I did encounter that issue since my PC swapped to Win11 and i forgot that's not on by default. Though i appear to still be struggling with getting mods to actually enable, I at least have ruled that issue out.

I was playing Fallout NV when I discovered Gopher on UA-cam and I had never heard of modding. I watched his How-To videos for several days and went from only playing straight out of the box vanilla games to modding until my PC was about to burst at the seams! This was 12 years ago. What a wild ride and still going! 😃
I was a bit more early, because for me it all started with Gopher's LP of Fallout 3, and me starting to mod that game. If I remember well there was not even a really reliable and decent mod manager at that time, so it was all done "by hand". We come a looong way since then, but Gopher was my constant and reliable source of knowledge through all those years... 🙂

Im personally enjoying starfield massively however the community response is so weird to me. Everybody seems to either absolutely love the game or despise it with a passion, I havent seen many people saying that its decent or alright.
I remember I discovered you in like 2012 or 2013 gopher and I bought Skyrim as my first Bethesda game. but I wanted to mod the game before I play, but I ended up taking so much time modding the game that i never played it. I learned my lesson now. I'm playing starfield vanilla before I touch mods.😂 I get overwhelmed with mods and keep adding more and more before i feel like im ready to start my playthrough.

That movie messed with my head for about two weeks when I saw it as a kid (nobody read the DVD back when we rended it, lol. 'hey, this has a space ship on the cover, it's fine')

This game is a modder's country, just like a software that a community handles where anyone can bring in some input is always better than the creator's. Blender is one example, and Autodesk struggles to keep up with it. Starfield has over 1000 planets and batallion of modders standing at the ready to fill them up with content. In the end no game will be able to rival it. Let the fun begin.

Hi. Manage to install Vortex but don't know where to assign the Manual Set Location part. I went to C drive My games and Starfield but only have Data and Save option not the Content folder. Now I'm stuck as I cant find that. You know any solution?
It's weird and exciting to think we're about to see a whole new generation of modders. First game I ever modded was C&C: Red alert, way back, and the first game I made mods for was C&C: Red Alert 2 + Yuri's Revenge. left PC gaming and then came back in 2012 shortly after when Skyrim released (11/11/11). It never ceases to amaze me what mods people make, and I look forward to makeing a few of my own for Skyfield - I mean - Starim, dammit... Starfield.
First time ever modding for me. Never really felt as if I needed them before, and when I was younger I was on 360 so really couldn't do things like this. Excited to change things and personalize the game now that I am into NG+

At one point in playing skurim I had 256 mods installed, not all of them had an esm/esp to activate in my mod manager
