This track was 100% made for the dancers you saw in this video. This song was released to this reality show where all the pro dancers were competing. Initially this song was made just for that show, but she started performing this since the song completely blew up.

Originally, this MV was supposed to be made with only the choreo of the winning dance crew, as part of the reward for winning. Jessi liked them all so much, she changed it up and let each of the competitors showcase a little of _their individual_ choreo, but in the mass scene where they are all together, they are doing the winning crew's choreo.
This song was written for a dance crew survival show. One crew choreographed it. YGX(the girls at the very beginning. The one with the lip ring is the leader AND the youngest). She originally didn't want to be in the video so they could highlight the dancers but they all wanted her in it

-gyopo translates to Korean immigrants, so the song talks about them being gyopos in the rap game. Jessi was born in NY, raised in Jersey and immigrated to Korea at 15. She’s been in the Korean music industry for a long time. She was in a couple of hiphop groups at the beginning of her career and later became a soloist but she was having problems with her label. Her contract ended with that label and Psy signed her on as his first artist under his label PNation. And she has been thriving & blooming as an artist ever since. She gained popularity through a Korean hip hop show called Unpretty Rapstar, as you can tell by her strong presence, her personality is just as strong and she butt heads with a lot of other female rappers in the show, sometimes she was picked on for being a gyopo but that’s what made her stand out. She wasn’t always the most liked artist, bc people were intimidated by her but she slowly became one of the most influential female artists in the k industry/internationally breaking beauty standards & embracing being a strong independent woman. She’s such a real person, & that’s what a lot of people (including myself) love about her.
