This design with a mini leather flap, their leather color signature, nylon sporty chic is so unique and practical as it is water resistant ( hell yeah it has survived the test of Dutch weather!) A brand that never gets boring to me!

I love my longchamp backpack! It’s so light and packs quiet a bit. It’s also a great option to throw in your travel suitcase when you need a ‘back up’ bag.

I love longchamp! I have both styles but I gravitate towards the tote/messenger style because it’s easier to see and access all my necessities. The backpack I use for hiking or travel when I need a jacket, water bottle and I put my pochette accessories with all my loose ends. I think for work maybe the backpack will not work as well because it’s harder to organize for ease of use. But honestly you can’t go wrong with longchamp. Thanks for sharing!

Lauren always about that new new! While I think the energy tote is cute and the colour is perfect for spring and summer, I feel like the two tone will be harder to match with outfits. I personally prefer how streamlined the monochromatic black backpack looks.

I would return both, and look for a larger sized version of either, but probably back pack for your back problems.

I love my long champ tote and use it for work all the time! See if the large size option would be better to have a bit more room so it doesn’t feel so tight. Another option for a backpack is Matt&Natt that has a vegan leather backpack that looks super chic!! 💕☺️

I have one of the original LePliage totes and I love it. I bought one for myself and one for my mom for our trip to England four years ago. Those are the folding ones and it fit in our luggage so easily. We used them for day trips on our vacation. They’re so light and easy to carry. I love this Energy bag. Such a pretty colour and I love the black leather with it.💖

I love Longchamp bags. They are very well made and practical. You would be able to fit a laptop in the medium tote. The medium tote fits a lot. I do have it from last season with detachable strap and it's great! ☺

Hey Lauren! I love love love Longchamp! They’re incredibly durable and practical! I have the black Le Pliage Neo with the adjustable and removable crossbody strap in the medium and also the black Le Pliage Club backpack. I use them as diaper bags as they are not only lightweight but are very easy to clean and they surprisingly hold so much stuff! You can never go wrong with Longchamp!
I really wish the straps on the energy tote were removable! I missed out on the neo line!

Hi🌸 I have several Longchamp tote and I love them . I would send them both back and get a larger size. You may even be able to get the neo version with the removable strap on other websites. I've seen some on Nordstrom's rack, Bloomingdale's, possibly Saks off fifth. The colors will be limited though since they are discontinued.

I love my long champ pliage lgp small for my everyday work bag, easy to grab my wallet in and out, or lipgloss when I’m out, I have the backpack too but not as convenient especially taking things in and out, have to kinda dig to get the items at the very bottom
Most people I've seen using Longchamp as a work bag seem to use the medium or large size. I've got the Marc Jacobs small Tote recently & used it as handluggage on a recent flight, instead of my Longchamp Le Pliage large tote. More room in the Le Pliage & it's much lighter. Finding the weight if the Marc Jacobs a problem as I have neck, shoulder & upper back chronic pain & arthritis. I hope your back pain eases.

J'adore Longchamp! I love both styles, but for teaching, I would gravate towards the backpack, but for my everyday bag I would go for the shoulder bag. Either way you're getting a stunning bag. Thanks for the comparison!

Yours is the first up-close review that I've found of the Energy line. That hawthorn color is luscious and the zipper is so interesting. But I think you need the next bigger size! Like you, I wish the longer strap was removable. But so many Le Pliage bags have no long strap at all.
Today I just received a Le Pliage Club backpack in "chalk," a beautiful pinky light grey color. Longchamp does so well with colors and quality. Thank you for a nice review.

I really love that new energy tote! I had the neo and in the long handle and loved it! Definitely get an organizer. I would recommend you use the tote for work and the backpack for travel and vacation.

love Longchamp, still have bags from when in school like 30 years ago, lol! I use mine all of the time and love that Longchamp will repair for free if any tears happen - based on your back issues, imo, would try to find a Neo with old strap as it's padded, looks thicker (can't say for sure as don't have any of these new models) and can change straps - love the lighter colors too but they do get dirty to point it's obvious, with a dark grey or black much better for obvious reasons - have all styles from leather bags to pliage, Neo to backpack and would absolutely go with an old Neo w/strap (they are still on some websites and even pre-loved has some brand new) and perhaps in medium size so you have extra room - hope this helps! xx

Hi, I would return both for a bigger size and would consider carrying less. Maybe you could take a few things out of your makeup bag and catch all pouch? Just a suggestion. Also, I just grabbed a neo small tote from Bloomingdale’s. They may have some left.
I do carry quite a bit of stuff! I always get anxious about not having things, but you are totally right...I probably don't need 5 lip balms haha! I ended up keeping the backpack and it's been working well so far!
I have so many Longchamp bags (maybe 7) and they are seriously underrated. I am glad though that not that many people talk about the brand on UA-cam because I want their prices to stay low and competitive 😅😂

I think you should keep both the bag and the backpack so you can keep some of your items in one bag and the rest in your backpack. I like to take my small backpack and a large satchel purse with me to work and school I do not like having everything in one bag I like to keep things balance so it can be easy for me to carry my stuff 💗💗💗

Is the rubber zip still strong after one year use? Appreciate your update.
I bought my 1st long champ last year. It was the small le pliage in gray. I loved it so much that I bought another one in a large size in the color sand & one more small in all black. They’re so easy to take care of. I got my sand colored one dirty & all I did was wipe it with a damp cloth & it came right out. Plus they’re so easy to store since they fold up into tiny squares. The large size is perfect for traveling because it’s lightweight so you can fill it up with snacks , a sweater , spare chargers or anything else you might need & it’ll still be comfortable to carry. Since it’s a soft material, you can stuff it under the seat in the airplane and not worry about it getting ruined.
I’ve seen a lot of people using them as travel bags, I think I’ll need to invest in a larger tote! Like you mentioned! I do like that it’s soft, perfect for throwing under the airplane seat, but also comfy on the shoulder. ☺️

Keep the black backpack. I love my le pliage tote in my school days but I think it’ll be equally heavy like the regular totes that you have. The backpack is my go to travel bag and it’s the perfect size for me. Maybe you should try a beis backpack!!!?????

Backpack is more functional--wish it had come in Hawthorne color which would make it less dirtier vs the tote. Using tote in Hawthorne will pick up dirt, especially on the corners of the bag. If you prefer the energy tote, maybe a darker color would be better to mask the dirt/stains.
Ohhh that's true. I didn't think about that. But seeing little stains and having to clean the tote would really bother me haha.
@@LValiquette I have the original Le Pliage in Bilberry (purple color) which is about 11 years old now and the current Neo line in navy with the removable strap which is about 3 years old. Both are the medium size.
Both are very sturdy. I've thrown the Le Pliage one in the washer multiple times. The corners are starting to fray now but using a bag organizer will help with shape and fraying.
Both are truly durable and waterproof. I like the Neo line when I have laptop and paperwork to carry cuz it's better for my back, neck and shoulders (as you've alluded to).
I think you need a slightly bigger one. The medium is significantly larger. I have the neo and it’s very comfortable with the strap.

I had the latest le pliage NEO. Loved the removal wide strap, but the material.. corner-wear ony after few months.. sold it half price. But this line kinda got me.. it’s a different thicker material, holds shape. But the strap!! Wish I could cut it off or something)))

Thank you so much for posting this! I have the small neo and was so upset when I found out it was discontinued (I wanted to get the medium size). But there was no reviews on the new energy line. So this has given me a bit of insight.
Oh and for pure accessibility, i say get the tote. Just get the medium! But it still weighs on your shoulders if you’re carrying a lot for a long time. In which case stick with the backpack to save your shoulders! Okay. I don’t think I helped 😂

I like the color as well and I saw it today in person at Nordstroms. Its beautiful! Delicate, feminine and sturdy but I don't know how I would clean it when it gets dirty or stained.

Honestly, it seems that you are not in love with both. I would return both and look into other brands for better backpack options that suit your needs. Maybe brands like Lululemon or Tumi? Love your videos ❤️

I used the neo as a diaper bag and my daughter is now 8, it still looks brand new. Now that I carry less stuff though, it’s a bit too big.

I think for your back issues, invest in a laptop backpack with padded straps - I know it’s not as cute but honestly it’s so worth it in the long run. Bellroy does some cute backpacks!

The Longchamp backpacks are great but doesn’t fit much. The totes and crossbody ones are better options for daily use. Get yourself a Neo in crossbody medium if you can.

I actually decided to keep the backpack instead! I really like the energy tote, but I think I need a bigger size for work. I think if it's for everyday use the XS is so cute and can hold your basics for daily errands. But for work, it's too small.

will recommend you to take medium size bags from this brand if you will like to put laptops. in General their bags are quite spacious despite the size you see! If you have more tote bag will suggest you to take the backpack instead.

Just received the hawthorne small tote today after seeing this video. Loved the color- I wish the handles were slightly bigger so I could use it over the shoulder as well as crossbody- but I’ll see if I like it.

Im using FJALLRAVEN KANKEN. It's decent enough for works well as a carry-on, since it's basically weightless and you can fit a bunch of stuff in it. It is also a laptop bag, you can place your water bottle on the side pocket and also your umbrella. This bag is created to solve some of the back problems.
I actually have the Kanken backpack! I loved it, but then found it began to ruin some of my jackets (my tna super puff) and make it pill and snag on the back.

I think you need to reduce the amount of things you carry. I had the same problem and editing my the things I carried really helped.
