What a clever pattern the second quilt is! ❤ I’ve made a lot of quilts but this one looks especially intriguing! Thanks for sharing! I’m off to do some quilting! Have a blessed day! 😃💕
It's always fun to create a new quilt filled with color❣ Especially when it's a scrappy quilt! Thanks so much for watching. Happy New Year & Happy Quilting, Lea Louise
it makes a lovely block just the way you have the corners folded back at 5:16 on your video. make the corner 1/2 sq triangle , then strip the next 7 rows, any width you want, and a wider strip for the last part.! make your block any size you like!
This style and your educational style help me and suit me so much. ❤ I had a cardiac ablation in 2012 that was botched, and I ended up with no vision on the right peripheral side of each eye. So I took up quilt making as new hobby of all things. I was RN. Thanks.
I'm planning on mixing batiks with regular cotton fabrics for a quilt. Are there any particular rules to follow as in needle and thread weight, prewash or not? Your quilts are always beautiful and I am still learning.
Lovely quilt. My eyes have a hard time resting with so many bold prints. I can see it go together with a lower volume prints. Thanks so much. It’s crazy how our mind reacts to certain prints. ❤
Once you’ve done your quilt tops do you have your own long arm or send them out? Then do you machine or hand stitch the binding? I’m enjoying your videos tremendously!!!
It sure is a pretty one, Kris! It's the Deck The Halls Batiks Woodstock Mixed Fern Yardage SKU# V2529-540 at this Fat Quarter Shop link: shrsl.com/4s91q This is a deep, rich color that's gorgeous but more brown than purple! The Deck The Halls Batiks Winter Cherry Pinecones Yardage SKU# W2568-441 has more purple with pinks & greens. It's mostly pine sprigs and pinecones and the color are awesome. Link here: shrsl.com/4s91v This is what I love about the monthly club, being able to see multiple new fabrics in small pieces. Then i can order more of my favorites. Enjoy looking at all those pretty fabrics! Happy Quilting, Lea Louise .
I'm sure you've tried it, if you cut up your pre-cuts the other way, the 2 1/2" bits become Half jelly roll strips. The top scraps don't change in width, you still get 2 LC's And 4 Charms, you could cut the half Jelly rolls off first, then cut how you did, for a smaller length of 4" wide. Maybe i'm used to metrage, instead of yardage and my fat q's are just that much wider because your end bits were not 2 1/2" wide. My aussie fq's are 18 by 22". I still use inches for quilting because inches are easier to work with. You could get 2 10×5" instead of the 4 charms, or just cut down a LC.into charms or even 16× 2 1/2" sqs, or lose a bit for 9×3"sqs, or cut 8×2 1/2"sqs and 2 ×4 1/2"sqs for double 4-patches. Leaving the extra 1/2" on the scraps? However you work it, have fun! So you could cut 5", 2× 2 1/2" strips and 9" from your 5" cut and leave another 1"on your scraps? Even more fun?
Thanks!
Thank you so much for your generosity, Connie! Glad you enjoyed the video and hope you stop by again soon. Happy Quilting,

I had 2 oblation which I feel made me worse. I now have a pacemaker which helped with the atrial fibrillation. Enjoy your day ❤

Maybe I need to join the Fat Quarter Club! Such beautiful batiks.
Thank you for two wonderful patterns. Your quilts are beautiful.
I have 4 matching layer cakes. (No clue why) This looks like a good plan for them. THANK YOU
Such a fun video. I have a ton of Christmas fabrics that were given to me that will work out great for this. Thanks for the idea
LOL, I love your creativity! I am a scrappy quilt lover and you come up with some of the best I've come across! Keep sharing .
That is gorgeous. Even when not all the fabrics are Christmas, it reads Christmas
Love this quilt! Genius idea to turn every other block so there is very little seam matching. The limiting of colors makes this work so well!
Lovely quilt. My eyes have a hard time resting with so many bold prints. I can see it go together with a lower volume prints. Thanks so much. It’s crazy how our mind reacts to certain prints. ❤

Love all the color😊
Great take on this pattern. Question, how do you mix the stacks with 6 squares?
Where can I get that batik with all the leaves on it? It's purple on top!! I love it!

What about inserting sashing in between each row?
Nice!
