My sister found this recipe a bit over ten years ago and baked these for one of my school functions. It's been a family favorite ever since and it's always one of the most impressive desserts at any event. People are always asking if we will bring them. My sister is teaching her children and I will teach mine. Long story short: these brownies have had a deep and long lasting impact on our family 😊😇🤗
I learned baking from watching your videos. I watched so many videos on you tube before that and they all failed. Your techniques are so accurate. Now I'm able to bake right way for my kids and they really love your recepies. Thanks☺
One of the best baking channels. Tried several recipes and they never failed me. Appreciate that measurements are in grams :) these brownies are definitely on my to do list ! And am sure they will turn out amazing. Wish you all the best !
I love your recipes, follow you since years, i love the fact that you give the measurements in grams too, cause i’m italian and i have difficulty to understand the american recipes .
Oh Joy!! These look heavenly!! Thank you so much for all you share. You are such a wonderful source for baking info. (And you look so cute with your apron and pot matching!!) Thanks for the inspiration!! Love, Mary ❤️😋❤️
What I like about your videos, is that there is a message in every sentence of yours that teaches us the basics of baking and I have learnt so much just by listening carefully and intently to everything you say. You make everything sound so easy and simple and your lovely disposition is a heart-winner. Thank you Stephanie ❤
Wow! Recently started following your channel...love how you make it sound so easy. Love that your counter is super clean- a plate to hold the soiled whisk and spatula! Love that you don't waste anything- scrape clean bowl, spatula each time; even with your finger when you cleaned the ganache off the spatula in the end!
Perfect timing. Was just thinking about looking up a good brownie recipe yesterday! This is an easy recipe that’s not too much brownie. It’s a great size for the family to have a treat. It’s not always practical to make the larger recipes that call for a pound of butter, tons of chocolate & a huge baking sheet. Sometimes you just wanna whip up a quick, but rich & delicious, easy brownie that doesn’t call for so much of the ingredients. This fits the bill! The ganache is a great way to make it next level w/out much fuss. Thanks again my dear!
Just made these (minus the ganache) and they are FANTASTIC! Thank you so much for the recipe, it’s replacing every brownie recipe I’ve ever made from now on! ❤️❤️
I'm a long time fan and I can't believe you nearly have 1millon subscribers! This was the first cooking channel I subscribed to years ago and I've always wished more people were exposed to these wonderful videos.
Nanase B. Laura Vitale of Laura in the Kitchen has 3 million subscribers so I think there are plenty of people who are watching these videos. I personally can't handle watching Laura for very long. I prefer Stephanie
Stephanie! Congratulations on being so close to a million subscribers!! I've been watching you for many years and I love your channel! Love from San Antonio, TX
These look like a fancy thicker version of the little debbie brownies which I love. They look amazing and I can't wait to try them. Big brand often used fake filler ingredients. These don't. Thinking about them just makes my mouth water.
Walt R. Buck The texture is very similar. Only these are better especially the ganache frosting. I just made them for the second time. I slightly modified the recipe. Switching out 1/4 cup of flour for 1/4 cup cocoa powder. 1/4 cup granulated sugar for 1/4 cup brown sugar. The addition of the cocoa powder made them even better.
Since we're confined to our homes, I started watching UA-cam. Love your recipes, haven't had luck with another site. Made these tonight, they were awesome. I'm glad you give the ingredients in cups, etc. Thank you
hi stef.where I live brownies were a very rare treat. yet I did not like the frosted ones and cut or discarded the top part .later in life someone actually made brownies and icing just like you instead of the commercial junk for me and I was sold. all the difference. thank you.
I'm binge watching all yr videos. I think yr videos r perfect in the sense that you give specific measurements and the oven settings too. That's what we amateurs, people who r new to baking want. And yr recipes r very homely and to die for. Tq😘.
Wish you all the best I love watching your videos simple well explained and most important your measures metric yeah I live in Brussels so keep up the good work wish you another million👏👏👏👍👍
I have been watching you for long time and i notice your kitchen now is different, but yoiur the best. I watch a lot of baking and cooking in youtube but your one of the best. Thank you for sharing your recipe.
Hi chef, its look very awesome i can't wait to try and I don't have chocolate disc so I am about to use chocolate baar mode so plzz tell me how much suger should be containt? plz reply thankyou so much...👍👍
OMG I think another yummy recipe of yours is going into the box. These look amazing! No wonder you have so many subscribers! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 I don’t understand how anyone can give this a thumbs down. Whaaaat?
That is a lovely recipe. I do have 75% cocoa couverture chocolate . Will try with it. Have been wondering for long how to use it up as it is too bitter. Thank ypu gor this recipe.
You can also use it to make a chocolate bar or semi sweet chocolate. I don't want to put links on another person's channel so just search for low carb chocolate bar and just use sugar instead of the alternative sweeteners. You can then dice them up and use asn chocolate chunks in cookies, muffins, etc. and/or melt and make chocolate decorations, and/or dip fruit in it.
reshma nair especially when it comes to cookies, there's tons of sugar in the dough already and using a bit if bitter chocolate balances it out quite nicely imo! if you're worried about it being too bitter for your taste, just put in a bit and use milk chocolate for the rest :) I only use 80%chocolate in all my cookies and muffins, but I also love to eat it "like that"
Looks amazing, my favorite dessert is brownies and I grew up eating my mom's brownies which she used believe it or not Jiffy brownie mix and Jiffy chocolate cake frosting, still love them today thank you for sharing your wonderful recipe
I think that looks fabulous! Joanne! I noticed that your countertop is the normal height. Having said that - I put my bowl in the sink and whisker stir or beat whatever I need to do and it lessens the strain on my arm
Yum! My brownie recipe is very similar to yours. I love how easy the recipe is and how fudgy the brownies are. I think I'll add the ganache to my next batch :)
Love ur brownie recipes..ur cocoa brownie, chocolate brownie and no bake biscuit cake are my go-to-recipes...but i m a vegetarian so i dont add eggs...i use milkmaid and curd instead..and they come out just yummm...ma'm do u have any suggestion for eggless version of cakes and brownies ?...💕..all d love frm India..💕🙋
Chocolate Ganache is made with cream and chocolate. If you wanted to use unsweetened cocoa powder that would be a chocolate glaze. I'm sorry, but don't have a recipe for that.
Superb recipe. What if i have to make a big batch of brownies for a kids birthday party? Should i multiply the exact recipe with 3 times. I need about 50 brownies. Help me plz Stephanie.
Mrs. Stephanie Jaworski, you are one Awesome Lady! Having my wife whom I have been married to for over 25 years, and having two Beautiful Daughter's who will be 25, and 24, is a true blessing. Your Recipes are something I can have fun making for them, and letting them bake as well. Some men have this idea, baking is just a woman thing! But I always loved baking, and experimenting with new recipes; and do my girls. One again! Thank you for your Kindness, and Sharing your Delicious Recipes with us.😊
Stephanie, can these brownies be frozen with the ganache? If so, is it best to defrost them slowly in the frig or just put out on the counter? Thank you so much!
If you want to use semisweet or bittersweet chocolate then I would make the Brownie Recipe instead. You could then cover them with the Chocolate Ganache. Here is the link www.joyofbaking.com/brownies.html
I have a quick question for you, was curious, is your kitchen your personal kitchen or is it just for your videos? Thank you always for sharing your very wonderful wonderful Baker

Species710 Thank you so much for your suggestion.
Species710 if I melt or chop and use it in cookies or muffins won't they taste very bitter?

Hi...amazing brownies. I wanted to know if we can make chocolate ganache with cocoa powder and milk. Could you please guide me on this.
