    You are fantastic for putting these videos out for us to see what you do on a farm. I just came across your channel and so glad to have found it. People like you are so important in what you do! Do not EVER let the negative comments get to you because so many people are ignorant and don’t understand the care you give to your animals.

    You need to look into making your alleyway adjustable. We got an adjustable alleyway and an adjustable working chute last year. Really makes a big difference running calves through.

    • @TheFarmGuy
      @TheFarmGuy  3 роки тому +2

      It would definitely help but when there’s a lot on the todo list and we only use these pens 6 times a year (only 3 times sending calves up the alleyway), it kinda gets thrown on the back burner and we just deal with it lol.

    Lotta work this cattle farming business, saw a bit of it here in Australia years ago when I worked out in the sticks, they were mustering them with helicopters. Also was on a property that ran 6000 head of sheep and saw them loading them up on road trains. Without the dogs it would've taken weeks. Best life though

    Cattle are very curious creatures. I understand the calves are ignorant about what they are supposed to do. The cows have gotten savvy about what’s going on and can resist stronger. I was interested in how the calves balked just before the head gate.

Difference is, we didn't have to suffer in heat and humidity like you do. If you can, go home, sit down and dink something cold.
