Undertale Yellow was missing these moments. Like, in the original Undertale, there’s these side quests with the other characters that serve no real purpose other than being friends, and Undertale Yellow has those but it’s a little lackluster compared to Undertale’s.
@@HydrapleMortar64 imo its kinda fitting in a way, because there is no "player controlling the character" meta element here, meaning every single thing that clover does is something he'd realistically do, and he never said no to martlet helping them, or no to starlo dragging him into the wild east antics etc, meaning all the interactions that happen kind of happen because he is his own character with goals, thoughts and flaws. While in Undertale we have freedom to do whatever we want, in yellow, there is no sort of meta element that we the player explore and do everything. Even the geno route in yellow is technically possible, simply because after hundreds of resets, Clover would realistically snap from all the built in subcouncious trauma and start viewing all monsters as active threats that need to be eliminated. What happens in pacifist as well works because it's Clover's journey, he wanted to know the monster's side of the argument, he figured out what past humans did, and in the end, his sacrifice was his choice, with 0 input from us.
@@IamDoru1I don't think genocide for undertale yellow is due to the constant reset. Clover wouldn't have any recollection of resets whatsoever only flowey. The reason is genocide in the genocide route is similar to what you said. Because clover realistically would also be genocidal. Unlike frisk, clover has a reason to actually be genocidal to monster. 5 children went missing in the underground and he believes the monster killed so he suspect the monster to be the enemy to mankind and when it was confirmed the human were killed by monster his love only increased towards the monster. The genocide route could be summed up to giving justice to human souls who were killed by monster by avenging them. Similar to how the pacifist route could be summed up to giving the monster justice they deserve so they can have a chance at being from the underground. It's all in the name of justice
it also makes the "martlet" hug in the neutral run all the more chilling and tragic, especially since clover doesn't react at all during it, likely feeling a mix of numbness and anger towards flowey for twisting the memory (and the knife)
I. Loved. Absolutely. EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS!!! I always wondered what was missing from Undertale yellow and this was it. It feels like it could be canon too. Everything fits. I hope and pray that there's more. personally, Star is my favorite character, but I would eat any part of this right up. 10/10.
What would happen if you decide to sit with dalv in honeydew resort and wait? Would you get a moment where clover somehow decides to stay with dalv, leading to flowey reloading?
Such an amazing mod and the fact that Dalv wanted to help Clover fighting the other monster at the beginning is so adorable like he always is. (I want to play it, but for some reason i have no connection of my computer. Idk why 😅😅. I'm trying to solve it.)

Martlet keeps saying KIND, KIND HEARTED, etc to clover. In this case, clover's soul begins to transform from yellow to green, SO HOPEFULLY they dont have to give up their soul because green has already been captured.
