I’m sorry but how is having FF7 Rebirth (current GOTY frontrunner) and Helldivers 2 (biggest multiplayer hit aside from Palworld) a dry year for PlayStation? Not to mention Stellar Blade next week. There’s a point to be made about the later half of this year but right now there’s def exclusive stuff to play on PS5

@@sakuragi1062 Third-party support is not the problem. The problem is that without Insomniac Games, the PS5 would be noticeably drier. Games like FF and Rise of The Ronin aren’t made by PS themselves. Square Enix and Koei Tecmo aren’t trying to sell PS5s, PS themselves are.

like for example, let's say Bloodborne comes to PC, there's no mysticue to playing that game now, every single boss strategy/trick has been found and everybody mastered the game, if you weren't there day one, you don't know how magical it was to go through bosses with everybody at the same time and see who would beat them first or how many attempts it took you and share it with your friends and talk about it with everybody being excited about it
or imagine watching Game of Thrones now, that show was a cultural event at its time, it's still good to watch, but if you weren't there at the time, you just missed the train, day one experience has value, the hype increases the enjoyment of the product

Personally I just don’t wanna deal with the headache that comes from PC; yea you don’t have to pay for online but there’s a lot of technical stuff that at the current point in time, goes completely over my head. When my wife and I buy a house, I’ll definitely look into getting a PC just for modding/certain games but at the end of the day, I much prefer my stagnant box

Nice show, As a ps5 owner i agree with Jack and bond playstation has definitely devalue the ps5 we gotten more pc announcements than ps5, pc people dont have to pay to play ps multiplayer games they raise the price on PSN i haven't renewed the basic tier mine ran out in February. It's crazy 10 years ago we wouldn't thought of any of the big 3 putting their games anywhere but their consoles

Every game will be on every platform. No first party will be pushed to compete with the competition's offerings or outshine them with something new or innovative.
Xbox is done and Playstation is following them. Nintendo continues to be uncontested and don't feel the need to improve their HW.

Think about it this way, the Xbox as a platform has moved outside of just the box. Don mattrick put an almost irreparable scar on the Xbox brand with that 2013 stuff. The Xbox platform is in the clouds and digital, not tied to a physical device. Xbox is just a brand that happens to make its own device. Stop console waring please, there are no more console wars. The console was over when the Xbox One came out at $499 and Don opened his mouth. Its done, it's over. Xbox lost, period. I'm happy when games sell, regardless of the platform. I don't want gaming to die but we gotta look at the market.

I bought a PS5 to play games, thrid and first party games, played best on the PS5, even Lbox games are performing better on the PS5
@holamoco We buy it for both 3rd-party and first-party, or else we would just go get a PC or the competitor - there's a reason why they advertise first-party and console exclusives: because they're important. Due to how many studios PlayStation has, how many of them are working on multiple projects, and how long it's been, we should be getting at least two first-party games a year - they both don't even have to be big AAA games either, one can be a smaller one and the other a bigger AAA one. Which is one thing they need to learn how to do more - balance releases with big and small releases to the year not feel so dry - which is what happened with Spider-Man 2 last year.

This whole Xbox gamers dont buy games narrative needs to stop. The first xbox consle only sold about 34 million.....then when Sony fucked up with PS3 alot of Sony gamers switched over and bought the Xbox 360. Then when Microsoft fucked up with Xbox One release, alot of Sony gamers went back to Playstation. Many xbox gamers are currently on Playstation now and dont own a Xbox, which is why those games are selling so well on Playstation. Alot of people still love Xbox exlusives, they just refuse to buy an Xbox system to play them.
That last statement you made is the reason why that narrative is still going strong; yes, you buy Xbox IP but if you not buying it on the console, then it’s null and void imo. If you an Xbox gamer, your primary focus should be on the products released on the box itself not the PC shit day and date or down the line because again, what’s the point of the Xbox outside of casuals?
