Do you think Reilly rhythms is better then ? I've noticed its popular with ppl who are extremely good at drawing portraits.
We teach the Reilly method (Mark Westermoe) as well. The Reilly rhythms have their own advantages and disadvantages and they can be used in conjunction with planes. I don’t use them or teach them personally but if they work for you-go for it. No rules just tools! -Joshua
I'd like to have a more indepth explanation of how to approach drawing the head in the way Joshua Jacobo is thinking about it now. Actually I#m really curious to know more about that.
Would love a deeper expalanation with examples of the errors that arise from the planar approach.

You mentioned how the planar head isn't 3D accurate or used by sculptors. Could you explore this in more detail? I believe I've seen planes used by clay sculptors before, is this because of the medium?
It would be a great education resource to see the comparison between a planar head vs how you prefer to construct the head.
Where the pitfalls lie (with visual example) and why it's important to be aware of this knowledge.
