This official response tells me all I need to know as to how it went down on the sideline. John is a true professional and I'm glad he and Coach Shanahan are with us.

John Lynch is an honest, tough, team guy. He’s in a chair, that requires him to enforce that ethic, and remove anything that is deleterious to it. No nonsense no exemptions.

The nerve to think your better than one of the top 5 players on the team.

Exactly! Greenlaw had 8 tackles in the 1st half of his 1st game back against the Rams. Campbell had 8 or more tackles in only 2 FULL games all year. 🤣 Campbell was horrible and just outright slow all year long! Good ridden!

John knew he had to go down and do something, especially when other players are telling him to go in. You know everyone's getting pissed and Campbell's about to get his asss woooped. Kudos to John Lynch, so glad hes a part of the 49ers.

What happened was that a washed-up player realized he was washed up.

I'm glad that the Niners suspended him instead of just releasing him. We give him $5 Million and he has the nerve to just quit because he got his feelings hurt?

i like how John was about to curse "he needs to get the ef- . . . " and caught himself

That’s how you know, Lynch she is a true bad ass, he doesn’t feel the need to flaunt how tough he is, if anything he’s trying to downplay it.

Campbell is delusional if he thinks he should start over a healthy Greenlaw! Greenlaw had 8 tackles in the 1st half of his 1st game back from Achilles surgery, against the Rams. Campbell had 8 tackles in only 1 FULL game all year and only 9 tackles in one game which was his best full game as a Niner. 🤣 Campbell was horrible and just outright slow all year long! Good ridden!

Reflects poorly on Shanahan. Does he control the locker room and sideline?

Lynch had to edit himself mid-sentence a couple of times. Pretty sure he almost said "He needed to get is ass off the field." 😅

The funny thing about this whole situation is Cambell truly believes he is better than Greenlaw. It's insanity. Lynch should have been pissed just because of the hubris. Then you add in he is refusing to play. What a dick.

If Devondra even has a shred of common sense, he'd just shut up and let this issue rest. I doubt anything that he says to justify this will matter anyway. He can say things like he's going through some things but that won't fly when talking about the 9ers, whose players have gone through some unimaginable stuff.

He almost slipped and said “he needs to get the F off the field” when talking about having to walk down to deal with the “distraction”, but he caught himself. Seems a bit more than the casual disagreement John described.

Know your role if you had any real talent you would have a starting position. No team wanted him and he knew this. For him to get in his feelings just shows what type of person he is and why he’s not in a starting position

I'm sure John Lynch is telling the truth from his perspective. This still more behind this story. A "9 year" veteran of the NFL all of a sudden quitting in the middle of a football game. In my opinion its possible but there has to be something else that made him do this. Is it possible that a family member of DeVondre Campbell was being threatened? In such a case nobody will fess up to such a situation if the "authorities" our involved namely the FBI.

    • @rhmayer1
      @rhmayer1 День тому

Nah. Any kind of family/personal emergency would've been communicated on the down low to Kyle and John. I'm fully convinced that if that had happened then Kyle and John would've covered for Campbell, and come up with an ambiguous reason that would sufficiently move the spotlight off of Campbell.

Look Campbell wasn’t a good fit from the beginning. He wasn’t ready to play in several of the early games so I’m wondering who decided this guy was going to be an answer and not distraction? They kept Ronnie Bell deep into a season where he couldn’t catch a cold because?
