Love to see the banter of the couch, the knowledge of the runner, and how the announcer also was genuinely engaged with the run.

@@C4_XceLsior Yeah it's also just because she's a huge Kirby fan, on top the fact she's speedran this game too (dunno about any other Kirby games, but I wouldn't be surprised). She's a genuine sweetheart.
@@C4_XceLsiorthere was a burnout paradise run that went off the rails. Mostly energetic announcer and donators, but it really worked (few years ago)
Looked it up because it sounded like she also ran the game and was right she does, so that definitely helped the engagement there
Kirby 64 is one of my favorite 64 games, hands down. It's one of the few I come back to years later and still love every second. So awesome to see it run this event.
I'm just going to say, not enough people give love to electric fire. Something about Kirby setting himself on fire and running around helplessly has always made me laugh uncontrollably.
This runwas quintessential GDQ. Great game, great run and runner, entertaining couch, engaged crowd, and fun donos. Tysm!!

I loved this so much, kirby 64 is my favorite game (and the whole franchise) and the runner couch and host were all amazing

Favorite Kirby 64 power is double rock.
Yeah it's not very creative, interesting, or useful in game, but giant golem Kirby was one of my first experiences of feeling enormous and invincible in games and that's still one of my favorite feelings.
This was an awesome run. And the commentators were having a great time which made it even more entertaining.
Crystal Shards was such a fun idea with the fusion of abilities. I really wish they'd do more of that again, because it was so exciting to see what new fusions you could come up with when the opportunity arose, and how they'd play.
I think the closest we've gotten since then is ability mixing in Squeak Squad.
There's not enough love for the giant flaming sword ability
Spike + Cutter was my favorite. I loved tbe sound effect it made to chomp enemies
I absolutely LOVE this game, and I am in awe of this new RNG manipulation. Also easily top 3 runs of all time for banter.

My favorite was... rock and cutter, I think it was? It turned you into various rock animals that couldn't take damage, the flappy bird was my favorite.
Fun fact, those are the animal friends from the previous Dark Matter games!
Both the birds were amazing, yeah - the chickadee letting you bowl straight through enemies on level ground, and the owl gives a satisfying thwomp impression.
OMG AT 29:01 I NEVER KNEW HOW TO GET THAT ONE AS A SIX YEAR OLD IT DROVE ME CRAZY...... this run was so great it brought back so many ancient memories....
drill was a fav of mine too but there’s something really satisfying about electric rock

The fact this is the only game that let you combine abilities is such a shame. Every time a new Kirby comes out, I'm hoping for the ability to make power combos again.
