I discovered this channel the other day and I have to say with all the hard work and dedication you put into your videos you deserve millions more views!
"Amidakuji" also known as Amida lottery, ghost lottery, ghost leg, or ghost ladder is used with the Spider boss and is common in Japanese culture and video games. It has a nice useful property that no matter how you draw/make it up; for every single line that enters, there is only one line for an exit. It's therefore often used to randomly assign jobs, roles in a play, or initial matchups for a tournament.
I have to comment that not only did I follow this guide religiously while playing mega man x, this ended up being one of my favorite videos ever, you are so informative and the little segments are so funny!! Good stuff!!
I remember wondering how the heck to get the upgrade from the lava in Flame Mammoth's stage initially until I beat Chill Penguin and having the same thought. That was one of those very clever and innovative things you never really saw in a game before.
An alternative way to get the heart in Armored Armadillo's stage is to land on the ledge above and to the right of the spiked arm robot and then slide down the wall and hold right as you fall off the wall. This puts you ahead of the robot. Then all you need to do is dash to the heart
The order of Chill Penguin, Storm Eagle, Flame Mammoth, Spark Mandrill, Armored Armadillo, Launch Octopus, Boomer Kuwanger, Sting Chameleon allows you to get all upgrades by only having to revisit Chill Penguin. Also, I actually thought the helmet was required to get to the heart in Sting Chameleon's stage, so I learned something new.
@@charliela1844 yes. Sting is hardly required to defeat Storm Eagle. He's really easy, and defeating him second lets you defeat Flame Mammoth earlier in the order, thus my order, which reduces the amount of backtracking you have to do to a single stage.
Well done sir! Also, somehow you managed to encorperate a quote from my favorite movie of all time in my favorite Mega Man game. Keep up the stellar work! 😀
Legendary game. Beaten this one countless times over the years. I always felt like a badass when I was able to reliably do the dash off the wall. Music is so great in this one too! I think the stinger at the end is extra creepy in part because game consoles would go into a soft lock sometimes, so all you get is a loop of the creepy music mixed with Sigma's unblinking face and you can't escape it.
Yeah this is platforming at its best. The move-set is so tight and fun to pull like you mentioned. Haha and that does put a creepier spin on the ending.
Hey hey! I got this recommended to me, probably because I'm also covering this game on my channel. I'm here tonight to watch this whole thing! Let's get it 😁
I still got this game and play it along with link to the past... Batman and Robin for the Super NES have you done a video??? Also Shadow Runner for the Super NES have you played and will you do a video
I got this one from my mom around Spring of 1995. I liked Armored Armadillo's stage because of whatever those little riding vehicles were. It made you feel like you were on a wild rollercoaster ride.
I just started playing this game on the legacy collection a few weeks ago, and man this game is difficult. I thought I would give it a try since I'm a fan of the series, and ended beating all four Megaman Zero games on GBA a couple of years ago. I'm not that great at platform-style games but I love the X series. I think there are a lot of great ideas in this game and it's worth playing, but sometimes it's frustrating as hell and feels like a dark souls game. Even if I change the controls in options menu, they never seem to save for some reason, even after I save and load my file. I also didn't expect to run out of the boss weapon ammo on my first boss attempt, only to discover that it's still empty upon using a continue to fight again. I guess it makes sense but damn that's brutal. I just acquired my first sub tank and beat the first four mavericks. I really hope you made a walkthrough for all eight X games because I plan on beating each one, that's my goal. ✌😤🎮
Thank you and we certainly plan on tackling the sequel before too long. That's strange on the controls not taking and very frustrating, same with the weapon ammo; I was sure that refilled upon continuing though I never played it on the Legacy Collection but I don't know why they'd make it MORE difficult.
Thank you! Yeah it's rng, though some enemies are more apt to drop them. There's a trick in particular on the Armored Armadillo stage early on where the giant ball which turns into a bat you see midway on the first cart ride, if you go back and kill it then it USUALLY drops a 1-Up. Go to the right then come back and repeat the process.
I always use chill penguin, storm eagle, flame mammoth, sting chameleon, spark mandrill, armor armadillo, lainch octopus, boomer. I like getting max armor first.
Imma tell you how to beat every boss. Use the x buster tap that y button straight in their faces fast ast you can except for two. Eagle and boomer. Jump when needed
hopfuly u do the full snes series , also if u don't mide doing these games willow , zodas revenge star trpoics 2 , wizerds and worriors 1-3 , and clash at demon head I think it would be awsom to inclued these hidden gems of nes and snes games on your chanles . keep up the awsome work
Was just working on Mega Man X2 because the response to this class has been so good, so I'm aiming for next month after we finish the scary games this month.
I owned x2, which ended up being really disappointing to me. The tease of collecting zero's parts but not being able to use him was too much for me to have any real appreciation of what i had back then. So many games that i sold to a sleazy fat real life comic book guy. He got what was coming to him eventually though, he ended up selling his entire stock at a flea market years later. I got a few good deals off of him, which i sold years later, again.
Yeah we're doing a class on that in a month and ha, yeah true you don't get to "use" the parts to fight like Zero, cool as that would've been. It does alter the ending slightly at least and save you from a boss battle... of course you could've skipped THREE boss battles by avoiding them altogether, but yeah we'll talk about that in that class.
Too bad you couldn’t have gotten MegaMan himself as a special TA for this, especially since he doesn’t seem to be that busy lately, but I guess he has his reasons.
I never understood if you die why you lose all the ammo you used. Theres no sense in having another life if you dont have the right ammo to beat him. People that are good at the game wont even need lives. Shit is just so frustrating and I dont think they thought that part through
Very good point, probably corrected for X2 as yeah even though they had 5/6 Mega Mans out at that point they still didn't think that through as you said.
I have to comment that not only did I follow this guide religiously while playing mega man x, this ended up being one of my favorite videos ever, you are so informative and the little segments are so funny!! Good stuff!!

Thank you so much Superunknown!

Excellent supplementary info on that, Tiro.

Thank you kindly, it's very much appreciated as I love this game!
I love all these channels popping up hoping to go viral like U Can Beat Video Games 😁 Subbed
Keeping the classics alive, thank you!
The first time I saw the stage changes it blew my mind as a kid. I didn't know till later that it depended on the boss beaten. Well done capcom :D
I remember wondering how the heck to get the upgrade from the lava in Flame Mammoth's stage initially until I beat Chill Penguin and having the same thought. That was one of those very clever and innovative things you never really saw in a game before.

Nice, excellent supplementary tip!
You can also just spam the buster. If you're good at button mashing, you'll destroy it just in time.
Yep, there's a lot of slight variations on the ideal route, taking into consideration efficiency but also ease. Part of what makes this game great.
You realize each power effects one of the masters. The order is, ice, spark, armor, missile, boomerang, sting, tornado, flame
@@charliela1844 yes. Sting is hardly required to defeat Storm Eagle. He's really easy, and defeating him second lets you defeat Flame Mammoth earlier in the order, thus my order, which reduces the amount of backtracking you have to do to a single stage.
Dog. Penguin, storm, mammoth, for the x buster then armor. You can do armor last 5 times for 101% 10 times if you want.
Well done sir! Also, somehow you managed to encorperate a quote from my favorite movie of all time in my favorite Mega Man game. Keep up the stellar work! 😀
Haha thank you TC!

I'll add em' to the todo list, thank you Enrique.
I got this one from my mom around Spring of 1995. I liked Armored Armadillo's stage because of whatever those little riding vehicles were. It made you feel like you were on a wild rollercoaster ride.
It is fun, especially launching off at the end to get the Hadouken!
also for flame mamoth and launch octopus if u use the boomerang move on them u can cut off octo's arms and mamoths trunk
Yep, kind of like taking off Magna Centipede's tail in the second game, I like that detail.

The storm tornado is really effective against those awful mini bosses in the octopus level if u end up going in a different order
Sigma paid extra for the cloud backup option, honestly a good move if you're a battle robot
Haha I can't argue with it.
Are the extra lives rng based? Or is there a system to getting more? Love the vid
Thank you! Yeah it's rng, though some enemies are more apt to drop them. There's a trick in particular on the Armored Armadillo stage early on where the giant ball which turns into a bat you see midway on the first cart ride, if you go back and kill it then it USUALLY drops a 1-Up. You can Hadouken both Sigma and his pup. Same goes for Vile's second fight.
Yeah it's ridiculous how powerful it is ha, very satisfying to use.
Somebody give me a HELL YEAH!! One of my all time favorites!
Deservedly so!
I always use chill penguin, storm eagle, flame mammoth, sting chameleon, spark mandrill, armor armadillo, lainch octopus, boomer.
I like getting max armor first.
Understandable, that's a game changer.
Memories!
Yep, 93' was a great year for games.
Heck yeah! Still a classic today. Good times.
Yeah it's 16 bit platforming at its finest, still holds up.
Imma tell you how to beat every boss. Use the x buster tap that y button straight in their faces fast ast you can except for two. Eagle and boomer. Jump when needed
The charged different special weapons may not be super useful but it’s friggin sweet. Lol
Thanks!✌️
Thank you!

Yep, already had many of those in the to-do pipe, so thank you!
any of the other snes mega man games in the syllabus?
Yep X2 will be upcoming, not in the very short term but certainly on the horizon!
Maybe it's been asked, but are we getting Mega Man X2 class? Along the same line, what about Mega Men 6?
Was just working on Mega Man X2 because the response to this class has been so good, so I'm aiming for next month after we finish the scary games this month.
@VideoGames101 This is my first October enrolled. Sounds like fun!
I do like Storm eagle first cuz his weapon kills minibosses in one or two shots
I do like how that one lingers and can be worth multiple shots if you hit them solidly.
this game has stage changing effects depening on which mavrick u beat
True, I love that detail!
to be honest I never understood why Storm Eagle is weak to the Cameleon Sting move as it really doesn't show much compared to the others in damage
Yeah the thought process behind some of these can be a head scratcher at times for sure.
I owned x2, which ended up being really disappointing to me. Agreed, and it's certainly a perfect Mega Man game.
Too bad you couldn’t have gotten MegaMan himself as a special TA for this, especially since he doesn’t seem to be that busy lately, but I guess he has his reasons.
We reached out but he wanted nothing to do with an X game, ha.
@@VideoGames101 poor sport, it’s not like you were asking him to appear on the let’s play of DOS MegaMan.
Looks like the health meter is smaller than the NES games
Yeah at the start it's tiny; you especially appreciate that when you see how much bigger it is after you've gotten that 8th health upgrade.
I never understood if you die why you lose all the ammo you used. Theres no sense in having another life if you dont have the right ammo to beat him. People that are good at the game wont even need lives. Shit is just so frustrating and I dont think they thought that part through

Slow down man, you’re gonna run out of games at the rate you’re going!
Haha I might just.
I don't really care about time. My order is Mammoth, Penguin, Kwanger, Chameleon, Eagle, Octopus, Mandrill, and Armadillo
I do like seeing Mammoth's stage in its natural state with the fire and lava before you chill it out.
I have to comment that not only did I follow this guide religiously while playing mega man x, this ended up being one of my favorite videos ever, you are so informative and the little segments are so funny!! Good stuff!!
Thank you kindly KFP!

Very much agree.
