I thought the previous Envision was just okay. However, this one looks like it should definitely be more competitive in the segment for Buick - I like it a lot.
I have the Premium 2. With Porsche Turbo motor. I LOVE LOVE the performance of this vehicle. Such a sweet ride. I raced a Scat Cat for a few miles and I was only a nose behind. But only because he couldn't believe that it was a Buick and backed off. O to a hundred in 30sec I'd say. Perfomance is AMAZING and the rest is history. I have Cinnabar Red.
I just bought this car black on black panoramic roof. Beautiful driving car quiet and comfortable. On the caddy XT4 platform much improved from previous models. And of course the redesign is off the hook. This car now enters the Audi, infinity, caddy, market but much less expensive than any of them. You get a lot for the money.
Nice review and comments Sir! The "tech numbers, HP etc." are not what sells a vehicle... it's the "feeling, style and emotions" that cause people to like or dislike a vehicle. This Buick is a huge step-up from what they were doing previously. LOVE the dash and focus! (No iPad on dash!!!) Can't wait to see the new Enclave! Thank you!
Thank you John! I am glad you enjoyed it. I agree, lots of people get fixated on the numbers, HP, torque, etc, but when they get in they don't even like the car. How it rides and feels should be the main factor.... plus reliability, price etc.
@@MattTheCarguy Exactly! You get it! Today's cars are sooo good that people get spoiled by them. (My opinion). I've see the quality over the years and this Buick is light-years ahead of vehicles from the past. I like they are not copying some common trends and going their own route. I have a 2001 LeSabre with 49K miles and it's a dream to drive on road trips. 30+mgg too!! (Maybe that's why they killed it!)
Just so you know, the model names and engines you quote are are not applicable to the 2021, they are for the old 2020. As for this new one, wow, what an amazing improvement over last years Envision. I wouldn’t even look at last years, but I will now. Good job Buick!
Thanks for watching! you are absolutely correct, I thought it was cut out of the video, but I am guessing not. For 2021 there is only Envision and Envision Avenir which I just saw at the dealership and it looked awesome.
I have.... waiting on announcement of pathfinder on 2/4. If it’s a bigger Rogue probable the highest contender for me. Especially if no CVT. Need a suv that rides like a truck, but not $70k or I would get a Tahoe. I drive a Ram now, just too high to get get our 2 year old in the car seat.
@@MattTheCarguy most definitely.... has everything I was hoping for! Looks, no cvt, cooling seat, digital gauge and nice 20” wheels. Just wish it larger gps screen, 9” is on the small side now a days for larger crossover, especially when the Rogue is offered with a 9”.
The only engine for 2021 is the 228 hp 2.0T with 258 lb-ft of torque. The only trims for 2021 are Preferred, Essence and Avenir. You're quoting engines, trim levels and pricing from 2020 and before.
not feeling the black trim on the wheel-wells. It would look much better if it’s body colored. It makes it look like there’s a huge space between the housing and the wheel....as if it jacked up or the wheels are two small.
Looks to me like Buick degraded this from last year's model. Things I don't like: Less cargo capacity, which wasn't that much to start with. They sloped off the back end even more than before, which renders it less able to accommodate certain taller cargo. Lost 30 horse power in the engine. And I bet they raised the price, to boot.
I think they greatly improved vs the previous generation and finally entered the 21st century with the new design. Even with less hp the engine does not feel sluggish at all, and the price...went down. I suggest you drive it to appreciate it.
You may be correct on the reduced cargo ability, but I’m betting the dramatically improved 2021 design (including the sloped roofline) will finally put the Envision in a lot more driveways. 99% of the people could care less about about a little less cargo area. And the new 2.0 turbo has all the power you can use. I’m looking at this new one. Wouldn’t even bother with the 2020.
It only as 238 hp 258 lbs of torque know what your talking about
228HP not 238, but thanks for your comment.
*228 HP

Wow! Great shots! Especially in the sunlight! 👍🏾
Thank you!
That’s a beautiful Buick It kinda of reminds me of the Porsche Macan
It has some similarities. Also Alfa, maybe

It IS a Porsche with a Buick body.

Thanks for the video, I just got a Garnet metallic Avenir, car drives awesome
Awesome, thanks fornwatvhing! I will do the Avenir soon.
@@MattTheCarguy you will love it
Informative video that I am considering.... the cinnabar metallic is hot in this trim saw at a local dealer over the weekend
Nope... it was on Sunday. I have to wait a few more months, really need a 3 row suv for our family

Just an Suggestion. You MUST have your foot on the brake to start, reverse, drive excettra.

I agree. It looks much better with the “Diamond” option wheels.
Isn't this just the premium version of the GMC Terrain? So wouldn't that actually be equivalent to the Cadillac X4 and not X5
Specs say Terrain is 182" x 72 and Envision is 183" x 74". The Xt5 is 190" x 75"
I would prefer this over CADILLAC -
It looks great. Both are nice
Yeah I saw the first on Ratis ride its nice but its a ....buick😐
It’s actually an Alexa!
My grandpa will look cool driving that.....sort of :(

@@velboone6041 Huh? What I wrote is factual, so how does that "sound crazy"?
They greatly improved the Envision and actually *lowered* the price about $1,700 across all trim levels compared to the last generation.

It is a four cylinder engine. Period!
? Is it good or bad?
