Loved Crystar!! I had all the figures including the mounts. Really wish this line did well. Even as a child I could recognize these were good figures!! They don't make them like this anymore. The memories of going into Woolworths or Fedco and buying a Crystar figure. The good ol days. Thanks for the walk down memory lane!

How is it that Super 7 or similar hasn't rebooted this toy Line?!? Crystar was sooo freaking cool! I had Crystar, the crystal dragon, the crystal dwarf and the same set as the one featured here. I loved those things. The crystal sword in this set always ended up being the super magic weapon sought after by all the other toys in my epic toyline-spanning adventures. The Legion of Heroes (GI Joe, Superpowers, Star Wars heroes, Crystar, Autobots, He Man, and Voltron) would fight the Evil Alliance (Skeletor, the Emperor and Darth Vader, Cobra, and the deceptions). The battles would literally last days during the long summers.

The demon skull Danzig uses was taken from cover art on a Crystar comic book.

I got the crystal dragon with a Crystar figure for Christmas one year. I remember being disappointed because Crystar didn't have articulated legs so he was permanently bow legged to sit on the dragon. It was a pretty cool looking figure though.

Your mission has been accomplished, sir. Nostalgia engaged! We just posted a Crystar song on our channel. I love this stuff. Good Crystar content is hard to come by. I'm glad I found this

We had so much fun with these in the summer of '83. (I loved the schizophrenic nature of the Feldspar figure.) Does anyone else remember how the Zardeth action figure that came with the wizard playset was dressed differently than the standalone figure? Always wondered about that.

The art for the rest of the series was pretty cool too. Crystallium was such an interesting, alien, and unique world. I love the comic.

I remember seeing Crystar on the shelves of K-Mart and Children's Palace as late as 1989, before they were gone for good. I bought two of Crystar himself, because he just wasn't the same without his awesome removable helmet!! Great memories!!

I had the Moltar figure and I thought he was pretty badass. He reminded me of a demon from the pits of hell that carried a huge double bladed battle axe.🔥

These guys have actually appeared in Marvel Comics Weird World limited series last year, and in an issue of Squadron Supreme set in Weird World that came out last March.

I had the green one that came with a catapult. I also had one of the wizards. It would have made more sense looking back on it if they were the same scale has He-man. Since they were fantasy characters as well they would have blended in with those guys more.

Finally. Always wondered who/what that toy was. I called it Crystal Man. I stole him from the rich kid that went to the same babysitter. Every chance I got I reenacted an old kung fu movie I had seen. Dr. Doom, Rambo and some goons raided Crystal Man's small village, murdered most, beat up the rest, and gave Crystal Man the whooping of his life, and then abruptly left. Crystal Man traveled far and wide to find a martial arts master and trained for as long as the sun shone each day until he was ready to avenge his family, his friends, and his honor.

My brother had Crystar and his dragon, I inherited them in the late 80's and had no idea who they were, I believe I mistook Crystar for an Iceman figure.
The dragon earned a place of infamy in pur house. My older sister and I had bunk beds and me being a 5 year old did not put all my toys away before bed, she got up in the middle of the night and being 11 years old preferred jumping down from the top bunk instead of using the ladder. She landed right on that bastard which let's face it, 80's plastic is tougher than today's steel and EVISCERATED the bottom of her foot. I still have to hear about every holiday

I have the comics, and they were pretty cool. Interesting fact, Marvel created the comic (or the concept at least) first, and then reached out to Remco to create a toyline to tie in with the comic. I plan on doing a video on this sadly under recognized comic on my channel, hopefully in the near future.

Did they make that shield out of the cockpit glass from a vintage Tie Fighter?

This looks and sounds like one of the stupidest ideas that there ever was, even by fantasy standards. The toy makers should have come up with some sort of gimmick for the villains to help them stand out more.
