Great video. You've convinced me. I wasn't a fan of the older leather bc it was rather delicate and I wore out the corners so quickly. But now that they've changed the leather, I'm back in

I was laughing at she is anti bag. My daughter is too, she carries a wristlet and everything else in her hand. I tried to give her the cutest crossbody bag today and she said no lol. So nice of you to give it to your daughter and great you got a new one for you!

Hi Rachael, thanks so much for the comparison! I'm thinking of getting one preloved but am also wary of the different versions. The bags usually have a tag inside with a serial number on them, is this something you can share for both bags (just the first 4 digits)? Thank you! :)

Yes it’s a more robust leather - you get a more substantial bag but you lose the buttery feel
Great video as always! Do you find it a bit of a hassle getting in and out of this bag (moving handles, flap, zipper)? I have the small black Longchamp City crossbody and need something similar in navy (the City is so easy but I don't buy doubles).
No it’s fine I don’t always close the zip AND button if I’m in and out of my bag and the zip is really smooth too
I believe that your first little bag was made from Metis leather. I have the same in navy. Longchamp leather Le Pliage bags are no longer made from Metis leather as it has been phased out. They now make them from cowhide.
I believe that you are correct on the leather.

Does it scratch easily? Can I wear it in the rain?
I don’t know, haven’t got it wet before and like any soft leather without much grain I guess it can scratch but I just use things and enjoy them it adds character
