At least I know you can do 3D pathing with FreeCAD, I just need to find a video to show me how to do it.

Excellent 👍👌 May be a short one to show how to setup opencamlib in fc would be nice? A series a such videos simply demonstrating the various machining strategies and features of the Path WB would be a unique resource to date... 😉
@@peterjansen4894 thanks, peter. I found that page unclear. It mentions ocl is distributed with 0.19, but doesn’t mention what the next steps are with 0.19. I imagine most would find those instructions intimidating.
Hi - I've been struggling with FreeCad for about 8 months now. I have yet to download the realthunder branch but I'm seeing more and more functionality with your videos that could benefit what I am hoping to be able to use FreeCad for. Specifically, I see in your twitter postings that you are working on a rather large assembly file for a CNC router. I would be very interested in a video on how you go about organizing the document for such an assembly. I used to use Fusion 360 and was very good at dealing with large assemblies, but with FreeCad I think I am years away from that ability. Thanks for all your promotion of FC and your videos - I watch them all.
Thank you so much for your kind words. Yes, freecad is growing at a fast pace thanks to a fantastic community of users and programmers. My way of contributing is promoting and demonstrating capabilities while giving feedback to developers. The CNC will be a ful blown series. The machine is already moving and I intend to document everything from design(tutorials) to build and electronics. Atm the design is seeing some changes because of different ball screws but I will have everything on the channel. I have way too many projects started lol
Man, sorry somehow I missed your comment. Please be patient, december is a busy month for me at my day job and I'm ultimating my CNC router. Once that is done I will make allot of content regarding path. In fact, my biggest interest in FC is the path workbench.

What you see in this video regarding the path workbench is already available in FC 0.20 master. So yes , things are being added as functionality.

Please, please, a guide to setting up a profile tool path. So far I get an empty path, or I crash Freecad. It seems so hopeless!
