I've encountered them many times when I lived in a country area, and they've always been pretty chill. Also, sorry. I have a problem with being long-winded. Lol
Just remember: gloves, gloves, gloves. Mice aren't as bad as rats or bats, but they can host the ticks that cause Lyme disease. And wash your hands thoroughly afterwards whenever handling wild mice. If you do happen to get bit, immediately clean the wound and apply antibiotic ointment.
Hantevirus can kill you. Wear a n95 mask or respirator when sweeping up rat or mouse droppings. Don't touch your eyes or nose or mouth after handling their droppings. Leptospirosis is a disease that will cause night sweats, it is a rheumatic fever like symptoms. But I also like the story of the mouse whom took the thorn out of the Lions paw, and the Lion did not eat the mouse, because they were friends.
There is no such thing as just One Mouse in your house. Mice then start multiplying even faster as you added yet another breeding female. Pretty soon a mouse might die underneath your dishwasher or in gnawed sections in your walls.
People who say they would not kill a mouse have clearly never struggled with these rodents. I used to have doubts about killing them, but I was just a dumb teenager back then. Mice will shit in your food, keep you awake at night, piss everywhere and make your house smell worse than a public toilet. Not to mention the fact that they won't let you sleep at night and will notoriously keep you awake. You can also get serious diseases from eating the contaminated food, and since their excrements are barely noticable, you might get poisoned and possibly die if your immune system is weak. We used to have a cat to keep them in check, but since my neighbours killed her in 2021, 2022 winter was hell. We eventually got rid of them by using conventional traps, and i shot a few with a gun myself. Mice are common rodents, and they should be treated as such. I deal with them the same way I deal with cockroaches - stomp on them until nothing but a bloody spot is left.
That mouse now owes its life to you. In your darkest hour, when everything seems lost, the mouse will arrive like a knight in shining armor to pay back its debt to you.
It knows nothing if his kindness. It will chew through his boxes of macaroni and cheese leaving droppings everywhere it goes only to make a nest in his oven making it unusable because it smells like urine and mouse feces. Giving birth to litter after litter of babies, possibly spreading disease. Where’s the thank you in that? Kill it and be done. Or if you must, catch it and cart it off somewhere far away.
They're just beings trying to survive like any other. A bad reputation has been put on them, like what Adolf done to the Jewish, except mice can pose a little threat and everyone believes this nonsense. But they're just mice, your own kind will harm you far more in a variety of ways compared to a mouse
All creatures matter, but some are destructive. When you set it free, do it at least a mile away from your house, or it'll be back in no time. Possibly with friends. Because it will remember the house with the food that it already knows how to enter.
Remember if you, another person, or an animal is experiencing hypothermia, don't immediately put them in super warm water or anything. The dramatic shift in temperature could shock them and kill them. Start with room temp to slightly above room temp and slowly work your way up until they're no longer hypothermic. Same concept for hyperthermia. Don't put them in extremely cold water if they're suffering a heat stroke. You could send them into shock and kill them.. Start with room temp to slightly below and slowly cool them down from there until they're no longer hyperthermic.. However if it's a heatstroke, please call an ambulance if it's a person, or see a vet asap if it's an animal. Heatstrokes can be far more damaging than being hypothermic assuming you don't have frostbite or anything
You're right if you're freezing you warm up slow But correction on overheating You need to cool down FAST Icepacks to neck, groin and armpits, Misting with water and blowing air or using a fan, cold water bath or shower
there's no such thing as "super warm water"... that would be called "hot water. Warm water is just slightly above room temperature water of like 75-100F (room temp or so up around body temp)
Get a smallish outside dog. My shiba loves hunting them to the point that we let a couple of friends have him for a week to clear out their yards. I hear daschunds are also great for it

@@Chiller-pc1dvWhere they can be eaten alive form some other animal… you see, nature is inhumane too, the only difference is that it does it to stay alive. There was an old couple who lived across from me and every morning the husband would take the mouse traps outside and release them, and the second he turned around... they would run back into his house. The mice knew a sucker when they saw one. It was basically a bed and breakfast for mice. I think they went into the traps at night to catch a meal, and a safe place to sleep. It cracked me up every time I saw him dumping the trap. Old people are awesome.
Yeah bro, just welcome them into your house with open arms. Mice have great memory, she will tell all her mice homies how welcoming you are and move in rent free.
In this situation I’d just drive out far away from my house and let them go. But I’m lucky enough to live near a big forest so it’s an everyday drive for me. If I took the trouble of saving them, I might as well give them a vacation too.
@susan ivy it's extremely risky because ingesting small tapeworms that were inside meat isn't neccearily that dangerous as they will most likely end up in your intestines, where they are just reguladly dangerous. Tapeworm eggs on the other hand, can end up in many places throughout the body and can lead to tapeworms in other parts of your body which can be deadly.

Just make sure that you don't prioritize the safety of the mouse over your own health or the health of others. These animals can carry nasty diseases and cause other problems such as electrical shortages from chewed wires and ruin food. Make sure you know what you're doing and that you don't accidentally lose them. You shouldn't normally keep them as pets.
And it's for a good reason they're treated like non-living things, because they can carry diseases, and other filth. If I catch a mouse I let the cat take it, dead or alive.

In case of hypothermia in people, blankets blankets and blankets, no water
