To modify a recumbent to have the speed capabilities evident in this video has got to be satisfying. I'm reminded that it is the combination of the cyclist and a well put together bicycle / recumbent that can produce these results.
Figs are tasty. And the leaves are useful if you forgot to dress before leaving the house. Nice Baron speed footage but... where is everybody? It's like the entire region stayed off the road because they heard you were filming.😅

Grazie Luca :) . Cordiali saluti, VAG Turbo
What kind of figs are those? I remember as a child in South Africa we had two such trees in our garden. I would climb the tree and eat figs until I was so full! I really like the bike too! The video is such a nice change, calm, cool riding, nature and some medfitation. Nice.
I'm glad you enjoy the video! Those figs are florals or fioroni figs. Some species of figs have two seasons, the first one is in early summer, it is a short season and it produces fioroni figs, generally the fruits are bigger and slightly less sweet compare to the figs that ripen at the end of summer but still really really delicious!!! Thank you for sharing your childhood memories, I understand well what you felt!!! 😀
I bought the recumbent. I enjoy biking now. I offroad it sometimes and its a blast. Once I figure out how to pack on it I'm going to really hit the road.
An excellent video. The sceneries, nature and atmoshere in Tuscany is very beautiful and presented artfully, the speed is incredible even for a low racer. I would have got problems to keep up with you in my Quest.
Nice video, I get a feeling how it is to ride a fast recumbent bike in toscany. I don't have such pretty landscape here around the city of Berlin, nevertheless I greatly enjoy riding my M5 Carbon High Racer. Not as fast as you though. 😉
I do 60mph on my sit upright easy rider electric 3000w 72v recumbent and I don't feel all the save, can't think what it would be like that low to the ground on that one doing 60mph.
A very fast bike!I have 5 bikes, but none are capable of maintaining an average speed of 50 km/h! I am interested in the question whether there are carbon parts in this bike and what is the diameter of the wheels?Maybe 20 inches ?I would love to buy such a low racer, but I can't order one from Europe to Russia right now
i have another question for you... a little personal... what sort of protective eye wear do you use. You seem to be going so fast, do you use something like sky divers. I say that because I too ride a recumbent ... not as fast but at the end of the ride quite often my eyes feel sand blasted.
The route of your chain is very interesting. I have an optima baron, but i have doubts about this. Especially when turning into tight corners. Wont your tire hit your chain/dammage it/put dirt on your chain? Or maybe even damage your crankset?
The standard route of the chain is more practical but the dropped chain is for speed and race. I always ride in this way with no problem at all, just be careful not to pedal when turning into tight corners.
Thank you so much for your compliment and your need. Yes, I'm still alive and I have in mind a couple of ideas to make the next videos... But I must find the time to make them....
@@waterb-doge6122 I cut the standard handlebar, added the bar ends, put on it the brakes turned towards me, changed the standard shifters with the bar ends shifters and then taped. Could you please put the chinese website link here? I'm really curious.

Hello. I am student who is studying mechanical engineering. I am doing project about recumbent bicycle. So I want to know max power(Watt) when driving Recumbent bicycle. So can you tell me about that?
I'm sorry, I never did a serious test about maximum power output. In a very reclined position you can't reach the same amount of power of a road upright bike but, there is a big but, the recumbent bike is more efficient and more aerodynamic so you can go faster, a lot faster. Less power and more speed. ua-cam.com/video/1XFHdXfYdfw/v-deo.html
Very nice comment! It wasn't risky because my intention was deliberately to figure out how to make the stargate work. I'd like so much to explore another world...
@@baronlowracer Sure, sure, sure... 4 videos 3 years ago. I bet the thing is sitting somewhere covered in dust right now. It's so much fun that you just can't even use it, apparently.
what a tiny slim bike with invisible handle bars ,i love it.
Assume! So beautiful! And I thought, it was just going to be about your low racer. So much more! Thank you.
I'm very happy to hear that! Thanks to you
I still keep coming back to this video! :)
What an absolutely mesmerizing experience. I feel spiritually fulfilled.
I'm so happy to hear these words. Thank you.
Thank you for the day you shared and incredible content!
You are the MASTER! The control going through the town square with all the people and not offending anyone. I say again, you are the Master.
Thank you so much!! It was funny and not so difficult 😉. Thank you again, you're too kind.
Thank you. Made me think of my past nice trips

Yes, you are right! It's very satisfying!
Thank you for your excellent comment
Like alot of recumbent and velo youtubers, the power of the rider is a significant factor of the speed, here we regularly hit 350W.
Still coming back to this video after three years!
You make me happy! Thank you
Thank you! I have finally found someone who can ride fast on the recumbent bike!
ho riconosciuto Terricciola, Cascina Terme. Non potevi scegliere posti migliori. complimenti per il video

And I thought it's impossible to take a recumbent to the hills of Volterra! You've made me reconsider 😀
Will depend on if you as strong, he is a powerful rider.

very nice recumbent but I think that a front drive wheel is much lighter

(The front wheel is carbon composite, not real carbon).
Front wheel 406.
Rear wheel 559.

Optima Baron Low Racer

Would it not be faster if you had a front wheel drive recumbent with a short chain?
Unfortunately I have no experience with that type of recumbent so I cannot say for sure.
What brand and model bike do you ride? And what is the average speed you do in the flat?
Are u going to make some new videos

Hi, what front wheel do you have and where did you buy it?
Aerospoke. I bought it online
2 fast for the kind of sightseeing I like to do 😁❤️
Great video!
What app are you using for the data?
Thanks!

Is it harder to climb hills on a recumbent than a road bike?
In a steep climb yes but it can be done very well if you have got a right type of recumbent

Hello there. Can I get in touch with you? I am a mechanical engineer and would love to know some specs of this beautiful machine!
Hello. See the description below this video:

@@baronlowracer Respected sir, do you think if you had a full fairing on this machine it would make it faster? Full fairing with head exposed?
Do you know any company that rents recumbent bikes or trikes in Tuscany?
Unfortunately not, as far I know.
50kph @ 230-250watts? BRB getting myself a rad recumbent:)
Where can I buy the bike?
Depends on where you live. Check online
Can I put your videos in a Chinese website? I want more people to know about recumbents, and I will label the link.
Yes of course. It's a pleasure.

Must have been annoying to put down those cameras turn around and go back to pick them up. Or perhaps he had someone else doing that.
