I'm glad I'm not the only one that just throws the weeds back down on the ground. If there's no seeds taking them out of the garden is just removing nutrients for no reason.
@@undefinednull5749if you’re weeding before the plant sets seeds. If the plant has already produced seeds then you need to hot compost it to prevent them from sprouting
I’ll never forget one day not too long ago I was outside with my dad and he commented on the sky looking hazy. I hadn’t noticed until he said something but yea it was noticeable. Later that day I came across a video of this guy who homesteads in Virginia named Nate (last name is like Petrowski or something like that lol) and he was talking about a forest fire in Virginia and how people in other states could see the smoke and it just amazed me how much smoke there had to be for it to travel that far.
Fire season. Super storms.... For many years they were saying, "It's the global south that will suffer the most!" I was telling them to quit it because north America will suffer too. Don't let the people most at fault be complacent. Well... it's arrived.
I am worrying about how the haze and smog has truncated our summers in recent years, we get higher temps but less solar come August. So the powdery mildew shows up earlier and the crops get tired, faster. For a couple years I was looking forward to having more chances to have success with things like melons and watermelons, now I am going back to thinking in terms of short season crops and more greenhouse grown crops.
My tomatoes are slow going as well. I think Portland has been a little cooler this summer. Tomatoes love the heat. Do you grow peppers? I’m about ready to pick my first peppers. Thx for sharing.
Big lack of bees in my garden this year, tons of flowering on the vines but not a lot of fruit except for the tomatoes. very low production on cukes and squash.

how do you remove all the seeds - is it always feasible to do so?

Acceptance!! Definitely something to embrace. I'm learning to accept that I make a lot of mistakes, but it's okay, since I'm a novice!

I totally agree about the air quality. It's been bad and I've had terrible congestion and it shows as good here in Salem too

Nor Cal here, no zukes at all due to early heat wave.
We have bad air quality where we are too, a state away from you 👎🏽😔
