    Laura, please buy Sophie some clippers They aren't expensive. Get them at TSC. They are more safe than scissors for clipping bridle paths.

    I wish Sophie would learn how to groom tails and manes this really makes me cry. Someone to brush her hair like she does the equines. And cut her hair every time. It so sad. Horses have feelings too.
    God Bless.

    Do your horses see the equine dentist to have there teeth floated especially the older ones ???

    • @DayByDayVlogs
      @DayByDayVlogs  Місяць тому

      Sure do! Every year when they get their vaccines! We used to only do the ones that the vet said needed it but now they recommend it for every horse every year. We used to do more hand floats as well but now they recommend power floats more. I think we have lots of pics in pur social media over the years with our horses heads in slings lol.

    Why don't you show Sophie trying the horses? It was great to watch when Gabby tried Chino and Johnny. Your title suggests we will be seeing the tryout and then it's yet another disappointment! ☹

    Your "riding instructor/horse trainer is just milking his "cash cow" by not disagreeing w/anything you want, as you do drive business away from him due to your "Diva Ways" Laura.
    And probably cuz Brian doesn't have the education background nor of completing the educational studies required to be an instructor and/or horse trainer.
    You need to backoff & take a good hard look at the obvious LACK OF PROGRESS for the past 5yrs+ in Sofie's equitation & balance on a horse. Which is covered in Basic Horsemanship or Horses 101..😂
    AND Instead of addressing Sophie's problems, you blame the horses & shower Sophie w/other animals to take care of. Which is one way to keep Sophie at home vs going off to school & making lots of "real life, not just having online" friends to making many real-life experiences & memories vs just having mom.
    But yes, proper, professional horse trainers to the instructors that teach one to ride & take care of their horse(s)..
    Thus, IF one is legit, they are registered/licensed/certified in Canada as either a trainer or instructor to both.
    Btw your "vlog" isn't well accepted outside of YT either.. YT is very calm compared to most chat sites like Reddit, etc.

    Real quick, does don’t normally have singles ever (not even their first kidding). I have a doe that had triplets her first and second freshening, my new does dam has had quads every kidding (6 kiddings total) It depends on how fertile the doe is. The doe does NOT determine the sex of the kids, the BUCK does. You used a very Bucky buck, meaning he throws a lot of bucks. Absolutely a buck I would not use again. Always check kids teats, especially if they come from sets with multiple doelings. How old is she? Bottle fed?
    You can show kids as soon as they’re born if you want, there is no age restriction. As long as they’re under 2 years they can be shown dry. If she’s a bottle baby that would make more sense, no ethical dairy goat breeder will dam raise for more than 12 weeks unless they want a destroyed udder. Bottle babies need minimum 6 months tho for proper growth. I don’t get your whole 20 lb thing, THERE IS NO WEIGHT THING. Make sure to get pictures of dams udder, sired dams udder, and any more you can get that’s related to her. Make sure dam and sire are under 23 inches tall. Breeder might be keeping her longer so she can show her a time or two. We start shows in April-May till November. Since she’s a show doe don’t breed her till at least a year old for proper growth, I’d breed her next fall. Your gonna wanna breed for kids in February-March so they can still be shown.

    I seriously don’t understand the issue you guys have with Sophie trimming HER horses tail.. unless she is cutting it above the horses hocks it’s not an issue. Give her a break. There are draft horses with docked tails (not that I condone that) but they manage. I have raised Appaloosas and some of them just don’t grow long or thick tails and they manage just fine!
    The bush with the yellow flowers is called Forsythia. They are easy to propagate if you want more.. I have a complete hedge of it on the side of my property. Cut cut some branches and you can either dip in root hormone and plant directly in the soil or put the cuttings in water to root. They also produce ‘suckers’ or baby plants near the base of the plant that you call pull up or dig up and replant

    • @DayByDayVlogs
      @DayByDayVlogs  Місяць тому

      I'm just teasing her about her horses tails. Lol. I like it longer. She likes it shorter! The yellow flowers we have are daffodils and are a bulb plant! I would love a hedge of yellow flowers! That makes me want to garden right now hah
