  • Boggera Inferiore is probably the most commercially frequented canyon in Ticino. It offers many jumps (from low to high), slides, and rappels, none of which are very hard, but they are impressive. The canyon itself is never deep, and emergency exits can be made almost anywhere. Make sure you call the number indicated on the signs during the ascent to let them know you are going, and don't forget to call once you are out!
    Parking: 46°18'00.9"N 8°59'36.6"E
Ascent: Cross the road, and head north for a few meters until you reach the river Boggera. Make your way down into the riverbed (easier downriver) and follow the river back up (north-east) underneath the road and railroad. Find the path that runs parallel to the railroad and follow it for about 200 m, until a clear path on the right leads you uphill (marked with a warning sign for floods). Follow the path up. It crosses the Boggera and continues on the other side. Simply follow the blue arrow signs. 20 - 30 min
Descent: Lots of jumps (low and high), many slides, and some nice abseils. A canyon that has a lot of fun-potential. Perfect for beginners and more advanced alike. 2 - 3 h
The way back: cross under the railroad again and make your way back to the car. (5 min)
