I posted this on Andrew Rooney's reaction, but for the algorithm: it boggles me that anyone can keep this sort of time in their head, let alone coordinate multiple limbs too! I'm reminded of watching Rachel Flowers playing Steve Reich's Piano _Phase_ solo, or listening to some of King Crimson's more polyrhythmic outings. I also feel that it should sound like mush, but it's very listenable - thanks for sharing!
Same, it's so chill and kind of understated in execution, but musically it is absolutely mental, just next-level drumming and excellent compostition. And she has such a tasteful touch and style on the kit!
I read the description and I hadn’t even noticed that the guitar part is just the same loop all throughout the song. It’s incredible how the rhythmic changes and the way you adapt your drumming to them (with a lot of taste!) completely drive the emotions of the song. Every meter feels different. Awesome showcasing of how technique can contribute to musicality instead of overplaying.
can´t stop listening to this. it´s f***ing amazing. it´s like a massage or tickling for my brain whilst deeply touching my heart. thank you for this amazing piece of music!
You could reinvigorate Tesseract. And they're still pretty vigorous. But you know what, don't. Here on UA-cam, you've been showing us your building blocks for years. Now the architect is starting to see her works come together. I honestly have not heard musical drumming like this from anyone else. You've blown my mind, and I'm a hardcore Matt Garstka fan.
I'm new here so I haven't seen the building blocks, but yeah. There's something insane about the combination of everything coming together here. It's nice to listen to (not just mindless polyrhythms), it's incredibly musical, and obviously Camille has incredible control over rhythm. This is incredible stuff
Mental Web has been a thinking machine.. for me it's not easy to believe one person in the first place could care about the artist and giving themselves credits at the same time..
This is REALLY impressive. All aspects of it, the composition is fantastic, one of the hardest things in music is combining advanced writing with musicality and emotion. This does it beautifully. Then there is the drumming itself, which deserves all the praise in the world.
Maybe one of the most difficult drums line I ever se in my life. Another level of skill here 😮😮😮 is just impossible for me to reproduce the first minute of this song.
Those jeans are now my favorite color and style.. thanks a lot for not only fashion but rhythm and stick it style.. keep jamming on with that high-hat skill level..🥁
I am moved by this song and by your playing of it. The intricate polyrhythms have my head bobbing and my foot tapping. I tried finding this song on Spotify but couldn't. I have this song on repeat and wanna add it to my Spotify playlist!!
Bravo! Very mental drumming. I could see very clearly your different meters and the sound compared to the riff just as you said. A drummer has to really get into his head to play what you played. Sounded musical as well. Very high level of play. Much appreciated.
This feels so new and exciting, I appreciate the power you bring to the musical environment to make very rhythmically complex music so so so listenable and groovy. Thank you!
Super…
This is THE BEST that I've heard the superstar classics in a recorded setting! The kick drum in person always sounded preEq'd for a Maple kick drum. The drums for thin shells were THE LOUDEST Maple kit I've ever played besides the Gretsch Renowns 😅 This makes me wanna get a superstar classic again 🖤🖤🖤
What is time? this is like a new perspective of reality taken from the most simple heart beat and expanded beyond what most people can even imagine. polyrhythm. I love this constant boundary pushing and exploration in music while the mainstream haven't gotten past the heart beat basics.
Ive watched like 20 other people play this, i think yours rips the hardest and truest. They better see this, loved your playing best of luck and thanks for the vid my man 💪
This is groove and polyrhythmics at its best!Amazing, thx Camille and thx for always sharing how to achive playing this.If Tesseract would be in need of a sub for Jay Postones, you are the best choice. Keep on growing.Cheers
I just wanted to also say with the polyrhythm going over dancing with the flood kind of overlapping it sounds pretty cool.. I listened to both parts at the same time and it was amazing
Wow! Super cool. I love the way it rotates around the main melody, creating different accents on the looping riff. Jams like this are great for me personally because it's straight forward enough to groove along with, playing or just tapping, but complex enough to keep it interesting ‐ without turning into a solely technical example. It's a perfect balance of creativity and technique and groove. Nice! ❤👍
So happy to have just discovered you. Thank you for this precise and beautiful clinic on polyrhythms. Just mesmerizing! If anyone says 'not bad for a girl' you should check yourselves, really.
Oh my god.. Camille Bigeault and.. post-rock with progressive unfluence?! ?! HELL YEAH ! MOAR! These ostinato segments of post-rock is my favourite part of my favourite genre and style, when all going to spin and evolve over these ostinato segments.. it is such hypnotic vibe and atmosphere. And here all my fav combined together in multiple ways: post-rock basis, polyrhythmic structures, lovely and complex drums foundation, evolving into several parts. ahhh.. And I like this discription deep into long process of creating this composition. To be honest, It was maybe first time when I listened to original composition here, because I'm usually obsessive interested into all drums-cooking at this channel. SO it was so surprisingly pleasant even more! I love all of this.. from complex polymeter rhythms with post-rock vibes.. to overall emotional and charismatic playing as always. Aww, magnificent!
Hello Camille ! Marco
Incredible playing Camille!
Her pants don’t look long enough to have pockets THIS deep. Wild.
Ima hold on to this line 😂😂

I'm so blown away by this. Some of the best drumming I've ever witnessed.
For real, I can't wrap my head around how awesome Camille is
Same, it's so chill and kind of understated in execution, but musically it is absolutely mental, just next-level drumming and excellent compostition. And she has such a tasteful touch and style on the kit!
I have no word that match my feelings when I listen to this music. My 2024 song so far. Stunning.
Thank you. Reading that really encourages me to keep going!
My daughter (a guitarist and singer) is infatuated with polymeter and I love sending her your videos.

So musical, so balanced, so dynamic, excellent playing! Thank you.
Incredible drumming! You think you know odd meters fairly well, and then you stumble onto this! Impressive!
can´t stop listening to this. it´s f***ing amazing. it´s like a massage or tickling for my brain whilst deeply touching my heart. thank you for this amazing piece of music!
Holy shit
I'm speechless

She's awesome, next level drumming ! TY Camille
I watched this about twenty times. I fell into it. Really stunning work!. Nice polys! I feel 6/4 in spots. Cool alternating time sigs.
Mental Web has been a thinking machine.. for me it's not easy to believe one person in the first place could care about the artist and giving themselves credits at the same time..
Some of the best drumming Iv'e seen in 50 years. Incredible!

Thank you very much! I have not released a studio version yet on the streaming platforms, but I intend to do so before 2025. I'll let you know! :)
A different class, outstanding drummer
There you are with that beautiful battlefield face..🥁🥁🥁💪💪

J'adore.
Percussive divinity right here.
Never subbed so fast.
Love you! Love you! Love you! Thank you!
On top of the insane performance, those are the best-sounding toms I've ever heard. That was amazing
Insane track. Your drumming moves me. WOW...
Thank you so much 🙏🙏
Incroyable!!!!
Merci beaucoup :D :D
More than cool, I love such sounds and grooves. Great music for me!! udo
This feels so new and exciting, I appreciate the power you bring to the musical environment to make very rhythmically complex music so so so listenable and groovy. Thank you!
What a talented artist.. went back to watch more of her after I was blown away by yesterday's upload 🙌🏼
What a complex rhythm and awesome 👏👏👏👏
Hi, your dedication to this Timig touches my heart... Thank you. 💗

So unique, insanely tasteful, always in the pocket. And the tone of the kit and cymbals!! Divine

DAMN! Intelligent and groovy at the same time.

Thanks! But who did you watch playing this? Since it's my composition I'm not sure other people play it haha
This is groove and polyrhythmics at its best!Amazing, thx Camille and thx for always sharing how to achive playing this.If Tesseract would be in need of a sub for Jay Postones, you are the best choice. Keep on growing.Cheers
Just ordered Camille’s book on polyrhythms can’t wait to dive in!
KICK ASS DRUMMING!!! Wow!!
Thank you so much, that means a lot 😯🥹🙏🏻🙏🏻
Emotions
Veryi cool! ❤Thanks
Finally. You’ve appeared. Thank you for working so hard through the adversity….. Believe me, I know. Don’t ever stop. Ever. Ever!
Thanks 👊
I just wanted to also say with the polyrhythm going over dancing with the flood kind of overlapping it sounds pretty cool.. I listened to both parts at the same time and it was amazing
It's not a polyrhythm actually, on Dancing in the Flood, it's a 4/4 groove with a lot of playing in it haha
this amazes me every time i watch it 🔥
Wooooo - how cool and good is that!? Fusion at it´s best - can´t wait to try! Simon Phillips/ Protocol - you get good successors 😀
That really hits the spot! Sweeet! Great performance all around Camille!
Sounds like Leprous, love it

4:20 Polyrhythmic stank face ftw
I just knew someone was gonna say that shit.
OMG I love the groove, a beautiful drum kit.
I LOVE THIS!!!!@❤
This is SO beautiful! I love it ❤
This needs more views
I like that she’s using a super star classic as it’s more affordable to the average drummer like myself . Very clean and dynamic performance!
O.M.G.
Loved it! Loved the faces you made too. You were deep in to it. ❤👍
Everything about this was amazing. That tama finish is out of this world!! And those badges😍😍😍
WOOOOOWWWW! That was impressive!!

I think I gave this some Love on Meinl, but of course I will here, too 💖
Been watching for years now and this is absolutely NEXT LEVEL...DAMN!!!
Killer track! Although I had that "Oh crap my car door is open" reflex when the track started :P

Hyper conceptuel. Ta musique me retourne l’esprit à chaque fois. Merci Camille !
Amazingly groovy
Bravo! 👏 Outstanding performance, flawless, just absolutely enchanting.
Superb!
goose bumps....
Yay, Camille. Love your playing. Masterful never brash. Polymeters rule. Pattern pattern, wonderfully kaleidoscopic.
Loved hearing parts of this from the practice videos, and now finally in full form!
Playing the drums 👏👏
First time here. What a drummer !!!! Hey @drumeo wake up, call her !!
We actually already shot some content with Drumeo , but it's getting old (the session is from 2018)!
