Delta Force initial Heli test and thoughts | Gunner 92+44 Kills

- A couple of clips from our first few matches + entire unedited first round. I'll also be uploading the 92+11 kills game with a gunner camera (most of the action is definitely at the gunner seat) soon.
I'll write my general impressions/issues in a few theses to give you guys a better picture of the current heli situation in Delta Force: Hawk Ops:
1) You cannot currently change the mouse sensitivity for any vehicles/gunners and mouse customization and binding options are very limited. You can only invert vertical input pretty much. That means that options for all rifle aimers out there are pretty limited (I was actually aiming with a pure keyboard layout in the video, lel) and even for the default heli layout the sensitivity is very strange: horizontal axis is way too sensitive, and heli gets way too much horizontal momentum for no reason. Apache physics needs more tweaking to look and feel better.

2) Current loadout options for attack helicopter (AH-1035D Attack Heli):

Currently no little bird/other helis in the game.
3) Some technical issues and unfinished stuff are obviously present. You can see the gunner model flying outside the heli (hello 2042, looking at ya) or the heli can go underwater for short durations. AGM's also seemed to work only from 3d person and were glitchy even there. I may be missing something with them, though.
4) Game on all max settings with RTX set at high looks decent but I prefer 2042 graphics and general picture quality personally. Even with atrocious RTX implementation in it. No HDR options are currently present in DF:HO as well.

5) Even in current iteration heli seems pretty potent, there is definitely room for some big games with it. However, currently the gunner cannot shoot at the point where the heli pilot is aiming, one needs to always tilt the heli up for the gunner to see the battlefield. Very dubious balance decision, if this is intended.
If they add more mouse binding options (hell, even old games like GTA Vice City had those for vehicles) and sensitivity settings for different vehicles + tweak current Apache physics to be less bouncy (also fix that limited 3d person FOV cam while they are at it) + add more helicopters to choose from... This may honestly end not too bad. The game has some BF vibe to it.

@@Darknova591 from what I’m reading the physics are dumbed down in this game so anyone can be good at it. Thats the difference between this and battlefield. That game took skill, this does not. But what I read could be wrong so I won’t know until I play it

Vehicles still feel like little toys
The heli looks too fast in the movement and kind of slops around. I need to test it further but I miss BF3 helicopters and jets gameplay.
Is there a tow or a tv missile? How does air to air feel?

great graphics and map, soldiers are more visible than BF😍🤩😄
tank with AP round can just snipe you across the map which is pretty stupid , i just spawn in and immediately get spawn kill by that

how to fix aim lock on not working as intended? i have to go 3rd person or aim way higher to get the yellow lock on. anyone else?

I hated 2042s heli physics. How do you compare DF Heli to previous BF games? I like BF2 the most also BF3 and 4 physics were good. They slowed down helis in 2042.
AGM is probably working as it worked in BF3, someone with SOFLAM needs to lock it for you first...Yeah...
Rotating with mouse is trash, anyone knows how to change it?

Mouse control is too weird for heli. I binded it on keyboard arrows. Thats much better. But I cann't fire on keyboard. Only mouse. Anybody knows how to bind fire in heli on keyboard?

BF4 attack heli is back!
even the agm locking is not working huh, i find it annoying that sometimes javelin and stinger wont lock onto vehicles or aircraft aswell if they are too close, but maybe thats just the safe distance priming thingy

Didnt like the game and the playability of the xoper, feels very weird
does the flying feel like bf4 or bf3? or is it more like 2042 because they did a horrible job with all the flight models

You need to be more aggressive in the chopper, fly low, do pass overs rather than sitting back

I wish I knew how to fly one, I always end up going into the ground unlike battlefield.
Same. I got chopper three times. Every time I ended up just struggling to stay in the same spot. It's really counterintuitive. Like you have left and right, and somehow also have to control balance with mouse at all times. And it doesn't even go forwards, W just keeps going up, so I use diving to go forward very slowly.
I am a bit of a noob I guess. I like how fluid these types of games are, but ngl COD's chopper is much easier to play with. Forward is forward, and up is up.
Could you try out the LAV?

Choppers are very OP. Flare should have a limited supply, not a run and hide counter.
How many rocket need to take down heli?
2. If you can hit the thing before they run and hide to let repair and flares cooldown that is.

Honestly this looks pathetic, not much skill involved to sky snipe. Watch decent BFBC pilots to see what I mean. Low flying, 1 hit rocket kills, roadkills was so much better.
