I think a better way of rolling out this album might be to sell the album for free, but also give the option to pay actual money for the album and depending on how much you pay, you'll get some cool merchandise stuff. Its kinda like Bandcamp in a way.

For example how are we equating 1500streams to only one unit sale equivalent How do you only pay out $0.0035 per stream Like who cooks up these numbers ? But then again this is what happens when you as a brand / company/ artist are going to someone else’s marketplace /platform…they have leverage , they dictate everything. But it has to change now

What James Blake suggested is actually the best decision to make Ye a revolutionary artist and stamped in the history of music for the thousands of years to come. Labels today control everyone who is famous in music and our money which we pay the music platforms is not going to the artist we like unlike the days of CDs and Vinyls. Ye is influential and it’s going to be a bummer that we won’t get to listen to the full experience of Vultures on Spotify and Apple Music but if he does this move then artists will immediately start imitating him and that way he will revolutionise the interaction between fans and artists but in the same it’s gonna come at the cost of convenience and that convenience is a library of music in one app and I don’t see no one fixing the mess of independent sites unless they follow Napster's footsteps but even then the platform might turn into a baby Spotify site that will make history repeat itself so yh pretty tough for artist and the consumer to make this decision but something has to change and Ye taking the first step is actually cool but who is going to sustain that step and make it a long run thing like music platforms?
