Windows: winget install FreeCAD.FreeCAD

Без адекватного обучения пользования любым софтом - софт становится кирпичом. FreeCad так же отвратительно обучение пользования даже основ. Сама программа (понимаю умом) прекрасна, но вот воспользоваться не могу.

I was interested in learning FreeCAD and ditching Fusion 360. I heard about the topological naming bug, what problems it can cause, and immediately lost all of my interest. I didnt expect it to be like that forever, but I didn't want to touch FreeCAD until that's fixed. Finally, I can learn FreeCAD and ditch Fusion 360.

I just randomly found out, that FreeCad 1.0 has finally released, because the icon in my start menu has updated (I have it installed via flatpak, so it updated by itself)

Great to see 1.0 😊 I found the editing in this video a tad fast. I couldn't comprehend what I was looking at before the next cut in image or text. Maybe slow it all down about 20% next time? Just a thought. Have a great day.

Did this new FreeCAD 1.0 Assembly Workbench have its part assembly algorithm based on Assembly 4? The yellow icon is identical. Congratulations on the video. Great comments only on the tool's improvements.

FreeCAD is awesome. Than OR for the heads up on new features and a top notch video. I do have one question how do you get your workbenches to tile across the screen.

I was so close to go learn Fusion 360 after encountering so much problem when designing objects in Blender. Audodesk products are like HIV virus to me. It was a pain to remove completely. The moment 1.0 was released, I went straight for it and I love it. Even if FreeCAD was an inferior product than Fusion360, I would rather donate than give big corpo a cent of my money. Way to go libre community!!!!! This is a big win for us. Let's make it the next Blender

It's sad that some features from Linkstage3 are still missing like the ability to select and prior sketches and their subfaces which makes them visible in order to use them. In FreeCAD 1.0 you can still only hover above a sketch and then you only see a feint outline which is useless

Interesting the program in this new update, I chose to install and forehead and I am very anxious for this new learning with the new program. I have with Blender and Sketchup a unique connection, and I confess that it is very attractive.

Just a heads up for anyone who installed open theme, you have to apply the preference pack in the general tab in preferences. It took me a bit to find this so hope this helps.

Hey is there a way to contribute? If so, would that be C/C++? Additionally, I think the UI needs an overhaul. I’d gladly contribute a UI layout if that’s possible?
