    Did you actually use the dyed rib knit? When you showed it in your Materials section, the rib knit already looked red with yellow stripes, and it looks the same in your final result. Later, you said you dyed it. What color dye did you use for it, and what did you use it for?

    • @ElliotTran
      @ElliotTran  6 місяців тому

      Hi! I did use dye to dye the white on the rib yellow. However, the ribbing was polyester so the dye could not saturate it much.

    Please e. t can you explain more better how you sew the front like like the bottom space. I don't really get that part

    • @ElliotTran
      @ElliotTran  Рік тому

      Sorry for taking so long to respond! Please let me know if you need anything in specific, but I will try to explain the best I can. So you have to sew the fabric to the ribbing, used for the waist, on both ends. Make sure when you are sewing it to the ends of the ribbing, you fold the bottom of the fabric in, so that when you sew it to the lining of the jacket there is no raw edge. From there, you need to sew an identical bottom piece of fabric to the bottom edges of the lining. When you attach the lining and get to that bottom part. Fold the edges to the inside and topstitch it on the sides and bottom.

    Have you ever enlarged a jacket that is too small? I got my hands on a rare piece and the sleeves fit okay but the problem being the main body is too high up. Would you be kind enough to share any advice on how to extend the length below the waistband area? Thanks!

    • @ElliotTran
      @ElliotTran  Рік тому

      If it is a very rare piece, personally, I would keep it as is to maintain the original piece. However, to extend the length of the waist band, you’d have to sew more fabric onto the bottom of the waist.

    • @k7807
      @k7807 Рік тому +1

      Would it be possible to add fabric inbetween the main body and waistband?

    • @ElliotTran
