Seem like the lions deception just caught up with them and cost them a game.
If we are going to do all these "ifs," then if Cee Dee does not fumble at the goal line, then all this is a mute point. I feel that rule needs to be changed.
I've always heard that you should never place the final score of a game in the hands of the officials. And that's exactly what the Lions did. The Lions were winning that game, and they let the Cowboys come from behind to take the lead. And they should have kicked the field goal to tie the game instead of going for another 2 point conversion.
I like how everyone is saying the lions won that game.. Meaning the Cowboys couldn't have gotten 30 yards, in 23 seconds WITH a timeout, and one of the best receivers in the league. With the BEST KICKER in the NFL this year, that hasnt missed a kick. And has hit from 60 multiple times already.. Not to mention, the lions getting 2 more chances to kick the extra point, which is what they should have done..
No the Cowboys couldn't have in 23 sec ..the coach is not good with clock management..you seen how Detroit got the ball back instead of your coach Mike running the ball instead of throwing it
The thing is, there were MULTIPLE Penalties on that play. 1. Illegal touching 2. Illegal formation (#70 was uncovered) 3. Ineligible man down field. But, the most blatant penalty call was that Tripping Call on Dallas, when it was actually supposed to be on Detroits A. Hutchinson. HOW DO YOU CALL THAT ON THE WRONG TEAM?!?!?!
None of those are penalties if the ref gets the correct guy reporting. Decker reported, not Skipper. The Ref blew that. If Decker reported as eligible, and they line up exactly as they did, then there is no illegal formation, no illegal touching, no inelligible downfield. I agree about the tripping call, that was missed, though you could argue there was holding there...
None of the broadcasters or analysts looked at the formation, regardless of who reported eligible. #68 was at LT and covered by a WR, making #68 ineligible (correct?).
@@jimwoo9552 incorrect. The WR to the left of Decker (#68) was lined up off the line, in the backfield. He even checks with the official to make sure. If #68 did report, then the formation is 100% legal. With #68 in a "tackle eligible" position.
Or let’s not talk about Cowboys blatant holding on Lamb’s touchdown that should have been a safety or their DPI. The fact is this is from a ref completely screwing up before the play started. Not during it, that’s a clear difference and inexcusable.
You guys know the NFL is rigged...or are you that ignorant? I cancelled my season tickets, years ago, after witnessing the refs throwing the game on several occasions. Chiefs and Patriots went to Super Bowls even when they weren't deserving. Vegas runs the NFL. Period
Detroit designed that play to cause confusion, unfortunately it was the referees that were confused. You don’t need three people running at a referee, telling them that one is eligible. They had three chances to convert the two point conversion and failed all three times. They should’ve ran the football.
The scripted nonsense ignores the mass amount of people having to be complicit/look the other way to make it even close to possible. You really think that many people would be involved and not say anything? Critical thinking, man.

9:52 I was at the game. They only announced #70 as eligible over the loud speaker
When the eagles lost they were like make that call!
Yes they announce it skip. I hear it all the time
The refs got the tripping call wrong. They called it on Hendershot when it was actually Hutchinson on the Lions. They call that the right way and the game is over and the Lions never even have a last drive and there’s no controversy. With that being said, refs have been terrible all year a number of games on both teams playing.
Nah I feel like if the Lions take the 3 in the first quarter they win that game
Who did hutch trip?

Actually, he didn’t trip anyone. He tried to, but it didn’t happen. It was just the motion. I didn’t know you get a penalty for not succeeding.
@@debragill3250well if thats the case, why did they call the penalty on the cowboys?

Didn't have to kick the extra points he went for the win and got it it just wasn't in the script lmao whole staff of refs not aloud to officiate in the playoffs refs cheated the lions

Don't think a good defense constitutes only giving up less than 20pts, but more importantly to Not give up a game winning/tieing drive w/ under a minute to go & that's exactly what the Dallas D did!

According to NFL Rule 5, Section 3, Article 1, there is no limit to the number of players who can report as eligible on a given play

Skip, Sherm, Playmaker,
Until #70 changes his status as an ineligible receiver by notification, he is STILL an eligible receiver (Rule 5-3-2) The play was doomed from the start.

I agree with Michael 100%, it's a Win that feels like a Loss!!
Absolutely. It's a stupid rule.
remember when Dez caught that pass during Green Bay game!!!
No the Cowboys couldn't have in 23 sec ..the coach is not good with clock management..you seen how Detroit got the ball back instead of your coach Mike running the ball instead of throwing it
It was 29 seconds n 2 timeouts facts they would've went down the field n kicked the game winner
Missed call, NO QUESTION! But Dan Campbell HAD 2 OTHER OPPORTUNITIES TO KICK THE FIELD GOAL. He didn’t. Bad coaching.
The thing is, there were MULTIPLE Penalties on that play. 1. Illegal touching
2. Illegal formation (#70 was uncovered)
D70 (Dan Skipper) was covered. #68 (Decker) was not.
The referee blew which Lion player reported.
This year has been the most obvious scripted year EVER.
🎉
If the NFL is scripted then how did the Cardinals beat the Eagles. Such a weak take.
You’re brain dead
The scripted nonsense ignores the mass amount of people having to be complicit/look the other way to make it even close to possible. You really think that many people would be involved and not say anything? Critical thinking, man.
People that think a competitive live athletic sport can be scripted have never been athletic enough to play a sport or they simply wear hats with the propellers at the top
They did announce that " number 70 reported " in the stadium before the ball was snapped
The refs are terrible nowadays and the nfl wants to fine players for speaking on these terrible play calls
IT WAS AN ILLEGAL FORMATION!!!!!! #70 reported as an eligible receiver, BUT WASN'T ON THE END OF THE LINE OF SCRIMMAGE!!! Do none of you know the Fing rules of the game??? 😂🤦♂️
The officiating crew announced to the Cowboys that Skipper had reported as eligible, not Decker. There was no reason for the Cowboys to cover Decker on the play if he wasn't eligible.
Doesn't matter someone else would've been open if they covered Decker.
Skipper did not report eligible on that particular play so the question is why did the official do so?
@@zvbx Skipper ran onto the field rubbing his jersey, signaling he was reporting. Might not have been his intention, but he did.
