Welcome to Episode 1 of my F2P Neverwinter series. Here I go over all the different classes to choose from and briefly explain what makes that class unique to all the others. If your new to the game it should help you better understand them so you can make the right decision. Choose one you'll enjoy playing the most! In this video I also create my character, taking the class you guys chose for me! And then we can begin our Adventure.

I play as Fighter since 2015. Is a very easy class to learn and understand his mechanics for a first-timer
I love the wizard so much fun to use. But I really like all of them love this game and your channel thumbs up.
the wizard is kinda weak for me tho, im currently lvl 41 and do almost no dmg

I always recommend new players choose Rogue. Especially if they are going to play solo most of the time. To get the most out of the game (levelling to 80) you definitely want DPS. Rogue can pretty much attack at any distance and then get out of the way when they need to. They also exclusively get thievery skill. When you don't have VIP its good to be able to deal with traps.

Whenever i used to Start a new mmorpg i always gravitated towards the tank role only to get burned out because leveling them alone takes ages, now im playing a Warlock and see which speaks to me more
havent played this game in 2 years, but i was a hunter orc. IMO, it class really excelled at being a great crowd control. Vine trapping and then switching to melee to cut them down was my role. Keeping the minions off of the support by trapping and cutting them down and then helping with dps on the bosses was my usual role. I liked playing because it kept me involved with multiple tasks and responsibilities. instead of just face tanking, or damage pumping or healing. if timed properly there was a passive that allowed faster cooldowns when stance switching and you can swap between range and melee and control enemy movement and never really have to wait because of cooldown.
Well crap, was hoping there was a monk class. Will they ever add that in the future?

Nice new guide for new player Aragon and Im pretty sure in a few months it will be the best for end game player, and bte wich power can be cancel in figther? The only I knew was heavy slash but was patched a few months ago, thanks and as always nice vid, cheers

Awesome. Just when I'm moving from cleric to fighter main xD. I just wonder how you'll get the AD for all that legendary/mythic junk we all need for endgame. Looking forward the next episodes with lots of anxiety o.o
As a Fighter since Mod 1 I would say that he became a very boring class that is getting out damage by most of the classes as he has big Cooldowns and slow attacks,yeah they deal damage but it's not fun anymore as he used to be.I highly reccomend an HR (most fun class for me by far in this game as he has different play styles and will keep your interest for a long time).
The same with paladin when they changed in mod 16 they removed all damage :(

Fighter has 2 hard taunts:
[Enforced threat] is aoe hard taunt.
[Anvil of doom] empowered by passive is solo target hard taunt.
New players should understand one thing: Cryptic WILL and always does mess with your characters every few mods. If you're good now you won't be a few mods from now and vice versa. Rogue is the only one they never touched except giving it an extra move so it's like playing a toon built for an earlier version of the game which sucks cause it's my main). TR doesn't even have the trap skill like in Nerwinter Nights they did.
It's going to be a long time before you get to end game status. Going all free mode is worse than watching grass grow. Love your content and good luck.
I'm relatively new but I actually enjoy seeing my character grow slowly in power while I go through the legacy campaigns organically. It feels more earned than in games like WoW where I could have spent 0 seconds at max level during the previous patch and be (almost) 100% caught up within 2-3 hours of the next patch going live.

I chose a wood elf ranger it's really op
I know what you mean about the barbarian tank. I got all the way to about 23000 item level with mine, just as a tank (no DPS load-out). Painful. Started to realise there is only one build to get even close to holding the agro. This was not the build I enjoyed at all. Gave up on the tank and turned him into a DPS. So much better now.
From actual D&D, we are missing 2 classes: Monk and Bard. I would really love to have a monk character that can stance switch from fists to something like a bo staff.

Hmm I'm making a new character aswell but idk what to choose. HR, TR Or Barb. They're all fun and can dish out extreme amounts of damage but idk what to choose i'm so torn
Hmm, that is a tough choice. with a barbarian you'll get the opportunity to tank aswell.
As you can see from the comments, people tend to pick whatever class is OP at the time but this is a bad idea. Cryptic are constantly nerfing and buffing the classes. The only class that has consistently been weak compared to the others is the Control Wizard and it's because it doesn't have a role to play in this game. It relies on chill/arcane stacks for it's dps and it cant get them due to the speed at which the other classes take down the mobs. If it lived up to it's name and could actually control bosses/all mobs then it would have a role. They took the word 'control' out for a reason.
I play the Wizard despite this because I like the way the class plays. Pick the class you enjoy playing not the OP class of the time as sooner or later...that nerf hammer will come.
This game is more alive than I thought. Haven't played in 4 years. I redownload it on the Xbox and I have a lvl 30 fighter, lvl 13 wizard and lvl 12 ranger. I'm going to play with the ranger for now. Any advice?
Just keep leveling up, follow the main gold questline.

I have a level 25 warlock, should I make a new character or should I keep going with a warlock. If I should make a new character which class should it be?
Play a class you like. Warlocks are nice and have many unique abilities.
will you show every quest in playthrough or just bits and pieces of your progress?
the next episode will be pretty close to just following me doing the starting quests. And then from there I think I'll just do more like progression updates, what I've got and where.
Would not recommend wizards they have been nerfed for like 4 moda straight and are second lowest dps atm. Thaumaturge is so bad it’s not usable in endgame content. Whilst Arcanist is okay, it’s still very buggy and lacks dps compared to other classes.
Feels bad... Mainly a barb... But i really love the wizard and i'm ready to switch to wizard if it receives a buff
DeeP MaThs yeah wizard is really fun, they plan on fixing thaumaturge soon but it’ll still leave Arcanist a little behind, better than nothing tho.

Yes. They are the top two dps because of potential not because they are just overpowered. The hinter ranger requires a lot of finesse to play and your reward for basically playing two people's worth of rotations is higher dps output.
Cleric is very prep heavy.... I've had to wait for clerics to build stacks so they can burst the second we get into a boss more times than i care for lmao

What do you need help with?
The best race is what you want your character to look like. They don't make a huge difference and only matters once you hit high endgame
Instead of updating classes I wish they would let us subclass.
I'm relatively new, but I think the Paragon paths are essentially subclasses, are they not ?

yup, it is free to play, but definitely a grindy game once you start getting to endgame

I would say, building a "support" character (tank/healer) is generally cheaper than building a dps.
Which is better soloist?? Rogue or hunter ranger??
Both are good, but personally prefer the rogue

yup, ranger is pretty great for solo play, just go hunter and switch stances using marauders rush to get in close of jump back far
Please explain "Animation Cancelling?"
its when you do another action and it cancels the animation of what you were doing and allows you to finish that action and continue with the new action

Warlock or wizard ?
Personally warlocks are much cooler, you also get the ability to switch to a Healing Paragon along with your Dps Paragon, at level 30+ that is
I creat all the classes and yes I think warlock is amazing dps. I'm 34 lvl now

Yes, it is entirely free to play, you can freely access all content with the right power. It might take a while, but the journey can be good fun.
