I think you need to join a support group. Hi I'm Paul and I have a robot vacuum addiction. Admitting you have a problem is the first step Paul. Alternately not admitting you have an addiction could be the reason Skynet Uprising begins at your home with a army of robot vacuums attacking your neighbors.;)
Was just about to comment the same thing 😄 I’d buy that. I can see the Paul H video now… a little robot taking the water and peeing like a puppy somewhere 😁
Same for me - too much humidity here in Sweden. I have a smart de-humidifier running 24/7. I can turn it on and off over wi-fi, change fan speed and see current humidity level, but It would be nice with a features with water level.
I’m quite surprised at the amount of comments saying a humidifier isn’t necessary in the UK. Yes, the UK is cold, wet, and damp in the winter, but usually your home is warm and dry in the winter too, and quite often this leads to a lot less humidity than is healthy in the home. Overly dry homes lead to dry throats and noses, dry skin and inevitably infections and illness. Humidifiers are of use, even if only for a portion of the year. Here in Taiwan, even though it’s humid for most of the year, in the (mild) winter there’s still a need for humidification.
A humidifier and a dehumidifier walk into a bar. "You suck" said the humidifier. "Well you blow" said the dehumidifier... Thank you. I'm here all week.
In england or other countries you need a dehumidifier, would be amazing if they made a dehumidifier that can top up the robovac for the mopping function and if you had a humidifier the robo vac can transport the water from the devices so in theory you only need to top any of them up rarely
You know what will never get stale for me? Watching people get worked up and moan online! Keep it up! The more they complain, the better job you are doing! As always entertaining video!
As a person who suffered from humidifier /hot tub lung without realizing it for a while and am paranoid about all humidifiers and steam showers now, that filter drier really is the most enticing feature. Evaporative humidifiers are still some of the best out there for health reasons but this is a close second. You still have to consider water sitting in the tank however, as nothing is fully sealed and protected against bacteria and fungus and UV cycles can only take out bacteria, not their exotoxins. It's important to clean any humidifier's tank regularly. The ultrasonic humidifiers in the market (looking at you, Govee) are definitely the worst because they basically atomize exotoxins and fungal spores into the room, so even if you use distilled water like I did (thinking only the minerals were a worry), you're basically bathing your room in nastiness. Add in lung hypersensitivity and you have a formula for disaster. I didn't figure it out until after a trip to the ER and watching my plants suffer/die from multiple diseases, and I'm actually well versed and experienced in random medical stuff. :P Long story long, always clean your water tanks and filters regularly, regardless of the type of appliance, and never leave untreated water sitting in a tank (humidifier, robovac, dehumidifier, whatever) more than a few days.
@mean1979Brains I wish they'd made the warning about cleaning every few days very blatant on their packaging (I did find it in the maintenance section of their booklet at least). Ultrasonic and other cool mist humidifiers are great to have around kids because there's no risk of burns, but yeah, I was surprised at the consequences, heh. There are treatments you can use to extend the time between cleanings out to a week or so (some are cute little fishies) but be sure what you get is rated for your type of humidifier. :)
Wanted to clarify that "warm" evaporative humidifiers are considered the best for health reasons. There are also cold evaporative humidifiers, which is what this Switchbot one is.
I have an ultrasonic humidifier that gets occasional use and is left with water (from the tap) in the tank for prolonged periods and nothing grows in there. No dust left behind either (other than a small buildup on the nozzle edge). Also, in a tank filled with distilled water you shouldn't have been able to grow anything since there would be no food for the bacteria or fungi. Maybe the toxins were already in your room/walls and the mist just helped them spread?
I'm thinking the real elephant this week is "how many people in the damp old UK really need a humidifier?". I get there are some people with medical conditions, but then how many of those can afford such an expensive one? Certainly if I was in this little Venn pocket, I'd want the machine to do more than this. Perhaps both humidification and dehumidification so it can control the humidity to a set point. Then maybe throw in some HEPA filtering for good measure.
Seems like an ideal solution for a problem that noone really knew they ever had. Here in Canada we buy a humidifier that has a big enough reservoir, rather than a base station that has a big reservoir. (But as ever, i loved your video ! )

the best humidifier imho is the Dyson PH04 - it is an air purifier with built in cold evaporator humidifier and it has an additional UVC light inside to clean the evaporate of any bacteria or virus. It costs 800 bucks though, but I swear, best buy I have ever made, when one of my kids is sick, not everyone gets sick any more because it cleans the air while humidifying. I have 5 of those in my house now.

Air fryer, kettle and Dishwasher makes enough humidity in any climate. I’d be interested in seeing an air purifier/dehumidifier in one, with a air quality sensor built in so you can see the data and compare it with actual experience and exposure to the different environments
As for the robot water butler function, its super cool, but I can hear Jeff Goldblum's line from Jurassic Park ringing in my ears (you know the one). 😂 Also, if you can plumb the robovac into the mains water supply, why not make a humidifier that has that feature ?? 😂 and yeah, uk, what's a humidifier? However, in northern China where your clothes dry in the lounge in about 1 hour, its an essential product. (Although hanging the washing has some small effect). Nice video, shame the top-up didn't work, can you do a special bonus episode when you get it working??
The technology Switchbot have included in this humidifier actually make the price quite reasonable. I have not seen anything in this price point, and in a portable format, that has this technology included. The self drying filters alone will improve air quality, but everything else in this just makes this a really smart option. As far as Matter goes, Switchbot made it via the Hub, like a lot of other manufacturers do, so they can include other devices in their range that cannot be updated to Matter easily via firmware, so in some ways it makes sense, as much as it is an extra cost to have the Hub 2 or Hub Mini (Matter Enabled version). What annoyed me abotu Switchbot is that the had the Hub Mini and then released a different device just to matter enable it, the hub mini matter enabled. I got the hub mini only a couple of months before they released the matter enabled one, and that is quite frustrating. Wish they'd just matter enabled the original hub mini via firmware.

oh yeah and when are you doing a giveaway becuase i’m too poor to get something for my 12 year old and seriously i need something so i want to win it but i can win a dyson form my work somehow?
lol this is just unnecessary. My humidifier holds roughly 5.5 gallons (18.9L) which means it needs filled roughly once every few days. It also has a humidity sensor and controls itself of when it needs to turn off or on without needing to be connected. Put a tablespoon of bacteriostatic in each tank fill and your good to go. Meaning my old school humidifier is cheaper and requires less interaction than this one. The cold air "technology" is not new technology its been around for decades. As far as the filters go the filters for mine you replace once a season and in my neck of the woods that means once spring hits you shut down the humidifier and clean it, replace filter and put it in the closet until winter time again.

But we still have to fill up the dock/dispenser with water? This is a solution to a problem that doesn't exist.
No. The idea is that you plumb the dispenser in.
@@paulhibbert Fair enough. So why not just plumb the humidifier in? This water transporting robot exists to move water from one box to another because someone needs a humidifier across the room from where a water line is available? It's impressive but the use case super limited.
Unless you live in a desert… why do you need to humidify the air in your house??
so it broke? 4:30 seems like that's the important takeaway from the review
your wobbly appendage doesn't slot into anything either.
Paul from the past should of talked to Paul from the future before filming to avoid this :D
Happy Saturday fella
Happy Saturday dude!
@paulhibbert need a dehumidifier to fill the robot mop and Elton John to sing the circle of life!
@Paul, I'm not sure why anyone is still employing Ezra Miller or why I still watch your videos 🤣. Sorry, I found the TV series of The Flash less annoying than the movie which I couldn't finish watching. As for Paul HIbbert videos... 😂
The thing most stale with this channel is CLEARLY the host Paul, need more Neesha! 😂

Baited all the way
Im thinking pauls audience is not made up of many people from the uk not thats what the comments would make you believe, but all jokes aside "paul for the love of god dont kill your channel with thoughtlessness" ive bought a device or 2 because of your reviews that have left me scratching my head (in disbelieve), i suppose what i mean is remember who your viewers are. Still love you dude but i guess my frustration in evident in my comments
Curious as to which products have left you scratching your head?
The switch bot finger ? 😂
most ppl wants dehumidifiers!
oh yeah and when are you doing a giveaway becuase i’m too poor to get something for my 12 year old and seriously i need something so i want to win it but i can win a dyson form my work somehow?
First
Great success!
lol this is just unnecessary.
Boring though eh.
Very stale these days, even the good jokes don't lift the videos anymore.
Hey Paul….get the Slap-a-matic ready. This guy needs a wake up call. 👋👋👋👋👋👋👋👋👋👋
Jongmans38 there's a very simple solution to your problem.
Need l say more ?
Ok then, just dont watch them anymore, then you dont have to post your negativity.
Have a nice day y'all. 😂
