I don't know what I love more; the history, the ghost stories, the pictures, or your narration. I love it all.
Aww thank you ever so much! I love the history for sure 🙋♀️👻🙏
The pastel portrait of the younger, blond, Duke of Cumberland looks very much like Boris Johnson. Does anyone else think so?
yes indeed it’s quite scary!
Very much like Johnson
That would explain a lot.
I was about to comment that.
Ex..cer..leent! My Club (Oxford&Cambridge) is only twenty steps to the right of St. James Palace 😄 The story of the evil Duke…explains the noises I hear late at night when taking a stroll by the Palace 🥺 I hope Madame Beauclair found eternal peace with her dear friend..a charming story in its way of love…between two souls 😊
I shall have to find out more!
I find that building quite 'alive' somehow. I don't mean creepy.
Ernest Augustus painted in 1823 is the spit of BoJo!!!
I know, that’s exactly what I thought! it’s a bit scary right?
@@ghostcasebook1266@ Ghost Casebook Just looking at him and remembering how unpopular the Duke was is a perfect summation!
Also, check out portraits of the Hanoverian George 111 Boris is the spitting image of him. Not surprising really as the TV series 'Who do you think you are'? Discovered that Boris and the King were distantly related. Therefore Earnest Augustus is also a distant relation.
Brilliant work 👏 thank you so much for these videos. They are very well researched and presented, entertaining and informative. Well done and thank you again 👏 🙏 👍
Glad you like them! thank you again for such kind words 👻👻
Woo hoo! Joy. I Love your channel.
Thanks so much! I hope you enjoy the video Lisa 👻👻
Hello from Virginia 🇺🇸 I have recently discovered your channel and am enjoying the fascinating ghost tales 👻
Hello Michelle many thanks for your comment. So glad you are enjoying the channel. Its a relatively new channel so this means a great deal. Best wishes GC 👻 ❤️
Yet another excellent read. Thank you.
You are so welcome! I’m glad you enjoyed and thank you for taking time to comment. It’s really appreciated 👻👻
Just love history's stories they are scary but true, teaches us with things we would never know
Entertaining and Historical again, thank you. ( The monster (subs) I mentioned after an earlier video seems to be creeping up on you). Keep it up, You're doing great work.
Hello Jester Joe. I remember your kind words and I am so glad that you're such a loyal supporter. Many thanks for your kind words of encouragement 😊 👻👻
I was told that there are secret passages to many of the rooms so the rooms can be entered without using and being seen in the hallway. Old Henry thought of everything.
this is a great channel, I hope it does really well.
I hope so too! Jayne you’re very kind. It is early days for the channel so I appreciate your kind words of encouragement 👻👻
I am sure there are more spirits 'living' at St James'. Very interesting though Nicola. TY from 🇦🇺🦘 Keep them coming. Look forward to the next one. ❤️❤️👻👻
Hi, Awesome live ghosts stories, I enjoyed it can't wait to see more soon. Your ghosts stories videos are always enjoyable and relaxing. Have a great day see you next video. How are you doing? I'm doing well just hanging out with my cat Benjamin. 😀😀 if I have any suggestions in history in the future. I'll let you know
Hi Michelle well I am glad you're enjoying the videos. All good here in the UK. I'm doing well and so lovely to hear that little feline Benjamin is a fan too! As is my cat Mooncat. She does make filming VERY difficult but I can't be cross with her because she's so pretty. That's the way with pets!
Wonderful video, as always!
Absolutely brilliantly read stories! I adore your narration style. It's so low key that suits these British ghost stories. In the hope I dont sound like a broken record..Please add more!👻
Wow, thank you! I’m so pleased you’re enjoying the videos and you don’t sound like a broken record James! 👻🙋♀️
@@ghostcasebook1266 That is good to know! 😊👻
I stayed there in 1980 for a few weeks and it was very eerie.
Sounds very interesting…if you wish to share, my email is in the ‘about’ section but I can certainly imagine it being eerie 👻
I am new to your/this channel and I've watched 3 of your spooky video's and I have to say they are so interesting.
I've driven past St James's Palace so many time and wondered about the people that once lived there and I find it so fascinating.
You must of done a lot of research to to tell the story like you do.
Great work... Just subbed.
Thank you so much for subscribing and glad you enjoyed. Yes, St James’s palace is one of those places that has an amazing history but it is often overlooked, I think. Thanks again GC 👻
The duke definitely did something bad that night, like murder, the self inflicted wounds on himself, the two wounds would have been the obvious places to cut himself, where's Sherlock when you need him.
Well done, again. I enjoy your cases immensely. I visited the Sherlock Holmes pub that you mentioned on one of my trips to London. Looking forward to the next cases being published on line. Best Regards !
I'm so glad you enjoyed and thank you for sharing about the Sherlock Holmes pub. Sad to think he was buried as a suicide instead of a murder victim!
Super narration of a fascinating subject. Love the spooky intro.South Africa 🇿🇦
Thank you so much Jeff and greetings to you and all viewers in South Africa 🙋♀️👻😊
Say a prayer , call on guardian angels , and send some love to Sallas, the innocent victim.
Even as a "Yank", (I think that's still the Brit's word for American)I knew about the Princes in The Tower, but most of the other stories are new to me. Are you planning to do some Scottish ghost stories? There arent many on UA-cam, which is so suprising to me. Anyway, I am enjoying these very much. Your voice is very soothing. Looking forward to being a part of your community while this channel grows!
I am planning to do more Scottish stories and stories from Wales (which is where I am from) in the future. I did cover Glamis castle back in the spring. Here’s a link.

Hi, I would just like to say I am enjoying your channel so much, found you last week and complety hooked, gorgeous and calming narration and wonderful historic knowledge. Thank you so much :)
Thank you so much! Welcome along! I am so glad you are enjoying the videos and the history too 👻🙋♀️
Love ghost stories fascinateing
Thank you Sharon 😊
Just discovered this channel. Excellent! I’ve subbed right away. Wonderful presentation. Will now be catching up on all your previous videos.
Thanks and welcome Rose, glad you’re enjoying. There’s lots more content on its way too 👻👻
Another unsettling history! Ghostly tales are legit history but you won't find so-called historians mentioning them.
I've always been fascinated by stories of predicted deaths like that of Madame Beauclair, & how they can be so accurate. Similarly some old mystics & tribal peoples, who literally tell their families that their time is up, then lay down & die.
A total skeptic, I've changed into a believer. I thoroughly enjoy your story telling. Much appreciated.
Goodness me thank you John! That’s so interesting 🙋♀️👻🙏
Love your channel! Keep up the great work! 😊
Thank you so much! 👻🙋♀️ Leona, I am so glad you like the videos. Please stay tuned for more 🙏
Wow. I looked into the last story about Madame de Mazarin (e), and it would seem she has something to do with a book I'm working on (that is about the lives of long-dead people). 🤫Knowing Mazarin's life as I do, her soul coming back wouldn't surprise me. I love this channel, and who knew I would find this story directly connected to me? That must be fate.
Oh wow how interesting that you are working on a book. Glad you enjoyed the video for sure. A coincidence! 👻🙋♀️
Captain Gronow (see his Wikipedia entry) stood Guard at St James's Palace circa 1812
All very interesting 🤔
Love this thankyou
So pleased you enjoyed Sue 🙂
Love this video👻
Many thanks Karl!
Wonderful videos, love both the way you tell the stories and the beautiful photographs! I am working my way through all of your work.
Glad you like them Robin. You are very kind and thank you for your lovely comment 👻🙋♀️
Fascinating stuff! Many thanks :)
i love videos like this i subbed to u
Top shelf content.
Spooky 😮
Yes, this place is indeed haunted...there is a new French Channel " Paranormal Area "...a few ( well made ) videos, the young female host will tell HER story in the next presentation...having witnessed the voices in the northern france holiday home, i described it here in an older comment, you don't ignore other people's experiences, and that's an advantage !
I will check it out 👻🎄
Neil Oliver uploaded some great ghost stories.
Video could be longer. I doubt that there is more than one ghost at St. James' Palace.
I'd love to see the Sherlock Holmes pub and the museum 🖼️ he's my favorite detective next to Batman 🦇
I’ll try to cover these in the future for sure 🙋♀️👻🙏
The spirits of the dead can, with God's permission or command, go back to earth and sometimes haunt the living. The purpose of this is that they will incite people to pray for their souls in purgatory. However, it can also be a devil who pretends to be a spirit who has passed away. Either way, prayers will be of help when frightened.
Eternal rest grant unto them Oh Lord and let perpetual light shine upon them, and may all the souls of the faithful departed rest in peace. Amen.
I have personally prayed people into heaven.👼👼👼👼👼👼⏫⏫⏫⏫⏫⏫⏫
I wonder if anyone reading has come across the story of harry Martindale and the Roman soldiers in York? I'd certainly recommend it, it's easy to find. After you've watched all the great videos on GC's channel of course 🙂
Hello I have done a Ghosts of York video and the only reason I didn’t include the story of the Roman soldiers is because it’s been covered lots of times and I just felt it might be better to cover lesser known stories. But it is a great story for sure 🙋♀️👻🙏
@@ghostcasebook1266 Oh sorry GC. I'm still getting through your work, when I have time. I'll look out for it. I was in 'The most haunted pub in York' a few years ago (I forget the name) Nothing for me to report but the bar lady told me some stories 🙂 X
The duke = epitome of the classical stuffed shirt.
indeed Jeff! looks a bit like a prime minister we know …🤔
Interesting! It is given unto man to die but once, so says the Bible.
Given how cryptic the bible is, that could mean anything. Your ego can die and you can be reborn in Christ...one example.
I have no idea if anyone's going to appreciate what my husband said about this at 0:51 :
"Yeah he'd be less!"
Have any currant members of the Royal Family seen anything?
I believe Queen Camilla has and the late QE II did too, I believe. I covered some royal ghosts in Windsor Castle very early on too. 👻🙋♀️🙏
@@ghostcasebook1266 Did Diana ever see any?
I don’t know to be honest, but I imagine she might. I believe she used astrologers and psychic mediums including Ian Lawman who is on Help my house is haunted on the discovery channel. I have covered The ghosts of Kensington Palace where she used to live in an earlier video. 👻🙋♀️
The content and voiceover are great, as are the visuals! I really wanted to finish watching but was having difficulty with the background music as it's pitched a tad too high and therefore is coming across less as "creepy & haunted" and more like "feedback from a misbehaving microphone". Is this something anyone else struggled with or is it just my ears being overly sensitive?
Hello thanks for your comment. Sorry you found the audio a bit tricky on this occasion. Hopefully future videos will have better sound GC 👻
