RICE FLOUR CHOCOLATE MUG CAKE - VEGAN, GLUTEN-FREE

- This quick and easy mug cake recipe is dedicated to all the chocolate lovers out there !! This extremely soft and moist mug cake is made with rice flour (gluten-free) and also dairy free. You can substitute sugar with honey or Stevia.
This recipe only takes 1 minute to cook and less than 3 minutes to prepare.

2 tbs cacao
2 tbs sugar
1/4 tsp baking powder
pinch of salt

This recipe is AMAZING!!!! It actually worked!!! I have tried so, SO many gluten free recipes and most of the time I failed, but this one worked really good! I used rice milk instead of almond milk but it didn't change anything(in terms of taste) Thank you for this recipe!!!! Oh and sorry for my mistakes if I did them, I'm not native😅
Oh and I also forgot to say that I cooked it for 1:20 minutes and it was very good inside but I think next time I'm gonna actually keep it for 1:30 minutes. It didn't explode or anything. Thank you once again ☺️

I have my birthday today and I can't have gluten or sugar. This is a life saver, I'll replace sugar with sweetener and try it. Atleast I'll have a cupcake to eat on my own birthday when others are gonna be eating my birthday cake

Can we use almond flour instead of rice flour ?
Hi,this is just an idea..
For less sweet,use 1 tbs of sugar.
For less bitter,use 1tbs of cacao.
I prefer not use b.soda,it ll make strange bitterness,use b.powder is a must.
Use water instead of coconut milk is okay.
Use vco/coconut oil instead of butter/margarine is okay too..😊

I tried baking it in the oven for about 15 minutes and used stevia instead of sugar and added more milk. The texture was very good but I found it very bitter. I will try making it again with some other sweetner bc I'm on a candida diet at the moment. I hope it'll be less bitter

How long and what temperature I should use if I'm using a regular electric oven?
I have never tried this recipe in a regular oven. It would be similar to cup cake. So I would keep 5-10 minutes in a preheated oven.

can i not use baking powder? i have the other ingredients but not baking powder. by the way is magarine butter?
Hi, baking powder is the substance that gives raise to this mug cake. You can use 1 tsp of yogurt as an alternative to baking powder. If you are not vegan, you can replace margarine with butter.

Omg omg i just lovvveee the cake.😍😍. it was too spongy..😋 but my coco pawder was unsweetend so i just add it 1tbsp and rice flour added 3tbsp🙂.. can you plz apload a mug cake recipe with riceflour and coffee?🥺🥺

I did it and although the bottom part has a brownie texture, most of it turned out very liquid. What did I do wrong? Too much milk? Should I increase something?
(Btw it was still delicious, that is definetly not the problem)
Hi Anias, I'm glad you tried it and it turned out delicious. If you are using a thick ceramic mug, it might need another extra 15-30 seconds to get the perfect texture. The power of the microwave oven and the consistency of the milk (I used Silk unsweetened Almond milk) could affect as well. I guess you can increase the rice flour, but it won't be as chocolaty as the original recipe. Hope this helps.
@@nerdyfood3170 I did it again and turned up just like yours! I don't know exactly what made it work this time. Changed the mug, paid more atention to the proportion between the wet and dry ingredients (I actually think I was adding too much milk lol) and changed the temperature of the macrowave from high to medium. With 1 minute was enough. It is so good. I actually make my own rice flour from puting raw rice in a blender, so it is like I'm making a cake from rice, chocolate and milk, wich is not only cheap, but kind of healthy (depending on the sugar and the type of butter/oil) and gluten free, wich is AWESOME. hello i tried this one, but when I prepare it the cake never solidifies, it stays as a bubbly fluid? what am I doing wrong?

Hi! If you are going to make this in a conventional oven , you may have to use a baking pan and the cooking time will be different.

Hi Jamie, Yes, they were gluten free and dairy free. If you cannot find such chocolate chips and chocolate sauce you can totally skip those. 😊
That's the point I also wanted to know whether chocolate sauce & chips are vegan.

Hi Anastasia, to get the raise of the mug cake baking powder is needed. You can use baking soda instead.

@@nerdyfood3170 i used a mason jar. Im not sure what my power was. Out of curiosity, did you use sweet rice flour or regular rice flour?
I don't think mason jars are microwavable unless the glass is Pyrex. We used regular rice flour to make this mug cake. Hope this helps.
use a microwavable jar or mug. a microwavable mug is easy to find in malls and stores
