    Even though I have already done this I still enjoyed watching for the entertainment. You explain things super well and I'm sure this amount of detail will help your channel in the long run. Keep it up man!

    some perople like to cut a notch so it tucks up easier but yeah looks like you Don't really need it unless the metal starts to rib on it where it crosses over the lip.

    i've seen some people leave the stock wire loom and cut small portions of the little tabs to pull it up. they either bend the tabs or cut it. seems easier to cut it though. I can try to find a forum or video where i saw it if youre interested. other than that good job! looking forward to more 240 Videos

      Funny thing after making this video I decided to go on zilvia and I notice people are cutting the chassis like you just explained it. It worked for us with out cutting but if we have problems in the feature we will look in tho that. Thanks Basic Car Guys!

    You could have cut 1 inch "squared gap" where the wiring loom is pushed up while it rests on the flat surface. - over all great job!

    Add a thin metal plate or a piece of plastic to the beginning of the harness

    Is this only necessary on the drivers' side?

    I cut a 1 to 1 1/2 in section from the lip part that guides the wiring harness to help it tuck tighter in the rear of the harness, not sure if it'll make a large enough difference to help the rear of the wiring harness but yeah haha

      If we run it to problems in the feature we will defiantly do this

    Need to notch the frame to tuck the harness higher, even with that my tire still comes close to my harness 17x9.5 if you are planning on going bigger your going to have to redo this in the future.

    is the plastic really that thick? I am having issues trying to fit my fender back on without hitting the harness. I have rewired it 2x now after the wheel cut through it the first time when i bought it

    yeah dude Toyota fucked me on my sc300, we have stupid chassis harnesses running in the fender well on both sides, it's a classic issue, I remember dropping my car then swapping wheel setups, to find the harness being exposed and chafing from tire contact

    • @CARSONBOARD
      @CARSONBOARD  7 років тому

      The 240sx has a wire harnesses on both sides too

    • @crazymasina8524
      @crazymasina8524 7 років тому

      I feel for you dude. To add to that, I always felt most rwd Japanese cars had shallow wheel wells. When I say that I mean you can only lower by so much until you begin to have tire contact with the actual fender well, from there is stiffer spring rates, or fender well cutting and welding.
      Much love love 240's used to have one, great chassis.
