For younger people I'd say avoid using small food items such as beans, seeds, peas, and the like. Maybe start with jello, fruits, fruit peels, pasta...as long as you make sure they're not allergic to it first. Waterplay is great too!

For what age is this appropriate? When I try this my 7 month baby wants to put everything in her mouth (the clear gel beads are a choking hazard)
