He is widely considered one of the most influential rappers of all time. Shakur is among the best-selling music artists, having sold more than 75 million records worldwide. Much of Shakur's music has been noted for addressing contemporary social issues that plagued inner cities, and he is considered a symbol of activism against inequality.
Did you hear about the rose that grew
from a crack in the concrete?
Proving nature's law is wrong it
learned to walk with out having feet.
Funny it seems, but by keeping its dreams,
it learned to breathe fresh air.
Long live the rose that grew from concrete
when no one else ever cared.
The Rose That Grew From Concrete is a symbolic poem in which the poet describes the journey of a Rose from the darkness in the concrete to fresh air and sunlight. However, the poem also represents his own journey from a poor ghetto to a successful life. The poem celebrates the beauty of resilience and the human spirit, and encourages readers to keep striving towards their goals, even when faced with difficult circumstances. It also highlights the power of hope and perseverance and the idea that anything is possible with enough determination and resilience.
