ❤❤❤
Rotten mango has her own issues
@@Diana-whathappenedin97 elaborate?
I love Stephanie but I can barely understand what she says and her voice can get grating after a while.
@@MommyENotes Just say you have comprehension issues and go. She's very clear.
Everytime i hear the details of burning shn and go hara i just cant help but get emotional i used to love hyuna but i dont anymore i dont even listen to her music idk ho many victimc are still suffering and the woman who had 2 miscarriages bcz of the dead threats bcz when she wrote article in 2016 no one believed her and she lost her ability to become mother and late go hara going against her best frnd ft island's choi to reveal the truth is just so painfull idk how hyuna is dating a man like him
hara’s role in this whole thing makes me extremely emotional
I miss Hara...
As a casual kpop listener, it really doesnt help that her songs after leaving cube is pretty much...trash 😅
I've always had hidden dislike of hyuna, only because I thought she was reckless during the hyun/dawn era. It must be so easy for her.
And despite all that people are feeling bad for hyuna? Like what?
Not only she in the verge to destroy her career,We all know that she also destroyed Dawn’s career
I think even then she wouldn't get all her fans back
I just overall feel disappointed in Hyuna.
That’s it thanks for reading..
i think it'll be the end if/when she marries that guy. i already stopped supporting/following her after she announced theyre dating
She can recover if she break up with that man, i swear.
She's done.
I dont care, i never thought she was that talented, but people always made a big deal about her. Ive liked kpop for along time and she always seems to pop up with a new love😂 girl gets around. Whether her career is odver or not who knows. She seems to always come back, so who knows?
Damn, I just learned of this. That's fucking wild.
Also RIP Goo Hara. She really didn't deserve any of that bullshit. Goddamn
At first I defended her because I didn‘t know what was really going on but After this Video i‘m really disappointed in her.
Whether it is her end or not I will not support her any further
I think she’s relying on international fans not knowing about his involvement with the Burning Sun Scandal. Unfortunately for her most of us know about it.
this better be the end for her..
Her north america tour was cancled cuz of low sales. Thank god the Community is holding together. Last time I saw this when be Boycotted BBC so Loona is free from this hell of agency. And now they are all doing a lot better
Can you pls do a video next on the whole new jeans situation ???
This woman was an icon... She ruined all of it just for a man
Hyuna may still be a performer but she'll be like MC Mong - a used to be
she turned into such a disappointment. 2021 me could never despise her the way i do rn
She had to cancel her US tour because she's not selling. She's NEVER coming back from this. Truly.
I hope people hold her bf just as accountable. Theyre both in the wrong here. I dont think it has tarnished Hyuna as badly if she had been any random artist, its the fact that shes always been such a independent, fierce women who stood up for women there makes this so disappointing 😢
I have a Polish friend that was obsessed with Hyuna until she started dating that thing
Please please leave Goo Hara out of this. Let her rest in peace and leave her alone..
She had it coming. It completely on her arrogance and morality. I just feel bad who was strung so far along that he was engaged to her..
I think if she dumped him and publicly spoke out against him she could save her career a little, but I know for people like me the damage was done.
The k-pop industry can really chewing up and spit out idols, especially the ones who were so young when they were trainees. While Hyuna is not blameless, they industry can be partially to blame.
I personally believe that Dawn would have gone places if it weren't for this one.
