I agree 100%. I never understood why van/skoolie/bus builders always insist on framing the floors.

Thanks for the explanation about not framing the floor, I was thinking I wouldn't but everyone else does, so I was really doubting myself. It is nice to see my thoughts are correct. Have a great day!

I like the way you’re commenting and filming. Thanks. It’s been helpful already. (I’ll be building a Promaster this coming spring)

So basically, you’re building a protective faraday cage first with all the electrics external to the living space? This is incredibly interesting.
And yes, you’re absolutely correct about the floor framing issue in a vehicle that already has a solid floor. However, in a tiny structure built on a trailer frame...frame it!🥰 The aluminum taping is gorgeous and it’s not for when you spill water, it’s a guard against a food liquid like milk or beer - which is a lovely nourishment base for molds.😷

True, a tiny house built on a trailer frame is a different animal

Thank you. I love your brain and really enjoy your build videos. Your explanations, insights. I didn’t frame my floor either. I meant to stagger the seams but when I woke up in the morning I forgot. Oops. It’s all good 😃. I watched your personal build and it got me started on my build. Thanks for all you do.

Keeping the A/C wires, etc in metal conduit and boxes will help.

That's one way to do it. Another is to use shielded cable

Hey we're thinking of getting a step with a GVWR of 16000 (unsure of curb weight). I was wondering how much lumber (plywood ect) went into this build approximately?

I did the build a couple of years ago and really can't remember how much we bought. I think the first trip to get plywood I picked up 16 sheets for floor and walls
