Wanjo is for tourists imho... 3:00 Tako Japanese Flour Balls with filling. That thing on top is Dry Bonito fish... Nasi Ambeng is an Indonesian Javanese dish... Rice with all sorts of Indonesian Javanese sides... Nasi Kerabu is indeed a Rice Salad which comes from Kelantan... to eat you have to mix and toss the rice together before eating... NesLo = Necafe + Milo You've got a good guide...
The next time, in all Restaurants (and most stalls) u can ask for some items (dishes) to be put in separate plate so that it wont get mixed with the main dish or the plain rice. With this u get to taste the items separately on its own and then decide which is best to go with the others although this isnt what the locals normally do unless they ordered so many dishes in one go. The rules of mixing everything on the plate ONLY works if u know and understand what the taste is going to be like. My advice if u hv to put everything on one plate try to put each item at the side of the rice even the gravy.
Both of you are beautiful 😍..its really enjoyfull to watch your videos exploring malaysian cuisine's..i hope you will love it...last but not least please try DURIAN before you going back to UK 👌😁
Since your base in KL, I suggest you go to KL suburbs, take MRT to One Utama, then try eat at Ikea in Damansara. Or can take LRT to USJ then change to Sunway BRT to Sunway Pyramid and also there have water theme park, Sunway Lagoon. Also can take LRT go to Wangsa Maju or Taman Melati for more local vibes who live in low cost apartment/flat.
FYI, bananas if they are the bigger ones or the one sliced they taste a bit sour and suitable to dip in the kicap (soy sauce) or sugarBut if the bananas are small then they are sweet, usually we don't dip those in either. For the dough balls it's called takoyaki, a modified version of a Japanese dish called by the same name. And the flakes are bonito (a kind of fish) flakes. Also if its Friday expect most if not all of the stalls/restaurants to be closed from 12.30 to 2.30 on Friday for the Friday prayers, especially the ones that are managed by men and have mostly men staffs. Another day to watch out for is Monday.
This is actually the video (but I watched it at Alana channel) that Im being introduce to Skye.. Maybe u guys can do a double date. But I undrstnd Alana bf a bit camera shy.

@@keangwooichoo6138 I don't mean to say that it is wrong, it just that we don't use the term to call it as tomato sauce. When you say the word ketchup which sounds similar to kicap, the first thing comes to malaysians' mind is soy sauce not tomato sauce.

I don't think Malaysia is unsafe . As any tourists traveling abroad to any country should take certain precautions . To be safe , there are certain fundamental tourist rules that tourist should keep in mind going any where arounda the world . These apply to Malaysia as well. For first time visitors , it is recommended to use tourist agencies. It is most expensive way but the safest approach. Don't pick unknown , cheaper ones . Tourist maps are still very handy and useful to keep and you can get the latest ones at the airport. Familiarice yourself with Malaysia . Make sure your hotel is near a railway station . Do not expose yourself as a wealthy tourist. Finaly , if you have a local friend , nothing like . !!!!!!
