Same axles used on the scte or the scbe or any of the tenacity line. They are all the same platform and share most of the parts. The platform started as the Losi 8ight. The losi 8ight axle stubs should fit to allow for 17mm hex wheels.
I’ve been wanting one of these! How do you think it would hold up to my stock v4 Kraton electronics? I swapped mine out the first week of owning. Have a blx185 and motor looking for a home!
Right now mine can’t even stay together with stock power. The rear pinion bearings are broken again. I’ve got a new rear case and NMB bearings to see if I can at least get one complete run out of it.
Great Video! I’m trying to put the tekno driveshafts (rear). The problem is that the axle is too big to fit the bearing and the shims. I would appreciate any suggestions. Thank you in advanced.
Just a thought for if you have to polish something like that again, if you have a drill with a chuck big enough to hold onto the drive cups you can use it like a make shift lathe and sand it down evenly as it turns in the drill. Awesome work as always Joe just a tip that may help in the future.
@@ExocagedRC awesome! thanks. i have a set i need to put on... was trying to wait for black friday to pick up a 1/2 drill to sand down the diff cups easily...
Got a Lasernut for the 15 year old for Christmas. Haven't been able to get a full run....far short of it without snapping axles. 4 shafts so far. Ordering the Techno now. Thanks.
Hi Exo, thanks for another good video. From my experience, next time you could do this: take your cylindrical part & fit it to a drill, while spinning in the drill of choice, hold the sand paper on the rotating part. 😉 It is a lot easier, even with basic electric tools. Just trying to help & save your hand wear & tear ! -Keep it rollin' !! RC ALL THE WAY.

This is the best channel for Lasernut woes. Cheers! I love the idea of modding and ingenuity opposed to shelving a potentially great vehicle. Hopefully they make upgrade or replacement parts that fix existing problems.
I can't believe LOSI have put this out with the weak axle issue it's really pied me off.. I really don't want to run mine until I've got some replacement shafts.. Great Video Exo👍💯
I run Tekno m6 shafts on my 2wd slash. I initially had a failure but after adjusting my Suspension travel to prevent binding they've performed excellent with 3s lipo power and 70+ mph top speed. They've lasted over 3yrs of weekend bashing and speedruns. I like them alot.
Hey exo I’m getting the tekno shafts for my Lasernut but do you need the whole kit for the back also? Or can I take shortcuts? Thanks for your helpful vids!
Just got these Tenko shafts and installing this weekend so thanks for the install tips. Also have a Reefs 500 RAW servo with V2 HD horn and Exotek HD Steering set going in so hopefully that will cure the steering issues. Cheers!
Exotek makes an aluminum steering assembly for the Tenacity Line. The TLR SCTE 3.0 will not fit right because it is standard instead of metric. You should update the ESC firmware really made a difference for me.
Ed Wenger You need the Hobbywing USB programmer to connect to the computer. Than you run spektrums software to update. Spektrum sells a usb programmer but most of us already have the hobbywing one.
I put this axles in and noticed when I tighten the wheel the bearings start to bind.. there’s no step off to catch the inner bearing on the Tekno axle like there is on the stock one. Did you have this same issue?
How did you manage to break the dogbones? Losi steel is usually bulletproof. Did they snap? I've built a few Losi kits and have a few other Losi rigs, I find them really enjoyable to work on
Hot racing makes a differential locker that fits all 3 differentials in all ten sct/db series carc and trucks have them in the center and rear of my nitro sct
I think the heavier diff fluid probably isn't helping your turning much. I'm not finding the steering too bad in mine after cranking the servo saver all the way tight. I also mounted a DB pro wing and mount on mine and like it a lot better. Looks better and seems to handle better, even thought it's lighter in the rear. It does correct better in the air now though.
that diff oil isn't hurting or making anything better at the tires, I've been reading the stock servo needs to go to the trash bin, I have a raw500 on the way for it.
If you dont have access to a lathe, I have used a drill in past to turn down parts like a drive cup. Much more accurate in getting it to the correct size then to just sand blindly by hand.
I had the same problems and then some.. Rx doa, Right rear wheel wasn't attached and the nut had fallen off in the box.. The rear body swing arm/ sway bar wasnt attached and no screw found so it looks like it left the factory missing this screw. I had 1 of the front leds in the fog light doa and EVERY screw holding the steering/front end in was 4 or so full turns from being tight.. Then stripped out a wheel after i swapped in some nyloc nuts and broke the front right drive shaft on the 2nd battery. Iv had 8 RTR cars and this has been the worst out of the box experience iv every had with RC's. Worst part is the car is great when it works and i want it to work!! Actually no the worst part is they said they would cover and fix everything and then sent me an email saying all but the fog light is on back order with time line of them coming in as the next batch coming in is more or less called for already -_-.

Thanks so much for the info on the tekno shafts. I think the stock ones are bottoming out because of the big tires and the chassis not touching the ground. Does the front now bottom out with those larger diameter cvd/dogbones?

Sub $50 hmm that would be a difficult one, maybe a savox 1268? I'll be putting in a raw500, love those servos!
I think the vehicle length paired with the limited throw of the steering limits the Lasernuts turning radius.
Would the Lasernut body/cage fit onto a Tekno buggy (eb48)?
