I literally went back and read Spider-Man bs Wolverine it came out in the 90s or 89s but it was a stupid story to me like Peter tried to punch wolverine and the woman jumped in the way so Spider-Man accidentally killed her
So basically what I've learned is that you can get away with domestic abuse, but only if you do it a bad storyline that everyone agrees to forget about.
Luckily for Peter, the whole mess with the clones completely overshadowed the act of domestic abuse.
It wasn't domestic abuse he hit her on accident no to mention she knew who was fighting and how strong they were on top of that she probably could tell she was pregnant and shouldn't get in the middle of any fight plus peter was pretty pissed
It also helps if you're marvels best selling superhero.
I wouldn’t really call it domestic abuse. I’m definitely not defending it, but he didn’t actually know it was her and instantly regretted it when he found out.
@@Aesirfollower2020 Peter knew she was pregnant when he hit her. She was a few months along - she was visibly pregnant.

“Yup Spider-Man committed war crimes...”
Can’t say I’m surprised
The civil war/one more day storyline is a bit infamous, but I really liked seeing Peter just being so dark and savage. He dismantled and humiliated kingpin in front of all of the other prisoners, just toying with him and showed him how out of his league kingpin actually was. There’s something so satisfying seeing a man who puts his family above everything throw everything to the side just act in desperation and anger.
"This video was sponsored the the Daily Bugle."

Peter: If I had a nickel for everytime I've stolen an ambulance, I'd have two nickels. Not much, but it's weird that it happened twice.

5:14 "Technically not illegal" is usually the mob's MO when it comes to the surface level stuff lol. I mean they're like the mafia and yakuza after all.
There’s a difference between the mob and the mafia?
@@sdm47 The Mafia is _specifically_ a specific Italian-American mob and various other mobs in Italy.
Mobs can be of any nationality and entirely independent of the Mafia (like you know, the Yakuza?). The first time the term was used was with the Irish Mob.
"The Mob" is literally just _any_ given organized crime group.
But to answer your question, the The Manfredi Crime Family is in fact a mafia.
In the MCU they were even involved in the NY Mafia Cold War seen in a bonus feature in the Far From Home DVD in spite of being called a mob and not a mafia in the MCU (they were mostly seen in Agent Carter season 2).

RE: Peter not getting labeled as a "wife beater" like Hank Pym; I think it's mostly because the general public wanted to forget the whole clone saga altogether, so Peter hitting MJ was just one of MANY things in that whole mess that people wanted to forget about
Then also hank pym purposely hit his wife while Peter it was clear it was a moment of high stress and high anger an absolute confusion plus the clone slog on doing horribly didn't help the situation
Also I know that we're... pretty sure that spiderman is the one we're still reading about... but still only like... 80%. I mean that entire arc felt like the world's longest and stupidest game of three card monte.
@@knucklessammich3875 except that was a mistake caused by miscommunication between the writer and the artist
@@knucklessammich3875 Technically, Hank was MEANT to accidentally do it in a fit of rage, but the artist mistook it and, thought he did it on purpose
6:06 the difference is peter immediately apologized and realized what he did, while hank didn't care that he hit her, all he cared about was faking his worth to the other avengers
Wrong. Hank was under the influence of hazardous chemicals, and also deeply regretted it afterward.
Also when Peter did it it was shocking and out of character. When Hank did it, it was basically just a slightly more exaggerated version of how he normally acts towards women.
I need "Spider-man commited war crimes" on a shirt or something holy shit

What
5:19 So Hank Pym couldn't catch a break for doing this yet the Marvel hero who's entire thing is not catching a break got away with it in the eyes of the fandom? WAT. Also you're definitely going to have to cover the clone saga eventually because when diving into Spidey's past like this, it's going to just keep coming up.
As far as i'm aware, the difference here is that Peter regreted it imediatly and Hank didn't.
Pretty sure Hank's case didn't help the fact that he was making a robot to fight Avengers only for him to save a day and his punch was after Wasp asked him to stop.
@@maxbeast8834 plus he just found out he was a clone which was fake, I mean there baby was kidnapped by Norman Osborn

He has a league of legends account and has said he watched dragon ball Z after wade tried to make a dbz joke
While a lot of these are pretty understandable it’s still surprising how many crimes he actually commited.
This JJJ cosplay was awesome!
Remember that time that spidey went to savage lands and had put like some monster in quicksand leaving him to die
If you're talking about Gog, then he survived. He got shrunk down and is now Peter Parker's pet (yes, really).
Fun fact: ms lion is actually a dude, aunt May is not okay and Peter sometimes knows it

I love how you keep cosplaying someone in your video just because you can. It keep your video interesting.
I am still waiting a video about your favourite comic artist/writer
Drake you do a great JJ cosplay, holy crap.
One of my favorites was when Peter was arrested in the late 60s, i think he was injured following a fight with the Vulture or something? Not important. But the important thing was, Spider-Man, under due process, was in jail.
Cpt. Stacy managed to keep the cops from removing Peter's mask as long as he was still injured, but when Peter woke up in the med bay of the prison, a riot/escape attempt happens, involving Cpt. Stacy, one of his best friends as Spidey, to be taken as hostage.
Peter manages to actually help the perps escape until they got close to the exit when he does a bunch of stealth takedowns to trap them and escapes himself.
This was in amz spider-man 65.
While it was a crummy thing to do, Peter hitting Mary Jane wasn't the same as Hank hitting Janet. Peter was in a crazed state attacking Ben when MJ tried to stop him. He immediately regretted it and called himself out on it the next issue. Hank on the other hand did it because Janet was trying to convince him to not go through with his plan to unleash a robot to attack his teammates so he could look like a hero defeating it. He didn't show any remorse until after his plan fell apart (Janet had to come and save the day) and was arrested.
Yes, it was never the intent to be on purpose and was a result of miscommunication between the writer and the artist. Should people (and writers) move on from that event? Yes. Was Hank suffering mentally at the time? Yes. Should Spider-Man (and Reed) be used as an excuse? No.
I know you were going for JJ Jamison, it just makes me think of groucho marks.
Honestly, all the trespassing and unintended property damage could be done away with by The Good Samitan laws. For the uninitiated, basically, it means that a person cannot be sued or charged with a crime so long as they: act with an intent to aid, are not intentionally reckless, and they themselves are not the cause of the incident in question.
Why is it that every other character let's hit they're lover got off the hook, except for Hank Pym
Yeah, also hank Pym was in a very bad mental state then too, give him a break.
Because Peter, who was married to MJ for several years during the time Clone Saga took place, sacrificed his life multiple times for her, cherished her and often mentioned how much he loves her. Then you see him smacking her in one of the most convoluted, shitty and hated Spider-Man stories of all time, what's the conclusion?
Bad writing.
@@Username-wj8pz it's not just Spidey too, Batman fought catwoman all the time lol
@@GalazyProductions but that's different. MJ was Peter's wife, I don't follow Batman at all, but isn't Catwoman one of his Batman love interest and not Bruce Wayne?

Ok that last one really shocked me
Oddly enough, this is the second time I saw a UA-camr portray J. Jonah Jameson, the first being Stupendium’s great PS4 Spider-Man video.
This video just made him much more relatable and real.
Spiderman stole more than one ambulance in his career
He chopped Deadpool's head off in a fit of anger. DP didn't die for obvious reasons but that's still murder/attempted murder by the general laws of reality
He also faked photos that made Jameson believe his son is Spider-Man to make people stop being marked for murder by pretending to be Spider-Man in Marvel Knights Spider-Man.

Spider-Man also walked into the hospital once carrying a box of cigars and lighting one for hospitalized Jonah Jameson to give him shocking news that gave him a heart attack.
I love the costume. How did you resist doing the whole video in-character as JJJ?
Truly, Spider-Man is not only a menace to the entire city, but a menace to the entire country.
You missed a kill- during JMS's run, when Spider-Man and Captain America have to protect Doctor Doom from Latverian revolutionaries at an airport, he redirects a rocket out of a skylight, where it hits and presumably kills two Latverian revolutionaries.
